Each Pavilion has a fully equipped kitchenette with a ceramic cooktop, microwave oven, full-size fridge, electric frypan, juicer, toaster and dishwasher.

Our log fires are stacked and ready for use from early May until the October long weekend. These times may vary depending on the weather.
Nespresso and Twinings
All Pavilions have a Nespresso Creatista automatic coffee machine with a supply of capsules. A selection of Twinings teas are also provided.

Privacy is paramount. Our Pavilions are spaced apart for seclusion, with screened pools/decks and no passing traffic, you can hear yourself think!

SIMPLY STUNNING!! I have had my eye on this retreat for a while now and finally got to experience it for my boyfriend and my 5 year anniversary. It doesn't get any more beautiful and romantic than this place!!! This retreat is by far the most amazing place we have EVER come across.I actually find it difficult to put into words how extraordinary Wild Edge Retreat is. From the moment we got there we were greeted by the host Alan, who was an absolute pleasure to deal with and makes you feel right at home the moment you arrive. The retreat itself is just spectacular with beautiful views and as soon as you enter the gate of the retreat it is like entering a completely different world of relaxation and tranquility. The pavilion itself was absolutely INCREDIBLE that you don't want to leave (I was speechless when I first walked in). It is so beautifully furnished with flawless finishes and attention to detail. Everything was pure perfection from the beautiful views from the pavillion and bathroom, the bedding, the outdoor relaxation area and the lovely breakfast treats that are provided. Every single last, tiny detail has been carefully thought of and taken care of by the owner of the retreat. The pavilion was so unbelievably clean and even on arrival we were greeted with soothing music and beautiful smells because of the burning oils. We stayed in the Nature's Mist pavilion with a private pool overlooking nothing but green bushland which just captivates you for hours. I honestly can't speak more highly of this retreat or recommend it enough! This retreat is an absolute must for a romantic getaway or even just to relax away from the world. - Great place to unwind Spent three relaxing nights and enjoyed every minute. The location is perfect and the accommodation was very well appointed and comfortable. Well worth the trip. - Most amazing Paradise stay From the minute we arrived we felt welcomed! We just spent 3 nights in the Natures Pavilion and one word ... WOW! The pavilion was very spacious, very clean, and had all the necessities you could require and more! We didn't have to leave the Pavilion at all. Cooking facilities were great, bed very comfy, comfy lounge, Foxtel, and of course the private pool! Amazing! With only a few hour drive from Sydney, we had a fantastic, quiet and relaxing few days away. As it was raining Alan met us at our car with an umbrella before taking us to the Wind Spirit Pavilion on the golf buggy. Walking in to candles, an aromatherapy burner and soft music made it very special. The pavilion is luxurious and has everything you need. Relaxing on the deck watching and listening to the birds while taking in the views was so relaxing. The infinity pool and day bed were another delight. - "Absolutely beautiful " We stayed at Wild Edge some time ago but I thought I would still write a review. We love going to the Hunter Valley and finding unique places to stay. Wild Edge is one of these places where everything is immaculate and a wonderful breakfast is also included . The views are amazing and the quiteness is so relaxing. We have stayed in one of the villas that have a pool and felt like we were on holidays overseas without the time consuming travel. It is tucked away just past Wollombi if coming from Sydney. We were warmly greeted on arrival and driven to our accommodation by golf cart, we stayed in Wind Spirit. We were immediately excited by the setup, in particular a large bed in an open plan room, the spa bath with large fully opening windows, opening out on to your private balcony, and the private infinity pool and day bed. The kitchen was well stocked along with delicious breakfast supplies. Weather wise, were treated to drizzle, warm sunny weather, and a storm rolling in over the hills during our stay. We met the local wombat and went for a short walk around the complex. But mostly we relaxed! And it was so easy to do so. The lack of phone reception is a blessing, and the wifi was very reliable for when we really needed to connect to the real world again. - A weekend to remember We have just stayed in Nature's Mist for our Anniversary. It was everything we had hoped for and took full advantage of the peace, tranquility and magic view over the Wollombi valley below. As we have visited and stayed in the Wollombi area a few times before, we wanted to just chill out and make the most of the surroundings. We bought enough with us to be self sufficient for the weekend without a need to travel back down the hill. It was having our own private pool which attracted us to Wild Edge this time as we had been in the area in March previously and know how hot it can be. The joy to wake up on both mornings to the song of the bell birds and mist in the valley below made it very memorable. This along with the other abundant bird life welcoming the day was beautiful. I just wish I had remembered my Bird book (maybe something that can be added to each pavilion) Andrew and Alan must be commended for the passion they have for their retreat and the presentation of our pavilion. The place was immaculate and had everything we needed. We took a quiet stroll around the grounds to find out which of the pavilions had the best perspective for the different times of year as we would like to go back in the colder months to make the most of the fire place. After discussing with Alan, he pointed us to Earths Song which sits higher and has a north west aspect so would be drenched in winter sun.. Hubby and I have just returned this week from the most wonderful few days at Wild Edge Retreat at Wollombi. This is the best place to celebrate a romantic Wedding Anniversary or that special occasion. It is so peaceful, so private, so thoroughly clean, so comfortable … and takes