Each Pavilion has a fully equipped kitchenette with a ceramic cooktop, microwave oven, full-size fridge, electric frypan, juicer, toaster and dishwasher.

Our log fires are stacked and ready for use from early May until the October long weekend. These times may vary depending on the weather.
Nespresso and Twinings
Each Pavilion has a Nespresso Crestia automatic coffee machine with a supply of capsules. A selection of Twinings teas are also included.

Privacy is paramount. Our Pavilions are spaced apart for seclusion, with screened pools/decks and no passing traffic, you can hear yourself think!

- So relaxing and private. Stayed here about five years ago in Wind Spirit and was thoroughly impressed by the location and quality furnishings and amazing infinity pool. My partner and I stayed in Natures Mist this time and were just as impressed if not more so! The location and atmosphere are amazing - totally private and relaxing. We were greeted with warmth and friendliness, and the stress of city life began to almost immediately melt away. No sooner had we parked when we were whisked away on a golf buggy to our pavilion by Emma. She assisted us with our luggage and proceeded to give us a tour of the pavilion. Candles were already aglow, and chill music was playing on the Bose stereo. The pavilion is well laid out and beautifully appointed, and the little details made this a very special place to stay. The breakfast provisions were great and even to the point where oranges were supplied so we could make fresh orange juice each morning using the electric juicer provided. The Nespresso machine was also a nice touch. The pool was amazing, and each afternoon, some of the wildlife would come and say hi. The deck is a beautiful spot to have breakfast, and afternoon wine and cheese with a beautiful view. We had decided to stay put for the entire weekend, even though the Hunter Valley wineries aren't too far away. We self catered our lunch and dinners, and the BBQ made this easy. We could not believe how tranquil this place was. The block out blinds made a sleep in easy. One morning of our stay, we had a dual in-house massage on the deck - being able to open the doors to the deck to allow fresh air and chill music to flow was great. Upon departure, Tamara came to collect us with the buggy and she was also very friendly. This is certainly one of the best places we have stayed and have already recommended it to friends. - Second to None Wind Song Pavillion, March 2013. Spotlessly clean, excellent service, romantic, and couldn't ask for more. If you want a romantic breakaway, this is the place to go. Plunge pool, candles, bose sound system, sunken bath with opening bi-folds and lovely views. The host Alan was great and couldn't be more accommodating. It is quite isolated and a dirt road into the property on the last 2.5km, only 4 pavillions, but if you plan it, there is nothing else you need. We even organised a helicopter through Slattery Charters to take us on a wine tasting hop - so didnt use the car the two/three days we were there. Preordered food, and took a few bits and pieces of our own. Went out by day, and stayed in by late afternoon/night to soak up the atmosphere. We even organised a tandem massage which was done in our pavillion. - secluded Our luggage was loaded aboard a golf buggy and we were then driven a short distance to our luxurious pavilion. Upon entering the pavilion, we were warmly welcomed to the prearranged candles which spread throughout the entire clean, romantic and warmly designed pavilion. We had a warm and inviting welcome from our host. Alan showed us the complimentary breakfast which had been pre-placed in the fridge. The service was warm and welcoming on arrival and once we checked in it felt like we were the only two people there, it’s a place where you really do nothing if you want but watch the world go by. We stayed in the WIND SPIRIT PAVILION with the infinity pool. The pavilions are private, large, comfortable, elegant and beautifully appointed. They have a fully equipped kitchen and fridge. A large terrace with outdoor bed and bbq runs the length of the pavilion and has panoramic views across the valley. If you want a luxurious, romantic, peaceful, secluded getaway then this is the place for you! With only 4 Pavilions on site what more can you ask for. From our arrival to our departure - it was nothing but perfection. We had our own infinity pool which was fantastic great size, overlooking the valley. The views were magic I could not stop taking pictures. I could go on & on but I suggest you see it for yourself... - SIMPLY STUNNING!! I have had my eye on this retreat for a while now and finally got to experience it for my boyfriend and my 5 year anniversary. It doesn't get any more beautiful and romantic than this place!!! From the moment we got there we were greeted by the host Alan, who was an absolute pleasure to deal with and makes you feel right at home the moment you arrive. The retreat itself is just spectacular with beautiful views and as soon as you