Our log fires are stacked and ready for use from early May until the October long weekend. These times may vary depending on the weather.

Each Pavilion has a Nespresso Crestia automatic coffee machine with a supply of capsules. A selection of Twinings teas are also included.

Privacy is paramount. Our Pavilions are spaced apart for seclusion, with screened pools/decks and no passing traffic, you can hear yourself think!

Perfect Honeymoon I am not sure where to start with my review!! This place is simply amazing!! We booked online and when Emma contacted us by phone I asked a few questions and told her we were staying here for a little honeymoon! We arrived 2 days after our wedding and were greeted by Emma in the golf cart to collect our belongings to take us to our pavilion, The Wind Spirit!! First little personal detail I noticed was the "Just Married" sign on the back of the cart!! When we arrived at the pavilion, when we opened the door the aircon was on the room smelt amazing! We were greeted with a bottle of champagne and a personal note from Emma and Mick which I have kept for my wedding box and again some "Just married" signs in our room!! Our pavilion was incredibly clean! It had the feeling that we had been the first to stay there (which were obviously not) which in my opinion is the level of cleanliness you want! I had read the emails when we booked and all the info on the website and when I jumped online and read some reviews it is very clearly noted 1. The driveway can be rough! It was actually not as bad as I was expecting and noticed that it was better in some parts then the tar on the main roads! 2. Get your groceries on the way out because it is not a resort! We did drop into Cessnock on the way and grabbed some supplies, although we did go out almost everyday and have a look around but if you don't want to have to leave, it is very obvious to grab it on the way! We were on our way out one morning to go for a little drive and grab some breakfast when we ran into Mick he suggested a little cafe in Laguna!! It was perfect, thanks Mick!! The pavilion has everything you need and more! It has all top of the range appliances! We got the seafood platter and I cannot recommend it more! It was some of the best seafood I have ever had! It was so fresh! It was the perfect honeymoon waking up to the birds every morning! We stayed 4 nights, 5 days! The pool, the spa, the robes and the movies in bed! It couldn't have been better! My wife and i stayed in the wind spirit for 3 nights over the october long weekend for our second wedding anniversay and from the moment the gates swung open at Wild Edge we were overwelmed with the stunning beauty of the property. Emma came to greet us and she is so friendly and welcoming and helped us with all our luggage and made our arrival feel very special.The wind spirit pavillion far exceeded our expectations and Emma had candles lit, the air con on, and nice soft music playing, it was all these little extras that were so appreciated by us. The pavillion was immaculately clean and everything we could have wanted was catered for, the pool was freshly vaccumed and the day bed very comphy. Breakfast was suuplied each day and topped up by Emma each afternoon with whatever we wanted and on the Saturday Emma even baked us some brownies, do yourself a favou and do not leave wild edge until youve tasted Emmas brownies, best ever !!!!. These were met and well exceeded. I could describe in detail the welcoming by Andrew, the feeling of complete relaxation as we were escorted to our pavilion, the overwhelming joy as we entered Wind Spirit, that can only be described as paradise ( yes there were tears), and the feelings of complete peace and togetherness that we felt the whole time we were at Wild Edge. Booking online was fast and efficient. I had a little query re laundry, sent a message via their website and promptly got a response via email. Apart from the confirmation email received upon booking, there is another email that was sent a week prior to our stay containing all pertinent information including driving instructions. A portion of the road leading up to the retreat location was unsealed. Thus, the drive up there was quite rough and uncomfortable. Nothing unexpected as this was clearly noted on the email. But upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Emma, we heard the chirping of the birds and saw how beautiful the place is, so we thought it was all worth it. Our pavilion (Earth Song) was well-stocked and is extremely clean. We were greeted with some lovely tealight candles, a sweet little birthday cake for my husband, a personalized welcome letter with a beautiful relaxing music on the background. The breakfast provisions were extremely generous (see photos) and we loved the little snacks provided as well that went perfectly with our coffee/tea. My personal favourite was the Citrus Press! I love my OJ freshly squeezed for me for breakfast! The picturesque view from the deck accompanied with the soft chirping of the birds was just the lovely break that we needed from our usual daily routine. We loved soaking ourselves in the warm pool and how we ended our day with a nice warm spa bath. Overall, I think it’s the little personal touches all throughout our stay that made this one particularly stood out from all the rest we’ve had before. From Emma personally greeting us when we arrived helping us with our stuff, the personalized letter, the little cake, setting the mood in the room (candles, music) for when we arrive, the little notes reminding us to just call when we need anything or extra provision, up to the recommendations on where to stop on the way back home! I cannot thank you enough Emma & Mick for helping me make this staycation a truly special and memorable one for my husband! We just cannot wait to be back! TIPS: - Albeit breakfast provisions were extremely generous, bring enough food & bev items