Our Foxtel System has 1,000 movies, including new releases, and 4,000+ TV episodes OnDemand. Casting from your personal device is also available.
Fresh Linens Supplied
Fresh linens including sheets, towels and pool towels are provided for your stay. Our Guest linens & towels are professionally laundered after each stay.

Each Pavilion has a fully equipped kitchenette with a ceramic cooktop, microwave oven, full-size fridge, electric frypan, juicer, toaster and dishwasher.
Log Fires (seasonal)
Our log fires are stacked and ready for use from early May until the October long weekend. These times may vary depending on the weather.
Nespresso and Twinings
All Pavilions have a Nespresso Creatista automatic coffee machine with a supply of capsules. A selection of Twinings teas are also provided.

Privacy is paramount. Our Pavilions are spaced apart for seclusion, with screened pools/decks and no passing traffic, you can hear yourself think!

- Outstanding Couples Retreat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Short, sharp and shiny..... One of the best places we have ever stayed..... The rooms are amazing with a great attention to detail in every aspect..... The Earth Song room had amazing views and offered everything we could have wanted for a quiet weekend away... Alan was a great host and very pleasant in every dealing we had with him. The only downside about the whole trip was my poor little sportscar got hammered heading up and down the dirt road trek leading to the retreat. Its mentioned as a dirt road but its more of a 4WD track... Not made for a sportscar with low profile tyres as the 30 minute trip back to the town ended up with a tyre blow out due to the dirt road condistions now costing me another $600 and a long wait on the side of the road while i learnt how to replace a tyre again 🙁 ... of course not their fault.... - I never wanted to leave! Opening the door to Whispering Pines Pavilion - queue beautiful, relaxing music and candle light. My breath was taken away. We spent four nights in this luxurious retreat. The view is spectacular, the accommodation is luxurious and spotless, everything has been taken care of with such care and heart. Thoughtful hot cross buns and Easter eggs had been left for us, when we thought the delicious fresh ready to cook breakfast in the fridge was enough! - Tranquil private getaway My husband and I went here for a weekend getaway for our wedding anniversary and we weren't disappointed. We felt welcome from the moment we entered the gates to the time we left. Emma our host was awesome, meeting us at the car with a golf cart to transport our luggage, and was only a call away if we needed anything or extra supplies. The breakfast supplies were amazing with a huge selection to choose from including cereals, yoghurts, fruit, bread, eggs, bacon, mushrooms and fresh tomatoes plus a large selection of teas and coffees. As it was our anniversary there was a complimentary bottle of bubbles from a local winery on ice with a note from the hosts. Relaxed and enjoyed our surroundings to just chill. If you are looking for a relaxing weekend, taking a dip in the infinity pool or just admire a beautiful sunset /Wollombi Valley views, and not to see another human or car during your getaway, then THIS is the perfect place to relax /recharge! First getaway in 3 years due to travel restrictions, Wild Edge is a perfect seclude /private couples stay, approx. 2 hours away from Sydney to this beautiful quiet, secluded destination. As the road leading up to Wild Edge retreat is a fairly narrow dirt road. Recommend bringing what you need for your stay as we didn’t leave until our check out and so glad we did 🙂 Tip: once you check out, takes about 10-15mins - visit wollombi village for a coffee/bevy or Devonshire tea at Myrtle & Stone, local jam (from Gailles stall set up) or visit artwork gallery (run by volunteer staff). Accommodation - Everything was perfect! Outdoor - big balcony with 2 day lounges, little gas Weber Q, king size cabana with infinity pool - all we needed for a relaxing stay ! Indoors - oozes charm and modern decor at same time, comfy king bed, pillows (menu even available, if required), spa bath and shower pressure great, fluffy towels, Foxtel channels, fireplace (perfect for winter) and open plan room - spotless and cleaner than a 5 star hotel. As soon as we arrived, all breakfast supplies, sooo plentiful and fresh produce - loved it and better than a brekky buffet lol - everything you need, latest kitchen high-end appliances for coffee, fresh OJ and cooking. - Surprise 50th Weekend Away After deciding that I would surprise my husband on his 50th birthday with a weekend away, I started researching all luxury accommodation options available in the Hunter region. This is when I found the website for the Wild Edge retreat. The owners were wonderful in allowing me to plan the weekend so that my husband's birthday weekend was wonderful. I communicated with them several times prior and nothing was too much trouble for them to make the weekend perfect . We ordered the BBQ Platter which included meats & chicken skewers which were very tender and salads of the freshest quality and there was enough for both a dinner and lunch the following day. Breakfast provisions were provided and again ample and of the highest quality. They even supplied a beautiful local sparkling wine in celebration of my husband's 50th. The accommodation was elegant & clean , but above all the views were just breath taking allowing you to totally escape & relax. - Second to None Wind Song Pavillion, March 2013. Spotlessly clean, excellent service, romantic, and couldn't ask for more. If you want a romantic breakaway, this is the place to go. Plunge pool, candles, bose sound system, sunken bath with opening bi-folds and lovely views. The host Alan was great and couldn't be more accommodating. It is quite isolated and a dirt road into the property on the last 2.5km, only 4 pavillions, but if you plan it, there is nothing else you need. We even organised a helicopter through Slattery Charters to take us on a wine tasting hop - so didnt use the car the two/three days we