enter the gate of the retreat it is like entering a completely different world of relaxation and tranquility. The pavilion itself was absolutely INCREDIBLE that you don't want to leave (I was speechless when I first walked in). It is so beautifully furnished with flawless finishes and attention to detail. Everything was pure perfection from the beautiful views from the pavillion and bathroom, the bedding, the outdoor relaxation area and the lovely breakfast treats that are provided. Every single last, tiny detail has been carefully thought of and taken care of by the owner of the retreat. The pavilion was so unbelievably clean and even on arrival we were greeted with soothing music and beautiful smells because of the burning oils. We stayed in the Nature's Mist pavilion with a private pool overlooking nothing but green bushland which just captivates you for hours. There's too much to say and all good - we were greeted with warm smiles, given a brief yet informative tour and made to feel right at home, right away. The room was spacious and spotless, and although it opened right up to the mountains beyond, it still had an overwhelming sense of being both private and cosy. The log fire burned for almost our entire stay and kept us warm well into the night. Between the kitchen and the BBQ on our private deck we were able to enjoy most of our time at the retreat, only driving out for a short day trip to some of the local vineyards. My only complaint was that our time at Wild Edge was nowhere near long enough. - If only it were forever Just recently home from our fantastic weekend at Wild Edge. From the moment we had put through our initial enquiry to Alan to the moment we were leaving the whole experience has been absolutely fantastic. - Spectacular! Before even leaving for Wild Edge we were so impressed with the service provide with a lovely call from Alan wishing us a safe journey. Alan is such a nice person and his hospitality was so welcoming and really is what makes Wild Edge perfect. He gave us a tour around our room (natures mist) and attention to detail was wonderful. - A wonderful time of refreshing! Hubby and I have just returned this week from the most wonderful few days at Wild Edge Retreat at Wollombi. This is the best place to celebrate a romantic Wedding Anniversary or that special occasion. It is so peaceful, so private, so thoroughly clean, so comfortable … and takes your breath away with its most amazing views. The food provided for breakfast is so ample in its portions that we also used some of it for an evening meal. All the internal features are high end (such as the Dyson hair dryer etc), but the views are what make it such a wonderful place to just come and relax! I love the scenic drive here - it’s such a beautiful part of the country and not far from Sydney. The hostess Emma was so welcoming, and although all 4 Pavilions were booked during our stay, we never saw another person, such is the clever design and layout of the property. Just the sounds of nature and wildlife … and the most amazing view of the brilliant stars at night! I also loved the fact that each pavilion has its own private swimming pool. And I also love the fact that it is a large property that is gated, so even though we had the privacy of feeling we were the only ones here, it was comforting to know that although we were way out in the bush, someone else was on the property should there ever be a need. And the extremely high standard of cleanliness and sanitisation was also very reassuring at this time in history of Covid concerns. We stayed in Whispering Forest the closest to reception and car parking. The owner Emma, received us late after sun down. We were picked up from our car in a buggy then driven to our pavilion, she even helped with our luggage! The pavilion itself is amazing. Extremely clean, beautiful decor. There were candles and rose petals on arrival. There was a beautiful smell burning from the oil burner and the fire was lit and cosy. It was perfect. The bathroom is extremely modern, duel sinks and a huge two person spa. The tea bag for the spa was lovely and didn't affect my skin (dermatology) opening the bifold windows with the bubbles on was bliss. The shampoo and conditioner smell beautiful and everything is organic. Little luxuries like foxtel and the Bose sound system were great. Easy to use fire with a ton of wood. Comfy lounge and chaise, warm robes, slippers and my favourite rugs. The bed is a little firm for me but loved the goose pillows and doona. The kitchen had the perfect amount of cutlery, dishes. Great quality. Dish washer included! Loved the coffee machine, Tim tams and selection of cereals. Not to mention the fresh oj maker. The serenity from the deck was beautiful, quiet and calming. The day bed is comfy but we didn't stay out too much as it is winter and the sun moves of the deck early. There is a ironing board, torch and a pair of binoculars. Wild edge were so helpful, they made him a birthday cake, allowed me to get balloons delivered, then they personally