that’ll last for the duration of your stay as there are no shops within walking distance to the retreat. The nearest grocery as per the pre-stay email is 35mins drive from there. - There is no laundry facility onsite so it’s helpful to bring a laundry bag for used clothes - No need to bring anything to fully enjoy the spa bath. I actually bought a lush bubble bar but apparently, I can’t use it there. - Utter bliss and best sleep ever What a treat - If you're looking for a premium stay in the hunter that will leave you wanting more, then this is the place for you. We stayed for one night only in Wispering Forest over the Easter break. Firstly it was great to find a place that tool bookings for 1 night only during Easter - that's actually how we found it, by filtering on Wot If. Not the cheapest place available in the hunter, but what a difference from all the other options. This place is no hotel. There are no communal areas, and you don't even have to share your view with anyone else! Uninterrupted bliss. When we arrived in the afternoon we were warmly welcomed by the owner, who have us a very nice introduction to Wild Edge and our Spa Pavillion. The balance was just right - enough information to enable us to enjoy our stay, without it being overpowering or intrusive in any way. Very friendly and personable. From then we were left to our own devices to enjoy the tranquility. The Pavillion was extremely well appointed - it looked like it had been recently renovated. The bed was so comfortable - best night's sleep we've had in ages! The breakfast provisions were excellent - everything we needed to set ourselves up for the day. The road leading up to Wild Edge is a dirt road, quite steep in places, although we were in a VW Golf with 2 bikes on the roof and had no problems whatsoever. We spent two nights for our wedding anniversary. Spacious, immaculately clean and tastefully decorated with nice touches of attention to detail. Enormous deck. Even the drive up to the lodge adds to the enjoyment as you wind up the unsealed road to the top, making it feel even more remote, yet you are just a few minutes drive to everything you need in the cute town of Wollombi. If you drive from Sydney, taking the exit at Peats Ridge is a joy to drive, though lovely winding roads and beautiful countryside. We took our mountain bikes and enjoyed the ride which there are many places to go. Host Alan and Andrew were warm and friendly and very helpful. - First Class, absolute luxury in paradise My husband and I came to Wild Edge for 2 nights after our wedding to relax and reflect on the busy week we had. I had always dreamt of visiting Wild Edge and finally found the perfect reason to visit. Alan and Andrew are the perfect hosts, so warm, welcoming and friendly, and we loved meeting Ruby. We arrived off the main road up a dirt road wondering where we were going in the bush land to be greeted by a secluded paradise. Upon check in we were informed of the DVDs available to borrow and we were whisked away via golf cart to our home Earth Song. The doors were opened and my jaw dropped, the pavilion we stayed in was breathtaking, it was so cosy and warm feeling with lovely touches of candles lit and relaxing music. We were provided with a tour of the facilities and advised the BBQ dinner package would be brought over at 6pm. We also ordered a cheese platter, it was presented perfectly and lasted our entire stay. Every attention to detail was to first class presentation, with the towels having a branch from the garden, a complimentary bottle of local champagne, to warm crusty bread, balsamic and olive, and chocolates served with our BBQ platter. The breakfast provisions were more than substantial for our stay. The boys have thought of everything! The pavilion was immaculate with not one ounce of dust or dirt. We had a super relaxing time and enjoyed the peace, tranquility and luxury just soaking up the stunning views and sunsets. The bathroom was AMAZING with the sunken spa bath and large rainhead shower, we sat watching the sunset for hours. You have a fabulous business, and we can't wait to come back and try another pavilion, perhaps in the winter time to enjoy the fireplace! You won't want to leave when you get here!! - Amazing place to unwind. My partner and I spent a week at Wild Edge Retreat in the 'natures mist pavilion'. It was magical walking into the pavillion seeing it in immaculate condition, a beautiful insense was burning and to beautifully calm music welcomed our arrival. We had arrived in paradise. The room has a beautiful view and a comfy bed. The pool was great for the hot weather and taking a break from swimming whilst reading a book on the day bed was very relaxing. - Sensational in every way! Stayed at Wild Edge Retreat over Easter and it was the most amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, every single element of our stay was 5 star. From the welcome and buggy transfer, the quick overview of all the facilities in our Pavlion, the outdoor sun deck and pool, the bose sound system, the cleanliness, etc. etc. I could not speak highly enough of the owners or the resort itself. We opted for some additional extras with the candle packes (for a special occasion), couples massage and helicopter tour to Hunter, which were all fantastic in their own way. However, just staying and relaxing at the resort is pure bliss in itself. It's quiet, peaceful and very romatic with the two person spa, outdoor pool and breathtaking views. The pictures of WIld Edge look amazing but none of them can capture how wonderful it is in reality. A truly magical weekend. It was so lovely, we didn't leave the entire time. We were initially welcomed by Andrew and taken to the accommodation via golf buggy - a fantastic idea to avoid carrying your luggage! The property is really well presented and it is obvious the owners genuinely love what they do. We were given an intro to the pavilion by