Each Pavilion has a fully equipped kitchenette with a ceramic cooktop, microwave oven, full-size fridge, electric frypan, juicer, toaster and dishwasher.

Our log fires are stacked and ready for use from early May until the October long weekend. These times may vary depending on the weather.
Nespresso and Twinings
All Pavilions have a Nespresso Creatista automatic coffee machine with a supply of capsules. A selection of Twinings teas are also provided.

Privacy is paramount. Our Pavilions are spaced apart for seclusion, with screened pools/decks and no passing traffic, you can hear yourself think!

Magnificent We arrived just before 8pm, we walked along the boardwalk it was beautiful with different coloured lights in the wood work. Alan meet us at reception & drove us down to our villa, walking into the villa was breathtaking, candles lit, soft music & a beautiful smell wafting throughout the room. The rooms were clean & no expense was spared from the toiletries to the cooking equipment all top quality. The breakfast provions were plenty. We stayed in the wind spirit villa we didn't have to leave nor did we see anyone. The pool was excellent & the day bed was comfy laying there listing to music. We saw plenty of birds even a wombat! Spotlessly clean, excellent service, romantic, and couldn't ask for more. If you want a romantic breakaway, this is the place to go. Plunge pool, candles, bose sound system, sunken bath with opening bi-folds and lovely views. The host Alan was great and couldn't be more accommodating. It is quite isolated and a dirt road into the property on the last 2.5km, only 4 pavillions, but if you plan it, there is nothing else you need. We even organised a helicopter through Slattery Charters to take us on a wine tasting hop - so didnt use the car the two/three days we were there. Preordered food, and took a few bits and pieces of our own. Went out by day, and stayed in by late afternoon/night to soak up the atmosphere. We even organised a tandem massage which was done in our pavillion. - Never wanted to leave Just returned from a wonderful three night stay at Wild Edge Retreat. This place is immaculate and trust me, I’m a princess and wear my Tiara with pride. Everything is provided for your stay. The owners are welcoming then leave you alone to do your own thing. We only saw one other couple once when they walked past as they were departing. The spa is huge, the king bed is comfy, the sheets are clean, the lounge is new and not saggy, everything in the kitchen is supplied that you would need. the balcony equipped with day-bed, BBQ and outdoor eating area were of huge proportion to accompany the amazing view. Bring your own food as the local town does not have much to offer AND you won’t want to leave Wild Edge anyway! I cannot recommend this place enough. Outstanding Couples Retreat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Short, sharp and shiny..... One of the best places we have ever stayed..... The rooms are amazing with a great attention to detail in every aspect..... The Earth Song room had amazing views and offered everything we could have wanted for a quiet weekend away... Alan was a great host and very pleasant in every dealing we had with him. The only downside about the whole trip was my poor little sportscar got hammered heading up and down the dirt road trek leading to the retreat. Its mentioned as a dirt road but its more of a 4WD track... Not made for a sportscar with low profile tyres as the 30 minute trip back to the town ended up with a tyre blow out due to the dirt road condistions now costing me another $600 and a long wait on the side of the road while i learnt how to replace a tyre again 🙁 ... of course not their fault.... My wife and I have recently spent 5 glorious nights of our honeymoon at Wild Edge Retreat and wow, what a place!! I had called an hour out from arrival just to ensure that all was in order for my beautiful wife and the serious romancing which was about to get underway. It was 8pm in the evening and after a slow, seriously dark and dirty trek up the mountain (albeit that this should be expected in the country), we arrived through the gates only to be happily greeted by Alan. Our luggage was loaded aboard a golf buggy and we were then driven a short distance to our luxurious pavilion . Upon entering said pavilion, we were warmly welcomed to the prearranged candles which spread throughout the entire clean, romantic and warmly designed apartment. The apartment itself ( we stayed in Natures Mist) sits high above a valley, looking down over some distant farm land and cattle. There wasn't a person, car, sound or anything else that could have possibly distracted us from our relaxing and harmonious stay. It was total bliss. The bed was a total delight. The pillows were perfect with sheets and a quilt to match... I did however forget to take note and/or