Enjoy your bedtime with our custom made mattresses. Designed with AH Beard and made in Sydney, Australia, sleeping becomes an experience!

Our Foxtel System has 1,000 movies, including new releases, and 4,000+ TV episodes OnDemand. Casting from your personal device is also available.
Fresh Linens Supplied
Fresh linens including sheets, towels and pool towels are provided for your stay. Our Guest linens & towels are professionally laundered after each stay.

Each Pavilion has a fully equipped kitchenette with a ceramic cooktop, microwave oven, full-size fridge, electric frypan, juicer, toaster and dishwasher.
Log Fires (seasonal)
Our log fires are stacked and ready for use from early May until the October long weekend. These times may vary depending on the weather.
Nespresso and Twinings
All Pavilions have a Nespresso Creatista automatic coffee machine with a supply of capsules. A selection of Twinings teas are also provided.

Privacy is paramount. Our Pavilions are spaced apart for seclusion, with screened pools/decks and no passing traffic, you can hear yourself think!

supreme luxury and peace in your own hilltop sanctuary It is a long drive up the unsealed track from Wollemi, but from the moment we arrived at the gates of wild edge retreat we felt at ease. The welcome from hosts Alan and Andrew was warm and genuine but never intrusive, and throughout our stay nothing was too much trouble. The 4 pavilions are cleverly sited, two on each side of the ridge, so that each feels as though it is the only building for miles around and takes full advantage of the superb views across the valleys from the ridge top position. The pavilions are beautifully laid out and furnished to the highest standard. The attention to detail- scented candles and relaxing music from the bose sound system- put you at ease before you step in and take in the magnificent views. The living area is very spacious and well-equipped with everything you could possibly need for a long weekend (including quality kitchen knives!) The more than ample breakfast provisions in the fridge were of the highest quality There is not much to do other than stroll around the pleasant grounds at wild edge but frankly, once installed, we simply did not want to leave our pavilion and that, I think, is the whole point of this place. As it was raining Alan met us at our car with an umbrella before taking us to the Wind Spirit Pavilion on the golf buggy. Walking in to candles, an aromatherapy burner and soft music made it very special. The pavilion is luxurious and has everything you need. Relaxing on the deck watching and listening to the birds while taking in the views was so relaxing. The infinity pool and day bed were another delight. The cheese platter and breakfast provisions were plentiful and delicious. Everything about our stay was perfect. The room was spotlessly clean, magnificent mountain views, We loved the 2 person spa bath with the bi-fold doors and The infinity pool was excellent with the day bed beside it, very private and relaxing. Our host Alan was lovely and couldn't be more accommodating we our every need. The BBQ platter was excellent and more than enough for us, The Ploughman's lunch was also excellent, just enough for lunch and the cheese platter was excellent, The romance package was more than we could have asked for with candles every where, the room was stunning. Words can not describe the experience that you will have staying at the retreat. We have already recommended the retreat to our friends and family and We couldn't have asked for a better getaway than this. We will definitely be back but for longer next time... This place is simply amazing!! We booked online and when Emma contacted us by phone I asked a few questions and told her we were staying here for a little honeymoon! First little personal detail I noticed was the "Just Married" sign on the back of the cart!! When we arrived at the pavilion, when we opened the door the aircon was on the room smelt amazing! We were greeted with a bottle of champagne and a personal note from Emma and Mick which I have kept for my wedding box and again some "Just married" signs in our room!! Our pavilion was incredibly clean! It had the feeling that we had been the first to stay there (which were obviously not) which in my opinion is the level of cleanliness you want! I had read the emails when we booked and all the info on the website and when I jumped online and read some reviews it is very clearly noted 1. The driveway can be rough! It was actually not as bad as I was expecting and noticed that it was better in some parts then the tar on the main roads! 2. Get your groceries on the way out because it is not a resort! We did drop into Cessnock on the way and grabbed some supplies, although we did go out almost everyday and have a look around but if you don't want to have to leave, it is very obvious to grab it on the way! We were on our way out one morning to go for a little drive and grab some breakfast when we ran into Mick he suggested a little cafe in Laguna!! It was perfect, thanks Mick!! The pavilion has everything you need and more! It has all top of the range appliances! We got the seafood platter and I cannot recommend it more! It was some of the best seafood I have ever had! It was so fresh! It was the perfect honeymoon waking up to the birds every morning! We stayed 4 nights, 5 days! The pool, the spa, the robes and the movies in bed! It couldn't have been better! We stayed in the Earth Song pavilion and the view was breathtaking. Our hosts could not have been more accomadating and discreet. Walking in to candles, aromatherapy and music set the tone for our weekend. - Heaven on Earth Travelling a long distance and driving through the dirt and narrow road is pretty hard. But once you drive up to the retreat that's where you were see the most beautiful nature view that god created. I call "Heaven on Earth". I love everything about this place the beautiful room, pool, tub, scenery, smell of nature breeze, essential oil, relaxing music, ruby the dog , deck, day-bed, fireplace, kitchen and the staff. 