Each Pavilion has a fully equipped kitchenette with a ceramic cooktop, microwave oven, full-size fridge, electric frypan, juicer, toaster and dishwasher.

Our log fires are stacked and ready for use from early May until the October long weekend. These times may vary depending on the weather.
Nespresso and Twinings
All Pavilions have a Nespresso Creatista automatic coffee machine with a supply of capsules. A selection of Twinings teas are also provided.

Privacy is paramount. Our Pavilions are spaced apart for seclusion, with screened pools/decks and no passing traffic, you can hear yourself think!

Never wanted to leave Just returned from a wonderful three night stay at Wild Edge Retreat. This place is immaculate and trust me, I’m a princess and wear my Tiara with pride. Everything is provided for your stay. The owners are welcoming then leave you alone to do your own thing. We only saw one other couple once when they walked past as they were departing. The spa is huge, the king bed is comfy, the sheets are clean, the lounge is new and not saggy, everything in the kitchen is supplied that you would need. the balcony equipped with day-bed, BBQ and outdoor eating area were of huge proportion to accompany the amazing view. Bring your own food as the local town does not have much to offer AND you won’t want to leave Wild Edge anyway! I cannot recommend this place enough. The approach road is well rough in places. Once you are here IT IS WORTH IT! The Pavillion has all you need and more. The fact the sound system is Bose says it all. Emma received us and showed us to our pavillion with the skills of Sabine Schmitz around the Nurburgring as she gracefully drove the three foot wide golf buggy along the elevated three foot two inch wide wooden walkway. This is not a place with a WOW factor. It is a place with a WOW factor around every corner. You must bring your own food as there is no local convenience. What an incredible experience. It's a selcuded retreat hidden away on the top of a mountain with only 4 Pavilions. Your only 40 minutes away from the Pokolbin/Hunter Wineries but it feels like you are miles from nowhere. The Hosts are fantastic, Alan was most welcoming and very helpful. They had the candles lit and the fire ready to go on our arrival and the place smelt wonderful. We stayed in the Whispering Forest Pavilion which was well presented, so clean and included a wood fire, heating, a comfy King size bed and a huge deck overlooking the valley below. Very modern but cosy as well. Foxtel & Wifi are also welcome inclusions.The place is so pieceful. They have Wombats and many birds roaming the retreat. - 10+++/10! This was our second visit to Wild Edge Retreat and wow, this place does not disappoint. For us, there is no better place for a romantic, peaceful getaway. It really has become our favourite place to visit and are already planning our next trip here. The retreat is just impeccable, so special, and cannot be faulted in any way. Not made for a sportscar with low profile tyres as the 30 minute trip back to the town ended up with a tyre blow out due to the dirt road condistions now costing me another $600 and a long wait on the side of the road while i learnt how to replace a tyre again 🙁 ... of course not their fault.... - Impeccable luxury! The most romantic weekend away my husband and I have ever had! The hosts were so welcoming and friendly! The attention to detail in our wind spirit pavilion was phenomenal! We arrived to out candle lit pavilion, we soft music and the most amazing view! The bed was super comfy and it has a lounge area that overlooks the stunning view. A lovely kitchen too. The deck outside has lounge beds and a barbecue and the most amazing infinity edge pool. Not to mention the king size day bed oh my god! The first night we had the romance package so we went out to the local pub for an he and when we returned it's was ahhhhmazing! So many candles oh goodness it was beautiful. Rose petals on the bed! Soft music and we had arranged the seafood package for dinner, it was Devine all set up beautifully! The following morning we had the breakfast provided. all the breakfast goodies we cooked were supplied and it was yum. That day we lazed around by the pool and for lunch had the ploughman's package. Lovely local cheeses cold meats and breads and salads yum. Then for dinner yes more food we had the BBQ package so it included meats salads breads etc the meat was soooo tender it was amazing. Following morning we still had enough supplies for breakfast. - Utter bliss and best sleep ever What a treat - If you're looking for a premium stay in the hunter that will leave you wanting more, then this is the place for you. We stayed for one night only in Wispering Forest over the Easter break. Firstly it was great to find a place that tool bookings for 1 night only during Easter - that's actually how we found it, by filtering on Wot If. Not the cheapest place available in the hunter, but what a difference from all the other options. This place is no hotel. There are no communal areas, and you don't even have to share your view with anyone else! Uninterrupted bliss. When we arrived in the afternoon we were warmly welcomed by the owner, who have us a very nice introduction to Wild Edge and our Spa Pavillion. The balance was just right - enough information to enable us to enjoy our stay, without it being overpowering or intrusive in any way. Very friendly and personable. From then we were left to our own devices to enjoy the tranquility. The Pavillion was extremely well appointed - it looked like