ask for the brand and type of pillows! Rookie error for a newlywed I suppose. The attention to detail throughout the place was amazing. We didn't need anything else as the kitchen was fully contained with all utensils and cooking equipment that we required. There was a bbq on the deck which was perfect for us to cook our meats that we bought locally. My wife and I also managed (thanks to great weather) to cook the scrumptious breakfast provisions (that were provided to us daily) on the bbq. The sausages are a must! With respect to the grounds, the staff have done a wonderful job. The gardens are filled with native flowers and plants and are on show via the boardwalks throughout. We managed to catch several cute little wombats getting about along with some possums and amazing birds. The retreat is about 20 mins from the Wollombi Wines vineyard and about 25 from Stonehurst. We had the pleasure of visiting both and there were some cracking wines on offer. In terms of "to do", it is a retreat after all so definitely don't be expecting anything outrageous or on the wilder side of things otherwise be prepared to be disappointed. My advice would be to ensure that you go with great company! Overall, we would say that this place is definitely special. It's exactly what we could have wanted and more, and for the reasonable price tag, it far surpasses most if not all of the high end hotels you would find in a major city. We will be back for sure! These were met and well exceeded. I could describe in detail the welcoming by Andrew, the feeling of complete relaxation as we were escorted to our pavilion, the overwhelming joy as we entered Wind Spirit, that can only be described as paradise ( yes there were tears), and the feelings of complete peace and togetherness that we felt the whole time we were at Wild Edge. However, words are not enough to begin to describe the most perfect honeymoon/vacation/retreat, you really need to experience it yourself. I am still overwhelmed as I recall our stay ,from the booking and arrangements, to the welcome, to the location, to the pristine condition of the pavilion, to the 6 star service, to the farewell by Alan. - Immaculate, relaxing & private My husband & I stayed in Natures Mist Pavilion in March 2016 for two nights. This is probably the most impeccably appointed accommodation we have ever stayed in. The decor is beautiful and it's spotlessly clean, not even a trace of past careless guests which is often seen in most luxury accommodation. The hosts have thought of every detail you will require for a self contained, romantic & secluded mini break. We had an indoor spa that had bifolds on to the deck, which would be fabulous in winter too with the wood fire, but since we had lovely hot weather we made the most of the heated plunge pool and amazing balinese style day bed. Breakfast provisions are supplied like eggs, bacon, sausages, mushrooms, tomatoes to cook yourselves as well as cereals, bread & yoghurt etc. The hosts respect your privacy and only attend to you if you request them to. The mobile signal is patchy so they provide free wifi and there is a landline for calls. The bed & pillows were comfortable and beach towels provided. - A weekend to remember We have just stayed in Nature's Mist for our Anniversary. It was everything we had hoped for and took full advantage of the peace, tranquility and magic view over the Wollombi valley below. As we have visited and stayed in the Wollombi area a few times before, we wanted to just chill out and make the most of the surroundings. We bought enough with us to be self sufficient for the weekend without a need to travel back down the hill. It was having our own private pool which attracted us to Wild Edge this time as we had been in the area in March previously and know how hot it can be. The joy to wake up on both mornings to the song of the bell birds and mist in the valley below made it very memorable. This along with the other abundant bird life welcoming the day was beautiful. I just wish I had remembered my Bird book (maybe something that can be added to each pavilion) Andrew and Alan must be commended for the passion they have for their retreat and the presentation of our pavilion. The place was immaculate and had everything we needed. We took a quiet stroll around the grounds to find out which of the pavilions had the best perspective for the different times of year as we would like to go back in the colder months to make the most of the fire place. You also have the option to purchase gourmet platters when booking your stay but we brought our own food and cooked it on the bbq.We were welcomed warmly and assisted by Emma, one of the owners with our bags on her golf cart which was extremely convenient! She is such a lovely lady and was very helpful.We stayed at our very own private pavilion ‘Wind Spirit’ where we spent most of our time