Our Foxtel System has 1,000 movies, including new releases, and 4,000+ TV episodes OnDemand. Casting from your personal device is also available.
Fresh Linens Supplied
Fresh linens including sheets, towels and pool towels are provided for your stay. Our Guest linens & towels are professionally laundered after each stay.

Each Pavilion has a fully equipped kitchenette with a ceramic cooktop, microwave oven, full-size fridge, electric frypan, juicer, toaster and dishwasher.
Log Fires (seasonal)
Our log fires are stacked and ready for use from early May until the October long weekend. These times may vary depending on the weather.
Nespresso and Twinings
All Pavilions have a Nespresso Creatista automatic coffee machine with a supply of capsules. A selection of Twinings teas are also provided.

Privacy is paramount. Our Pavilions are spaced apart for seclusion, with screened pools/decks and no passing traffic, you can hear yourself think!

Each of our Pavilions has their own private Plunge Pool. Complete with deck screens, so no swimming costume required! Perfect for a skinny dip!

The only thing to watch out for is that mobile phone reception is poor at Wild Edge (Telstra was ok; no signal for Vodafone) although pavilions have a landline phone. - Just beautiful in every way I took my husband here for a couple of nights to celebrate his 40th birthday. We stayed in the Wind Spirit pavilion and it was just perfect. I want to find something unique to write about the place as ordinary words don't seem to do it justice. The scenery is just astounding and the pavilion is pure luxury. We would have happily stayed there for the entire weekend - and yet there was the whole Hunter Valley to explore. If you are undecided, don't be. - Words can not describe! Seven letters to describe..P E R F E C T. Such a majestical adventure up into the mountains of Wollombi, once we arrived we were privately chaffered to our pavilion...Earth Song. We found ourselves sitting in the spa looking out to the amazing views whilst we sipped on a local champagne delivered by Emma herself! It was so lovely, we didn't leave the entire time. We were initially welcomed by Andrew and taken to the accommodation via golf buggy - a fantastic idea to avoid carrying your luggage! The property is really well presented and it is obvious the owners genuinely love what they do. We were given an intro to the pavilion by Andrew as well which was very much appreciated. We have not received this level of personal service anywhere else around the hunter so in this regard wild edge is unique and well above the competition. Old fashioned hospitality you could say! The views and sunsets were amazing. We were very impressed with the attention to detail with the cleanliness both inside and outside the pavilion. The pavilion is decorated beautifully and has everything you will need. Breakfast provisions were good and we had a couple of BBQ's on the deck overlooking a great view. It was a nice surprise to be taken back to the car via buggy again upon departure where we got to meet their lovely doberman as well. We would 100% recommend wild edge retreat to any couple wanting a luxurious getaway, even those with very high expectations. - Immaculate, relaxing & private My husband & I stayed in Natures Mist Pavilion in March 2016 for two nights. This is probably the most impeccably appointed accommodation we have ever stayed in. The decor is beautiful and it's spotlessly clean, not even a trace of past careless guests which is often seen in most luxury accommodation. The hosts have thought of every detail you will require for a self contained, romantic & secluded mini break. We had an indoor spa that had bifolds on to the deck, which would be fabulous in winter too with the wood fire, but since we had lovely hot weather we made the most of the heated plunge pool and amazing balinese style day bed. Breakfast provisions are supplied like eggs, bacon, sausages, mushrooms, tomatoes to cook yourselves as well as cereals, bread & yoghurt etc. The hosts respect your privacy and only attend to you if you request them to. The mobile signal is patchy so they provide free wifi and there is a landline for calls. The bed & pillows were comfortable and beach towels provided. - AMAZING.... So we went there over New Years 2014 break.... What can I say - Amazing. The trip started off with a pleasant intercom greeting at the security gate. When the gate opened up it was a moment of 'This is heaven'. Walking to the reception through the lush surroundings is nothing short of 'top notch'. We were explained and shown everything from the free DVDs to the house-keeping requirements. We were escorted back to our car where we were taken on the golf-cart to our Vila. Well let me say that the short ride on the cart through the bush was so relaxing and tranquil. On arriving at our Vila we opened it to the pre-air conditioned temperature with lit candles and soothing music throughout. Alan showed us the complimentary breakfast which had been pre-placed in the fridge. The Vila was absolutely stunning. We stayed in the Wind Spirit, which had our own private infinity edge pool over looking the Hinter Valley. The view was