Andrew as well which was very much appreciated. We have not received this level of personal service anywhere else around the hunter so in this regard wild edge is unique and well above the competition. Old fashioned hospitality you could say! The views and sunsets were amazing. We were very impressed with the attention to detail with the cleanliness both inside and outside the pavilion. The pavilion is decorated beautifully and has everything you will need. Breakfast provisions were good and we had a couple of BBQ's on the deck overlooking a great view. It was a nice surprise to be taken back to the car via buggy again upon departure where we got to meet their lovely doberman as well. We would 100% recommend wild edge retreat to any couple wanting a luxurious getaway, even those with very high expectations. We stayed in Whispering Forest the closest to reception and car parking. The owner Emma, received us late after sun down. We were picked up from our car in a buggy then driven to our pavilion, she even helped with our luggage! The pavilion itself is amazing. Extremely clean, beautiful decor. There were candles and rose petals on arrival. There was a beautiful smell burning from the oil burner and the fire was lit and cosy. It was perfect. The bathroom is extremely modern, duel sinks and a huge two person spa. The tea bag for the spa was lovely and didn't affect my skin (dermatology) opening the bifold windows with the bubbles on was bliss. The shampoo and conditioner smell beautiful and everything is organic. Little luxuries like foxtel and the Bose sound system were great. Easy to use fire with a ton of wood. Comfy lounge and chaise, warm robes, slippers and my favourite rugs. The bed is a little firm for me but loved the goose pillows and doona. The kitchen had the perfect amount of cutlery, dishes. Great quality. Dish washer included! Loved the coffee machine, Tim tams and selection of cereals. Not to mention the fresh oj maker. The serenity from the deck was beautiful, quiet and calming. The day bed is comfy but we didn't stay out too much as it is winter and the sun moves of the deck early. There is a ironing board, torch and a pair of binoculars. - A weekend to remember We have just stayed in Nature's Mist for our Anniversary. It was everything we had hoped for and took full advantage of the peace, tranquility and magic view over the Wollombi valley below. As we have visited and stayed in the Wollombi area a few times before, we wanted to just chill out and make the most of the surroundings. We bought enough with us to be self sufficient for the weekend without a need to travel back down the hill. It was having our own private pool which attracted us to Wild Edge this time as we had been in the area in March previously and know how hot it can be. The joy to wake up on both mornings to the song of the bell birds and mist in the valley below made it very memorable. This along with the other abundant bird life welcoming the day was beautiful. I just wish I had remembered my Bird book (maybe something that can be added to each pavilion) Andrew and Alan must be commended for the passion they have for their retreat and the presentation of our pavilion. The place was immaculate and had everything we needed. We took a quiet stroll around the grounds to find out which of the pavilions had the best perspective for the different times of year as we would like to go back in the colder months to make the most of the fire place. The approach road is well rough in places. Once you are here IT IS WORTH IT! The Pavillion has all you need and more. The fact the sound system is Bose says it all. Whatever there is in and around the Pavillion is QUALITY - a Dyson hairdryer, Molton Brown bath amenities. The view is to die for. The privacy is total. Emma received us and showed us to our pavillion with the skills of Sabine Schmitz around the Nurburgring as she gracefully drove the three foot wide golf buggy along the elevated three foot two inch wide wooden walkway. This is not a place with a WOW factor. It is a place with a WOW factor around every corner. You must bring your own food as there is no local convenience. The hosts were so welcoming and friendly! The attention to detail in our wind spirit pavilion was phenomenal! We arrived to out candle lit pavilion, we soft music and the most amazing view! The bed was super comfy and it has a lounge area that overlooks the stunning view. A lovely kitchen too. The deck outside has lounge beds and a barbecue and the most amazing infinity edge pool. Not to mention the king size day bed oh my god! The first night we had the romance package so we went out to the local pub for an he and when we returned it's was ahhhhmazing! So many candles oh goodness it was beautiful. Rose petals on the bed! Soft music and we had arranged the seafood package for dinner, it was Devine all set up beautifully! The following morning we had the breakfast provided. all the breakfast goodies we cooked were supplied and it was yum. That day we lazed around by the pool and for lunch had the ploughman's package. Lovely local cheeses cold meats and breads and salads yum. Then for dinner yes more food we had the BBQ package so it included meats salads breads etc the meat was soooo tender it was amazing. Following morning we still had enough supplies for breakfast. - Hideaway in the hills I just spent a lovely weekend for my 30th birthday at Wild Edge Retreat with my husband. We stayed in the Nature's Mist pavillion, which overlooked the beautiful valley. We found we brought things along that we didn't need (frypan, utensils, etc). Don't bother, they have it all covered. I found Wild Edge Retreat for our Easter Stay and it was the most relaxing experience we could have hoped for. Hampers ordered (BBQ, Ploughmans & Cheese) gave us ample food as well as the included Breakfast Hamper. We loved every minute of being surrounded by nature in this lovely Pavilion.