2nights was short i wish i could stay there forever 💜. Me and my partner have the most quality time together no wifi, no phone or disturb n also no social media time for us. - Breathtaking, private and romantic. We stayed in the Wind Spirit pavilion for our wedding anniversary and we absolutely loved it. We were lucky to get gorgeous weather so spent all our time by the beautiful, private pool. The sunken hydrotherapy tub overlooking the beautiful view is just divine. The pavilion was beautifully clean and we had everything we needed to stay and relax for our whole stat. The day bed by the pool was a great place to relax between swims and just soak up the amazing surroundings. Sunsets are gorgeous and we enjoyed them with some champagne while sitting on the recliners on the deck. Alan was lovely and very helpful and provided beautiful breakfast. Booking online was fast and efficient. I had a little query re laundry, sent a message via their website and promptly got a response via email. Apart from the confirmation email received upon booking, there is another email that was sent a week prior to our stay containing all pertinent information including driving instructions. A portion of the road leading up to the retreat location was unsealed. Thus, the drive up there was quite rough and uncomfortable. Nothing unexpected as this was clearly noted on the email. But upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Emma, we heard the chirping of the birds and saw how beautiful the place is, so we thought it was all worth it. Our pavilion (Earth Song) was well-stocked and is extremely clean. We were greeted with some lovely tealight candles, a sweet little birthday cake for my husband, a personalized welcome letter with a beautiful relaxing music on the background. The breakfast provisions were extremely generous (see photos) and we loved the little snacks provided as well that went perfectly with our coffee/tea. My personal favourite was the Citrus Press! I love my OJ freshly squeezed for me for breakfast! The picturesque view from the deck accompanied with the soft chirping of the birds was just the lovely break that we needed from our usual daily routine. We loved soaking ourselves in the warm pool and how we ended our day with a nice warm spa bath. Overall, I think it’s the little personal touches all throughout our stay that made this one particularly stood out from all the rest we’ve had before. From Emma personally greeting us when we arrived helping us with our stuff, the personalized letter, the little cake, setting the mood in the room (candles, music) for when we arrive, the little notes reminding us to just call when we need anything or extra provision, up to the recommendations on where to stop on the way back home! I cannot thank you enough Emma & Mick for helping me make this staycation a truly special and memorable one for my husband! We just cannot wait to be back! TIPS: - Albeit breakfast provisions were extremely generous, bring enough food & bev items that’ll last for the duration of your stay as there are no shops within walking distance to the retreat. The nearest grocery as per the pre-stay email is 35mins drive from there. - There is no laundry facility onsite so it’s helpful to bring a laundry bag for used clothes - No need to bring anything to fully enjoy the spa bath. I actually bought a lush bubble bar but apparently, I can’t use it there. - Genuinely my favourite place on the surface of the earth If you could reach into our heads and pull our all of the things that would make our perfect holiday, Wild Edge would be it. A beautiful location with an incredible uninterrupted view of the bush/jungle, a pavilion so private that you feel like the only people around for miles, a private pool, a beautiful and large outdoor deck for eating, yoga and playing cards on the day bed, a bbq for outdoor cooking every morning and night, an incredible spa bath and tropical shower, indigenous toiletries, absolutely lovely hosts who absolutely get what you need on a trip like this and provide everything that make it special as well as all of the essentials, and the kind of animals wandering around that you want to see (kangaroos on the drive up, goannas on site) but no huge spiders?! (how did they do that?!) Seriously though, we're lucky to have stayed in some amazing places and I think the best way of describing Wild Edge is to say that it is the best holiday we've ever been on. We spent much of our time on the private deck, just taking in the glorious views and were in awe of the ever-changing landscape from sunrise to sunset. We were fascinated with the abundance of bird life and watched as they happily pruned the native shrubs by day and were treated to a spectacular display of stars in the sky at night. We wish we could keep this our little secret but that would be unfair to our hosts who