it had been recently renovated. The bed was so comfortable - best night's sleep we've had in ages! The breakfast provisions were excellent - everything we needed to set ourselves up for the day. The road leading up to Wild Edge is a dirt road, quite steep in places, although we were in a VW Golf with 2 bikes on the roof and had no problems whatsoever. - Ist Wedding Anniversary We have just spent three nights at Wild Edge Retreat, it was perfect! We had booked Pavilion 1, Whispering Forest, when checking in Alan,the owner advised that we had been upgraded to Pavilion 2, Natures Mist which had a private pool. The weather was really hot, average 36 degrees each day so the pool made a big difference. The rooms are well presented with a king size bed, all the mod cons and fully self contained with a big deck overlooking the valley. - Worthy Of 6 Stars We had the pleasure of staying at Wild Edge Retreat for 5 nights last week to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday. As return guests we knew what to expect from this fabulous property, but were very impressed with the little upgrades that Emma and Mick have made since taking over, which easily elevates this wonderful retreat from 5 stars to a very deserving 6! Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by Emma who helped us with our luggage and showed us to our pavilion, Earth Song. Wow, what a treat for the senses! Cosy fire, tea light and aromatherapy candles and soft music. The pavilion was immaculate and equipped with everything needed to self cater. We enjoyed the vast array of breakfast provisions that were so tasty..obviously fresh and locally sourced..oh, and thankyou for the bottle of bubbly and the birthday cake- a lovely touch. We loved Earth Song with its lovely big balcony- perfect to capture the winter sun and glorious sunsets. The property is so peaceful, it becomes very easy to connect with nature. A beautiful location with an incredible uninterrupted view of the bush/jungle, a pavilion so private that you feel like the only people around for miles, a private pool, a beautiful and large outdoor deck for eating, yoga and playing cards on the day bed, a bbq for outdoor cooking every morning and night, an incredible spa bath and tropical shower, indigenous toiletries, absolutely lovely hosts who absolutely get what you need on a trip like this and provide everything that make it special as well as all of the essentials, and the kind of animals wandering around that you want to see (kangaroos on the drive up, goannas on site) but no huge spiders?! - The perfect place for a honeymoon retreat This place was more then amazing, it was perfect. After a stressful yet exhilarating wedding, we were ready for a few days away from people and phones. As we drove up from Sydney, it bucketed down rain and we thought of ditching the whole idea for something closer to warms shops and restaurants. Thank goodness we didn’t. We were greeted with spectacular warmth from the caretaker which, can I say, was one of the kindest, most generous people I’ve met. Not a thing was too much for him. The level of service was impeccable, from picking out dvds for us, to preparing the BBQ and cheese packs (which I highly recommend if you're planning to say), to surprising us with champagne and rose petals upon arrival. Even discussing our stay beforehand, he was happy to take all the preparations on board. A true asset for the retreat. Bring your own food, cheese and wine when you stay (unless you get the packs), as you won’t want to leave. The view, the pool, the bathrooms! All above the chain 5 star resorts by miles. We even splurged a little and took a helicopter tour to the wineries from the retreat’s own helipad. This was all organised through the onsite caretaker. He was just marvellous. We stayed in Whispering Forest the closest to reception and car parking. The owner Emma, received us late after sun down. We were picked up from our car in a buggy then driven to our pavilion, she even helped with our luggage! The pavilion itself is amazing. Extremely clean, beautiful decor. There were candles and rose petals on arrival. There was a beautiful smell burning from the oil burner and the fire was lit and cosy. It was perfect. The bathroom is extremely modern, duel sinks and a huge two person spa. The tea bag for the spa was lovely and didn't affect my skin (dermatology) opening the bifold windows with the bubbles on was bliss. The shampoo and conditioner smell beautiful and everything is organic. Little luxuries like foxtel and the Bose sound system were great. Easy to use fire with a ton of wood. Comfy lounge and chaise, warm robes, slippers and my favourite rugs. The bed is a little firm for me but loved the goose pillows and doona. The kitchen had the perfect amount of cutlery, dishes. Great quality. Dish washer included! Loved the coffee machine, Tim tams and selection of cereals. Not to mention the fresh oj maker. The serenity from the deck was beautiful, quiet and calming. The day bed is comfy but we didn't stay out too much as it is winter and the sun moves of the deck early. There is a ironing board, torch and a pair of binoculars. - A very special place We booked Wild Edge months before our actual stay and as a result of our hectic working life at present found ourselves counting down the days. Driving into the quaint town of Wollombi, we began to feel a sense of calmness settle over us. After purchasing some delicious sparkling wine from the friendly staff at Wollombi winery we made our way up the private road to the "pearly gates" of the retreat. - Heaven on Earth Travelling a long distance and driving through the dirt and narrow road is pretty hard. But once you drive up to the retreat that's where you were see the most beautiful nature view that god created. I call "Heaven on Earth". I love everything about this place the beautiful room, pool, tub, scenery, smell of nature breeze, essential oil, relaxing music, ruby the dog , deck, day-bed, fireplace, kitchen and the staff. 