Fresh linens including sheets, towels and pool towels are provided for your stay. Our Guest linens & towels are professionally laundered after each stay.

Each Pavilion has a fully equipped kitchenette with a ceramic cooktop, microwave oven, full-size fridge, electric frypan, juicer, toaster and dishwasher.
Log Fires (seasonal)
Our log fires are stacked and ready for use from early May until the October long weekend. These times may vary depending on the weather.
Nespresso and Twinings
All Pavilions have a Nespresso Creatista automatic coffee machine with a supply of capsules. A selection of Twinings teas are also provided.

Privacy is paramount. Our Pavilions are spaced apart for seclusion, with screened pools/decks and no passing traffic, you can hear yourself think!

After a warm welcome from Alan we were shown to our pavilion set in a fantastic location overlooking a valley, the view was all we could wish for and more. The pavilion its self was superb, the attention to detail was fantastic,and the kitchen area had all we needed for a great breakfast.If you are a tea fan you wont be disappointed as they have every tea you can think of and the outside space was perfect for cooking the steak platter we had pre-ordered. We both agreed the bed was the most comfortable we had slept in on the whole trip, and the bathroom was to die for, a superb spa bath overlooking the valley, double wash basins and fantastic walk in shower complete with dressing gowns for lazing on the outside double bed. Our trip was made extra special by all the wild life, Kangaroos, Iguanas Kookaburras and black and red tailed Cockatoos. If you want peace, tranquillity and perfect accommodation this is the place for you. Oh and don’t forget to pop into Wollombi for a great flat white coffee and a cake! - So relaxing and private. Stayed here about five years ago in Wind Spirit and was thoroughly impressed by the location and quality furnishings and amazing infinity pool. My partner and I stayed in Natures Mist this time and were just as impressed if not more so! The location and atmosphere are amazing - totally private and relaxing. Andrew one of the hosts is very charming and nothing is a problem. DVDS are provided for entertainment and the plunge pool is great. - Can't wait to go back! This place is by far the best retreat I've ever been to. Quite, private and the room we stayed in was just beautiful. The guys have just taken over a few months back so they deserve all credit for turning it around - I've read some bad reviews from before. The new management knows how to run this place. My wife and I stayed here in the last week of Dec 2010 and it was amazing. We didn't take a lot of food with us so we had to go out to get it but next time we'll be prepared. You just don't feel like leaving the place. I've already recommended this place to so many of my friends.. One of friends is planning to take his girlfriend here in March - and proposing!!! Hope you take care of him, his girlfriend in flying in all the way from Canada! With a buggy ride from the car park to the pavilion, once we stepped inside we were taken aback by the beautiful scent circulating the room. The music playing in the room was beautiful and relaxing. The views from the room were absolutely stunning! The spa bath has a perfect view of the treelike in the distance and makes for great viewing at sunset with some wine. We were blessed to some amazing warm weather and made good use of an ample size pool and wonderful day bed. The privacy was perfect and the whole weekend spent there was simply care free, and didn't need to leave the room once. - Absolutely love this place, We have visited twice so far and each time has been great this place is quiet and relaxing. The cottage has almost everything you need for a great getaway only thing you need to bring is some food. When we first visited I read the website and didn’t really understand what was included so we did bring things that were already there like oil, coffee and bug spray. The cottage is clean, the bed is so comfy, nice little extras like robes and slippers.We communicated with Emma and every time we did she was always so friendly the service will not disappoint you.As stated in the emails the last 5km is off road so it’s as expected pretty bumpy but when you get to the top it will be worth it.We mostly just had BBQ dinner and lunch but did venture into Cessnock for dinner which has plenty of options.In pokolbin there is a dessert bar if you enjoy sweets it’s definitely a place to visit.If you are looking for a nice relaxing getaway far away from the fast pace city, minimal civilisation then Wild Edge will not disappoint you.We will definitely be back.read moreread lessBec Cj05-02-2024This was a great place for a getaway. Emma and Mick were lovely, and the cabin was perfect.One thing I would mention is that it is up about 20 minutes of dirt track, so a thing to keep in mind when your coming to visit! The trip started off with a pleasant intercom greeting at the security gate. When the gate opened up it was a moment of 'This is heaven'. Walking to the reception through the lush surroundings is nothing short of 'top notch'. We were explained and shown everything from the free DVDs to the house-keeping requirements. We were escorted back to our car where we were taken on the golf-cart to our Vila. Well let me say that the short ride on the cart through the bush was so relaxing and tranquil. On arriving at our Vila we opened it to the pre-air conditioned temperature with lit candles and soothing music throughout. Alan showed us the complimentary breakfast which had been pre-placed in the fridge. The Vila was absolutely stunning. We stayed in the Wind Spirit, which had our own private infinity edge pool over looking the Hinter Valley. The view was nothing but 'post-card' worthy (but even then the pictures would not do it justice). We spent the following few days relaxing without any interruptions from the huddle-bustle of the city life. We felt like we were on a secluded island. I could go on and on praising this place and even this would be enough. I have recommended this place to everyone that I have spoken to since our stay. It was everything we had hoped for and took full advantage of the peace, tranquility and magic view over the Wollombi valley below. As we have visited and stayed in the Wollombi area a few times before, we wanted to