nothing but 'post-card' worthy (but even then the pictures would not do it justice). We spent the following few days relaxing without any interruptions from the huddle-bustle of the city life. We felt like we were on a secluded island. I could go on and on praising this place and even this would be enough. I have recommended this place to everyone that I have spoken to since our stay. We intend on staying there in winter to use the fireplace and heated pool. This place is one of the best we have ever stayed in EVER. - My wife and i stayed in the wind spirit for 3 nights over the october long weekend for our second wedding anniversay and from the moment the gates swung open at Wild Edge we were overwelmed with the stunning beauty of the property. Emma came to greet us and she is so friendly and welcoming and helped us with all our luggage and made our arrival feel very special.The wind spirit pavillion far exceeded our expectations and Emma had candles lit, the air con on, and nice soft music playing, it was all these little extras that were so appreciated by us. From the welcome and buggy transfer, the quick overview of all the facilities in our Pavlion, the outdoor sun deck and pool, the bose sound system, the cleanliness, etc. etc. I could not speak highly enough of the owners or the resort itself. We opted for some additional extras with the candle packes (for a special occasion), couples massage and helicopter tour to Hunter, which were all fantastic in their own way. - Your own 5 star cottage in the remote bush. Views of rolling hills with no civilisation in sight. Excellent quality furnishings, good kitchen, beautiful deck with day-bed, ok WIFI. - For our first weekend away without the kids in many many years, we couldn't have experienced a more pleasant and relaxing place to unwind. The stress started to disappear after arriving at the gate and being met by our amazing host Emma, who went out of her way to make us feel welcome. - Couples Get Away From the moment we booked our stay at Wild Edge we knew this was going to be a very special experience. Emma contacted me to make to go over all the arrangements and nothing was a problem. We arrived at the front gates and we were greeted by Tamara who helped us with our luggage and drove us to our pavilion on their golf cart. We booked Natures Mist , all I can say is the pictures do not do it justice it was amazing. Every small and thoughtful detail had been provided the views were breathtaking. We had a massages booked for Saturday morning absolutely perfect and the location just made it .. The day bed and plunge pool just created this sense of your own piece of paradise. Amazing secluded getaway We had such a relaxing time at Wild Edge Retreat and we wouldn't hesitate to book again. It is tucked away just past Wollombi if coming from Sydney. We were warmly greeted on arrival and driven to our accommodation by golf cart, we stayed in Wind Spirit. We were immediately excited by the setup, in particular a large bed in an open plan room, the spa bath with large fully opening windows, opening out on to your private balcony, and the private infinity pool and day bed. The kitchen was well stocked along with delicious breakfast supplies. Weather wise, were treated to drizzle, warm sunny weather, and a storm rolling in over the hills during our stay. We met the local wombat and went for a short walk around the complex. But mostly we relaxed! And it was so easy to do so. The lack of phone reception is a blessing, and the wifi was very reliable for when we really needed to connect to the real world again. My wife and I are already planning our next trip here, can't wait! I only have good things to say about this place. The warm greeting, the cleanliness and presentation of the pavilion and the wonderful view from the balcony all add up to a great stay. Everything is thought of here. The breakfast provisions were excellent and we had packed food for lunches and dinners and prepared quite a few great meals and found that everything we needed for cooking was provided in the kitchen. I loved relaxing in the spa with the windows open and candles lit and the pool was warm, but not too hot- great way to spend a couple of warm afternoons floating around in privacy (especially because I am very pregnant!). We stayed in ‘Nature’s Mist’ on this occasion and have previously stayed in the other pool villa. Both are lovely, and had everything we needed for a great long weekend. - Romantic hideaway I chose this beautiful place to spend my 50th with my very romantic husband. We only had two nights at Wild Edge Retreat but it was superb. We had perfect weather. We were able to sit out on the deck of the Nature's Mist pavilion till late and lazily work our way through our cheese platter, sipping delicious Hunter Valley wine. We had an amazing three nights at the idyllic Wild Edge Retreat. You are a part of nature in your totally self-sufficient Pavilion that is so well equipped, right down to the best bed we have ever slept in. The pool and outdoor shower in Whispering Forest were superb. All is topped off by the warmest welcome and personable nature of Emma and Mick who cater for your every care.