outside on the deck, unwinding and relaxing in complete serenity.We also met the local Goanna named Go Go and a few beautiful birds visited us by the pool to cool down.The kitchen was equipped with everything! The fridge had our halal breakfast provision as requested, some water, juice, milk, butter and condiments. We brought some of our own water bottles and soft drinks to keep us going as well which was very ideal. We have not a single compliant about this beautiful tranquil oasis in the hunter! If you like luxurious with a breathtaking view of the valley this retreat will tick that box! 10 year wedding anniversary Firstly this place is beautiful, quiet and decorated really well. I dont really do reveiws often but always read them, however I've felt compelled to this time as I would have loved some warning myself. I can honestly say my husband and I have never felt more unwelcomed! When we arrived at reception our host immediatly started complaining about lack of water as they are on tank water, then moved onto difficult guests.When shown to our pavillion it got worse, each instruction on how to use or find things was followed by a story of what other guests had done leaving us with the impression that gests are the bain in there lives! Stories of people emptying and refilling the spa, turning the aircon on too low, lighting the fire in summer. On and on it went after just escaping three young children for the first time ever since having kids this was the last thing we needed! We managed to laugh it off however after he had left, unfortunately though the lack of tact continued the next afternoon. After going on a wine tour (Wollombi wine tours, recommend them) we return to find they had serviced the pavillion, something we were not expecting and perhaps a pleasant suprise untill we saw the letter on the table. Now I will admit we were smoking the night before somthing we do whilst trying to take ourselves back 9 years prior to kids, I had read on their website to put water in ash trays which we did do, we also lit citranella candels to ward off the mozzies. Our stay corresponded with a heat wave, so I do understand the bush fire concern as we live in amomgst the bush even more than the place is itself. The letter explaining this concern would have been fairly well recived by us except for the fact it contained the threat of penaties for arson, mentioning fines of up to $100,000 and years of imprisonment!! Really, happy 10 yrs to you both! - Amazing Couples Getaway We stayed at this wonderful retreat for our 20th Wedding Anniversary. We wanted a private luxurious cabin with tranquil surroundings and that is exactly what we got! As soon as we had parked our car, we were greeted by our lovely host Emma, who transported our luggage via electric cart to our accommodation. We entered our cabin to find a warm fireplace and pure ambience created by tea lights and soft music. Our cabin was immaculate and very well equipped with everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable and our cabin even included amazing breakfast provisions for the weekend. With only 4 private villas it is perfect for a couples getaway. Make sure you pack some food as you will not want to leave. We bought an esky with us with all the makings of a cheese platter and it was the perfect setting to sit on the deck and watch the sun set while sipping on wine and having a cheese platter. Breakfast was included and we cooked this is the fully equiped kitchen! Andrew was the perfect host so helpful. On the Saturday night we went to the hunter for dinner and on return my husband has organised candles, roses and champagne. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen!!! - Impeccable luxury! The most romantic weekend away my husband and I have ever had! The hosts were so welcoming and friendly! The attention to detail in our wind spirit pavilion was phenomenal! Emma & Mick are the most wonderful hosts for this spectacular hideaway. EVERYTHING has been thought of, the coffee machine, juicer, food, even your hair will look amazing with the Dyson hairdryer. Even with 5 solid days of rain, we have left feeling thoroughly spoilt & very relaxed.

From the moment we arrived it was magical!
The pavilion, Nature's Mist, was warm with the fire already started and candles lit was truly beautiful. We were blown away by the quality of every little thing. From the tea selection, to all the utensils and products in the kitchen. The cutting knives were sharp! That never happens in rented accommodation. The bathroom fit-out is spectacular. Every was amazing and clearly thoughtfully considered.

If you come expecting a typical style coastal resort, you will be disappointed. This is a private and secluded slice of heaven set in the Australian bush with all the amenities of a resort. Loved the privacy, swimming pool and time together in a wonderful place.