delivered them to our room and even sang him happy birthday! What can I say - my partner surprised me on a weekend away - I had no idea where I was going and we ended up in the Hunter Valley and then a couple of nights at the Wild Edge Retreat. - Utter bliss and best sleep ever What a treat - If you're looking for a premium stay in the hunter that will leave you wanting more, then this is the place for you. We stayed for one night only in Wispering Forest over the Easter break. Firstly it was great to find a place that tool bookings for 1 night only during Easter - that's actually how we found it, by filtering on Wot If. Not the cheapest place available in the hunter, but what a difference from all the other options. This place is no hotel. There are no communal areas, and you don't even have to share your view with anyone else! Uninterrupted bliss. When we arrived in the afternoon we were warmly welcomed by the owner, who have us a very nice introduction to Wild Edge and our Spa Pavillion. The balance was just right - enough information to enable us to enjoy our stay, without it being overpowering or intrusive in any way. Very friendly and personable. From then we were left to our own devices to enjoy the tranquility. The Pavillion was extremely well appointed - it looked like it had been recently renovated. The bed was so comfortable - best night's sleep we've had in ages! The breakfast provisions were excellent - everything we needed to set ourselves up for the day. The road leading up to Wild Edge is a dirt road, quite steep in places, although we were in a VW Golf with 2 bikes on the roof and had no problems whatsoever. 10 year wedding anniversary Firstly this place is beautiful, quiet and decorated really well. I dont really do reveiws often but always read them, however I've felt compelled to this time as I would have loved some warning myself. I can honestly say my husband and I have never felt more unwelcomed! When we arrived at reception our host immediatly started complaining about lack of water as they are on tank water, then moved onto difficult guests.When shown to our pavillion it got worse, each instruction on how to use or find things was followed by a story of what other guests had done leaving us with the impression that gests are the bain in there lives! Stories of people emptying and refilling the spa, turning the aircon on too low, lighting the fire in summer. On and on it went after just escaping three young children for the first time ever since having kids this was the last thing we needed! We managed to laugh it off however after he had left, unfortunately though the lack of tact continued the next afternoon. After going on a wine tour (Wollombi wine tours, recommend them) we return to find they had serviced the pavillion, something we were not expecting and perhaps a pleasant suprise untill we saw the letter on the table. Now I will admit we were smoking the night before somthing we do whilst trying to take ourselves back 9 years prior to kids, I had read on their website to put water in ash trays which we did do, we also lit citranella candels to ward off the mozzies. Our stay corresponded with a heat wave, so I do understand the bush fire concern as we live in amomgst the bush even more than the place is itself. The letter explaining this concern would have been fairly well recived by us except for the fact it contained the threat of penaties for arson, mentioning fines of up to $100,000 and years of imprisonment!! Really, happy 10 yrs to you both! I had a little query re laundry, sent a message via their website and promptly got a response via email. Apart from the confirmation email received upon booking, there is another email that was sent a week prior to our stay containing all pertinent information including driving instructions.A portion of the road leading up to the retreat location was unsealed. Thus, the drive up there was quite rough and uncomfortable. Nothing unexpected as this was clearly noted on the email. But upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Emma, we heard the chirping of the birds and saw how beautiful the place is, so we thought it was all worth it.Our pavilion (Earth Song) was well-stocked and is extremely clean. We were greeted with some lovely tealight candles, a sweet little birthday cake for my husband, a personalized welcome letter with a beautiful relaxing music on the background. The breakfast provisions were extremely generous (see photos) and we loved the little snacks provided as well that went perfectly with our coffee/tea. My personal favorite was the Citrus Press! I love my OJ freshly squeezed for me for breakfast!The picturesque view from the deck accompanied with the soft chirping of the birds was just the lovely break that we needed from our usual daily routine. We loved soaking ourselves in the warm pool and how we ended our day with a nice warm spa bath.Overall, I think it’s the little personal touches all throughout our stay that made this one particularly stood out from all the rest we’ve had before.