your breath away with its most amazing views. The food provided for breakfast is so ample in its portions that we also used some of it for an evening meal. All the internal features are high end (such as the Dyson hair dryer etc), but the views are what make it such a wonderful place to just come and relax! I love the scenic drive here - it’s such a beautiful part of the country and not far from Sydney. The hostess Emma was so welcoming, and although all 4 Pavilions were booked during our stay, we never saw another person, such is the clever design and layout of the property. Just the sounds of nature and wildlife … and the most amazing view of the brilliant stars at night! I also loved the fact that each pavilion has its own private swimming pool. And I also love the fact that it is a large property that is gated, so even though we had the privacy of feeling we were the only ones here, it was comforting to know that although we were way out in the bush, someone else was on the property should there ever be a need. 10 year wedding anniversary Firstly this place is beautiful, quiet and decorated really well. I dont really do reveiws often but always read them, however I've felt compelled to this time as I would have loved some warning myself. I can honestly say my husband and I have never felt more unwelcomed! When we arrived at reception our host immediatly started complaining about lack of water as they are on tank water, then moved onto difficult guests.When shown to our pavillion it got worse, each instruction on how to use or find things was followed by a story of what other guests had done leaving us with the impression that gests are the bain in there lives! Stories of people emptying and refilling the spa, turning the aircon on too low, lighting the fire in summer. On and on it went after just escaping three young children for the first time ever since having kids this was the last thing we needed! We managed to laugh it off however after he had left, unfortunately though the lack of tact continued the next afternoon. After going on a wine tour (Wollombi wine tours, recommend them) we return to find they had serviced the pavillion, something we were not expecting and perhaps a pleasant suprise untill we saw the letter on the table. Now I will admit we were smoking the night before somthing we do whilst trying to take ourselves back 9 years prior to kids, I had read on their website to put water in ash trays which we did do, we also lit citranella candels to ward off the mozzies. Our stay corresponded with a heat wave, so I do understand the bush fire concern as we live in amomgst the bush even more than the place is itself. The letter explaining this concern would have been fairly well recived by us except for the fact it contained the threat of penaties for arson, mentioning fines of up to $100,000 and years of imprisonment!! Really, happy 10 yrs to you both! When I looked back on the experience I realised that the first impression I recived with the phone call from our 'host' which was patronising to say the least, was just the begining of feeling like we had been wecomed to somone's place only to then be continuously reminded what an inconvinience we were being!read moreread lessSherene N29-11-2014Never wanted to leave Just returned from a wonderful three night stay at Wild Edge Retreat. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by Emma who helped us with our luggage and showed us to our pavilion, Earth Song. Wow, what a treat for the senses! Cosy fire, tea light and aromatherapy candles and soft music. The pavilion was immaculate and equipped with everything needed to self cater. We enjoyed the vast array of breakfast provisions that were so tasty..obviously fresh and locally sourced..oh, and thankyou for the bottle of bubbly and the birthday cake- a lovely touch. We loved Earth Song with its lovely big balcony- perfect to capture the winter sun and glorious sunsets. The property is so peaceful, it becomes very easy to connect with nature. Tranqility is important to us and we really appreciate the fact that Emma and Mick make a point of not carrying out any noisy maintenance whilst guests are on the property. For us,this is pure gold. - Tranquility! Relaxing! Perfect! Clean! Amazing! We were booked for three nights at another tourist retreat in the Hunter, but after two nights we couldn't face a third. We were driving through Wollombi when we saw the Wild Edge Retreat sign and decided to drive up the road to see if they had availability. Fortunately there was one Pavilion available. We were immediately impressed by the tranquility on arrival and the outstanding service. Considering ours was a last minute booking, everything was well above our expectation. My husband and I have looked high and low for the best long weekend destinations and tested out many in various countries, and we’ve stopped looking. This is it! This is probably the most impeccably appointed accommodation we have ever stayed in. We had an indoor spa that had bifolds on to the deck, which would be fabulous in winter too with the wood fire, but since we had lovely hot weather we made the most of the heated plunge pool and amazing balinese style day bed. Breakfast provisions are supplied like eggs, bacon, sausages, mushrooms, tomatoes to cook yourselves as well as cereals, bread & yoghurt etc. The hosts respect your privacy and only attend to you if you request them to. The mobile signal is patchy so they provide free wifi and there is a landline for calls. The bed & pillows were comfortable and beach towels provided. - The perfect place for a honeymoon retreat This place was more then amazing, it was perfect. After a stressful yet exhilarating wedding, we were ready for a few days away from people and phones. As we drove up from Sydney, it bucketed down rain and we thought of ditching the whole idea for something closer to warms shops and restaurants. Thank goodness we didn’t. We were greeted with spectacular warmth from the caretaker which, can I say, was one of the kindest, most generous people I’ve met. Not a thing was too much for him. This is an amazing and very special place set in the remoteness of the Australian bush but with all the luxury and conveniences of a five star resort. It does not have room service nor 5 star dining but this is not needed.