work so hard creating such a unique experience for their guests. - If only it were forever Just recently home from our fantastic weekend at Wild Edge. From the moment we had put through our initial enquiry to Alan to the moment we were leaving the whole experience has been absolutely fantastic. Gorgeous views, amazingly clean accommodation, friendly service and very stress free environment. - An amazing retreat, we will definitely be back My husband and I stayed at Wild Edge Retreat to mark our wedding anniversary, and what a romantic setting! The pavilions were immaculately presented and we were lucky enough to be upgraded to one of the pavilions with an infinity pool. As we woke up on Saturday morning we were overwhelmed by the beautiful view of the valley, we didn’t want to leave….ever! Alan went out of his way to make our stay wonderful, he booked us dinner on the Saturday night (and even dropped us there and back so we could drink a few celebratory wines). What a host! 10 year wedding anniversary Firstly this place is beautiful, quiet and decorated really well. I dont really do reveiws often but always read them, however I've felt compelled to this time as I would have loved some warning myself. I can honestly say my husband and I have never felt more unwelcomed! When we arrived at reception our host immediatly started complaining about lack of water as they are on tank water, then moved onto difficult guests.When shown to our pavillion it got worse, each instruction on how to use or find things was followed by a story of what other guests had done leaving us with the impression that gests are the bain in there lives! Stories of people emptying and refilling the spa, turning the aircon on too low, lighting the fire in summer. On and on it went after just escaping three young children for the first time ever since having kids this was the last thing we needed! We managed to laugh it off however after he had left, unfortunately though the lack of tact continued the next afternoon. After going on a wine tour (Wollombi wine tours, recommend them) we return to find they had serviced the pavillion, something we were not expecting and perhaps a pleasant suprise untill we saw the letter on the table. Now I will admit we were smoking the night before somthing we do whilst trying to take ourselves back 9 years prior to kids, I had read on their website to put water in ash trays which we did do, we also lit citranella candels to ward off the mozzies. Our stay corresponded with a heat wave, so I do understand the bush fire concern as we live in amomgst the bush even more than the place is itself. The letter explaining this concern would have been fairly well recived by us except for the fact it contained the threat of penaties for arson, mentioning fines of up to $100,000 and years of imprisonment!! Really, happy 10 yrs to you both! Brian & Mandyread moreread lessBrian F17-02-2013A True Retreat From Start to Finish, the experience at Wild Edge was amazing, we were contacted by Andrew on the morning of the day of our arrival to ensure we knew how to find the place and were given some helpful hints about what to bring. Arriving and making the short walk to reception we were blown away by the view and the grounds. Andrew greeted us with a warm and friendly welcome and we were then taken with our luggage to our Pavilion by buggy along the board walk that connects the pavilions with reception and the car park. The Pavilion was perfect, tastefully decorated, well appointed with attention to detail that would put many 5 star hotels to shame. The cleanliness was flawless, and lots of thoughtful touches included, not least the generous breakfast provisions. Andrew gave us a run through in how to operate everything, including the ready to light fireplace that was backed up with plenty of wood to keep it going. Some relaxation music was already playing on the Bose sound system and it did not take long to unwind, we spent the rest of the afternoon on the ample verandah relaxing on the day bed and soaking up the winter sun,enjoying the breathtaking view, whilst sheltered from the light breeze by the privacy screens at each end of the verandah. As the sun went down we moved inside to the comfy lounge to enjoy a drop from the Wollombi Vineyard, which is close to the turn off to Wilde Edge , we took advantage of the wide selection of Foxtel programs , complemented by the extensive library of free DVD's available at reception. The two person Spa bath is a treat, get in before the sun goes down to admire the view whilst you relax, alternately you can use the Rain shower head in the large shower cubical that features a frame less screen so as not to interrupt the view ( there is a full down roll down curtain if you don't want the birds looking at you). The bed was super comfortable, I believe no matter how great a room is, if the bed is bad the whole stay is bad, this bed was great, as were the pillows .... we slept like babies and the roll down curtains did a great job of allowing us a sleep in. The view in the morning was special with low fog concealing the valley below, birds fluttering about the verandah as we enjoyed our hot breakfast and watch the fog burn off to reveal the valley below . After a short trip to town to collect a paper and some lunch provisions the rest of the day was spent much like the first, just relaxing in the quietness and complete privacy soaking up the winter sun and wishing we never had to return to the world.