just chill out and make the most of the surroundings. We bought enough with us to be self sufficient for the weekend without a need to travel back down the hill. It was having our own private pool which attracted us to Wild Edge this time as we had been in the area in March previously and know how hot it can be. The joy to wake up on both mornings to the song of the bell birds and mist in the valley below made it very memorable. This along with the other abundant bird life welcoming the day was beautiful. I just wish I had remembered my Bird book (maybe something that can be added to each pavilion) Andrew and Alan must be commended for the passion they have for their retreat and the presentation of our pavilion. The place was immaculate and had everything we needed. We took a quiet stroll around the grounds to find out which of the pavilions had the best perspective for the different times of year as we would like to go back in the colder months to make the most of the fire place. After discussing with Alan, he pointed us to Earths Song which sits higher and has a north west aspect so would be drenched in winter sun.. The approach road is well rough in places. Once you are here IT IS WORTH IT! The Pavillion has all you need and more. The fact the sound system is Bose says it all. Whatever there is in and around the Pavillion is QUALITY - a Dyson hairdryer, Molton Brown bath amenities. The view is to die for. The privacy is total. Emma received us and showed us to our pavillion with the skills of Sabine Schmitz around the Nurburgring as she gracefully drove the three foot wide golf buggy along the elevated three foot two inch wide wooden walkway. This is not a place with a WOW factor. It is a place with a WOW factor around every corner. You must bring your own food as there is no local convenience. However, there is ample breakfast stock in the fridge to see you right when you arrive. The provision of more supplies can be arranged. - Bliss !! This was our fifth time at Wildedge Retreat and it just keeps getting better and better!! Our favourite pavilion is Earth Song the view is spectacular ❤️The bed is THE most comfortable I’ve ever slept on ( including my own) and that’s saying something. I had mentioned this place a few times and bless my hubby, he actually remembered. After 3 years of no holiday, we were definitely due for a little break. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed. I am bad with names so do apologize, the daughters father peter(?), was very nice to us (daughter and son in law (owners) were on holdidays and mother and father were house sitting). After having our luggage and ourselves taken to the pavillion in a buggy which was pretty cool. We were greeted by sandy (again sorry if name is wrong) who was so lovely and friendly. Sandy showed us how it all works and left us to relax. The views were gorgeous. We loved it. We actually saw a lyar bird which we thought was pretty amazing as we had never seen one in the wild before. The pavillion was very clean. I could not fault it. The pool was refreshing and the day bed is such a nice spot to relax after a dip. The sunlounges were comfortable. We liked the rustic look of the outdoor tables and chairs and seats were comfy, wide enough. We loved the coffee machine, so much we will be buying one. We did use the big coffee mugs and realised we should have used the little ones. Was not a bother for them at all to bring us more milk though. They also bought us more bacon, and dvds. The bath inside is very big and accomodating for a larger person which is nice. We had 2 baths in our 3 nights stay. We loved it. We loved the shower it had great pressure. Plenty of provisions like a variety of jams, fresh oranges for making juice ( there is a juicer), juice in the fridge, milk, variety of teas and coffee, breakfast provisions. Very well packed. We grumbled (not to them just to each other)a little over having no bbq (realised through reviews though after we got home that they can not for the fire safety, so felt bad for grumbling ) but we found it fine cooking in what is provided. We enjoyed our $180 bottle of veuve cliquot rosè very nice drink. The only thing (after finding out why they cant have a bbq) we thought would be nice is natural australian toiletries, some sensational ones out there. Some have bush scents as well. We have had aussie made natural products in a couple of motels we have stayed in. Molton brown was nice but i dont think it compliments where you are, the aussie bush. Its a small trivial thing and definitely will not stop us from going back. We loved it and recommend to anyone that can afford or want somewhere luxurious peaceful and welcoming to stay. - Amazing place to unwind. My partner and I spent a week at Wild Edge Retreat in the 'natures mist pavilion'. It was magical walking into the pavillion seeing it in immaculate condition, a beautiful insense was burning and to beautifully calm music welcomed our arrival. We had arrived in paradise. The room has a beautiful view and a comfy bed. The pool was great for the hot weather and taking a break from swimming whilst reading a book on the day bed was very relaxing. However, words are not enough to begin to describe the most perfect honeymoon/vacation/retreat, you really need to experience it yourself. I am still overwhelmed as I recall our stay ,from the booking and arrangements, to the welcome, to the location, to the pristine condition of the pavilion, to the 6 star service, to the farewell by Alan. Everything was great!
Wind Spirit pavilion is in a beautiful location and allows for a totally relaxing break. Really generous breakfast provisions & a couple of gourmet platters covered all our meals for 2 days! Add a bottle or two and we had no reason to leave. Thanks Emma and Mick for a great visit.

The pavilion, Nature's Mist, was warm with the fire already started and candles lit was truly beautiful. The breakfast provisions were more than generous, with plenty of high quality options to start each day perfectly. The setting is truly something special. Waking up to breathtaking views and the sound of birds calling mad the whole experience feel peaceful and restorative. The infinity pool was an amazing addition. It’s the kind of place that you can fully switch off and soak in nature. We highly recommend Wild Edge Retreat to anyone looking for relaxation, comfort and beautiful surroundings.