2nights was short i wish i could stay there forever 💜. Relaxed and enjoyed our surroundings to just chill. If you are looking for a relaxing weekend, taking a dip in the infinity pool or just admire a beautiful sunset /Wollombi Valley views, and not to see another human or car during your getaway, then THIS is the perfect place to relax /recharge! First getaway in 3 years due to travel restrictions, Wild Edge is a perfect seclude /private couples stay, approx. 2 hours away from Sydney to this beautiful quiet, secluded destination. As the road leading up to Wild Edge retreat is a fairly narrow dirt road. Recommend bringing what you need for your stay as we didn’t leave until our check out and so glad we did 🙂 Tip: once you check out, takes about 10-15mins - visit wollombi village for a coffee/bevy or Devonshire tea at Myrtle & Stone, local jam (from Gailles stall set up) or visit artwork gallery (run by volunteer staff). Accommodation - Everything was perfect! Outdoor - big balcony with 2 day lounges, little gas Weber Q, king size cabana with infinity pool - all we needed for a relaxing stay ! Indoors - oozes charm and modern decor at same time, comfy king bed, pillows (menu even available, if required), spa bath and shower pressure great, fluffy towels, Foxtel channels, fireplace (perfect for winter) and open plan room - spotless and cleaner than a 5 star hotel. - The perfect honeymoon! During the 2011 Christmas period we were fortunate enough to spend 4 nights in the Wind Spirit pavilion. From the very moment you arrive at the retreat it is clear that you are in for something special. The location is second to none as is the level of service provided by your most welcoming and helpful hosts. Within the pavilion, every detail has been thought of right down to the aeroguard under the sink. The aroma of wonderful breakfasts with incredibly tasty locally made sausages even aroused the interest of two friendly Goannas who could often be seen in the bush below the deck. I had a little query re laundry, sent a message via their website and promptly got a response via email. Apart from the confirmation email received upon booking, there is another email that was sent a week prior to our stay containing all pertinent information including driving instructions.A portion of the road leading up to the retreat location was unsealed. Thus, the drive up there was quite rough and uncomfortable. Nothing unexpected as this was clearly noted on the email. But upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Emma, we heard the chirping of the birds and saw how beautiful the place is, so we thought it was all worth it.Our pavilion (Earth Song) was well-stocked and is extremely clean. We were greeted with some lovely tealight candles, a sweet little birthday cake for my husband, a personalized welcome letter with a beautiful relaxing music on the background. The breakfast provisions were extremely generous (see photos) and we loved the little snacks provided as well that went perfectly with our coffee/tea. My personal favorite was the Citrus Press! I love my OJ freshly squeezed for me for breakfast!The picturesque view from the deck accompanied with the soft chirping of the birds was just the lovely break that we needed from our usual daily routine. We loved soaking ourselves in the warm pool and how we ended our day with a nice warm spa bath.Overall, I think it’s the little personal touches all throughout our stay that made this one particularly stood out from all the rest we’ve had before. From Emma personally greeting us when we arrived helping us with our stuff, the personalized letter, the little cake, setting the mood in the room (candles, music) for when we arrive, the little notes reminding us to just call when we need anything or extra provision, up to the recommendations on where to stop on the way back home!I cannot thank you enough Emma & Mick for helping me make this staycation a truly special and memorable one for my husband! We just cannot wait to be back!TIPS:- Albeit breakfast provisions were extremely generous, bring enough food & bev items that’ll last for the duration of your stay as there are no shops within walking distance to the retreat. Nearest grocery as per the pre-stay email is 35mins drive from there.- There is no laundry facility onsite so it’s helpful to bring a laundry bag for used clothes- No need to bring anything to fully enjoy the spa bath. I actually bought a lush bubble bar but apparently, I can’t use it there. That wasn’t a problem though because a beautiful bath bag infusion, as well as some bath foam is already provided. - Second stay- wonderful long weekend This was our second stay at Wild Edge, this time a 3 night ‘Babymoon’ to relax and enjoy the long weekend. I only have good things to say about this place. Most relaxing experience we could have hoped for
I found Wild Edge Retreat for our Easter Stay and it was the most relaxing experience we could have hoped for. Hampers ordered (BBQ, Ploughmans & Cheese) gave us ample food as well as the included Breakfast Hamper. We loved every minute of being surrounded by nature in this lovely Pavilion.