were there. Preordered food, and took a few bits and pieces of our own. Went out by day, and stayed in by late afternoon/night to soak up the atmosphere. We even organised a tandem massage which was done in our pavillion. These were met and well exceeded. I could describe in detail the welcoming by Andrew, the feeling of complete relaxation as we were escorted to our pavilion, the overwhelming joy as we entered Wind Spirit, that can only be described as paradise ( yes there were tears), and the feelings of complete peace and togetherness that we felt the whole time we were at Wild Edge. I am still overwhelmed as I recall our stay ,from the booking and arrangements, to the welcome, to the location, to the pristine condition of the pavilion, to the 6 star service, to the farewell by Alan. - Breathtaking, private and romantic. We stayed in the Wind Spirit pavilion for our wedding anniversary and we absolutely loved it. We were lucky to get gorgeous weather so spent all our time by the beautiful, private pool. The sunken hydrotherapy tub overlooking the beautiful view is just divine. The pavilion was beautifully clean and we had everything we needed to stay and relax for our whole stat. The day bed by the pool was a great place to relax between swims and just soak up the amazing surroundings. Sunsets are gorgeous and we enjoyed them with some champagne while sitting on the recliners on the deck. Alan was lovely and very helpful and provided beautiful breakfast. - Beautiful and relaxing. What a beautiful place! I took my partner here to celebrate his 50th birthday and to get away and relax. As it was raining Alan met us at our car with an umbrella before taking us to the Wind Spirit Pavilion on the golf buggy. Walking in to candles, an aromatherapy burner and soft music made it very special. The pavilion is luxurious and has everything you need. Relaxing on the deck watching and listening to the birds while taking in the views was so relaxing. The infinity pool and day bed were another delight. - A weekend to remember We have just stayed in Nature's Mist for our Anniversary. It was everything we had hoped for and took full advantage of the peace, tranquility and magic view over the Wollombi valley below. As we have visited and stayed in the Wollombi area a few times before, we wanted to just chill out and make the most of the surroundings. We bought enough with us to be self sufficient for the weekend without a need to travel back down the hill. It was having our own private pool which attracted us to Wild Edge this time as we had been in the area in March previously and know how hot it can be. The joy to wake up on both mornings to the song of the bell birds and mist in the valley below made it very memorable. This along with the other abundant bird life welcoming the day was beautiful. I just wish I had remembered my Bird book (maybe something that can be added to each pavilion) Andrew and Alan must be commended for the passion they have for their retreat and the presentation of our pavilion. The place was immaculate and had everything we needed. We took a quiet stroll around the grounds to find out which of the pavilions had the best perspective for the different times of year as we would like to go back in the colder months to make the most of the fire place. After discussing with Alan, he pointed us to Earths Song which sits higher and has a north west aspect so would be drenched in winter sun.. - Most amazing Paradise stay From the minute we arrived we felt welcomed! We just spent 3 nights in the Natures Pavilion and one word ... WOW! The pavilion was very spacious, very clean, and had all the necessities you could require and more! We didn't have to leave the Pavilion at all. - Great Getaway and Relaxation and Unwind Absolutely wonderful place to stay - we stayed in Earth Song and it was lovely looking out over the valley to see the sunrise and mist over the mountains. The view is stunning. The accommodation is excellent and we could not ask for more. It was wonderful having a pool to swim in and look out over the valley - a day bed is a wonderful addition to lap up the sun and warmth. We are well pleased with what paid and happy with the quality and quantity of food in the hampers that we received. All the food was very delicious. Service was excellent - our hostess was available to assist when we needed more items. The only noise around was the natural wild life - a very quite and tranquil place to relax and rejuvenate. The room was very clean and they also supplied a beach towel for swimming - which was a plus. We hope to go back next year for another holiday and try out one of the other pavilions. Getting there was easy and the road not sealed but perfect for our 4WD. Also liked the welcome we received both from the hostess and through their Foxtel channel which had a lovely welcome and enjoy our stay. Our hostess was there to welcome us as parked. All luggage went on a buggy and we walked a short distance to our pavilion. I would highly recommend Wild Edge retreat to anyone who wants a peaceful getaway. There's too much to say and all good - we were greeted with warm smiles, given a brief yet informative tour and made to feel right at home, right away. The room was spacious and spotless, and although it opened right up to the mountains beyond, it still had an overwhelming sense of being both private and cosy. The log fire burned for almost our entire stay and kept us warm well into the night. Between the kitchen and the BBQ on our private deck we were able to enjoy most of our time at the retreat, only driving out for a short day trip to some of the local vineyards. My only complaint was that our time at Wild Edge was nowhere near long enough. We'll definitely be back and recommend this retreat to anyone looking for a romantic getaway, a special celebration or just some time away from the rat race of the city. - Beyond expectations We stayed in the Wind Spirit pavilion for our 10th wedding anniversary. We have stayed in some nice places before however this was by far the best. We were welcomed and shown to our pavilion and everything was explained to us. Breakfast provisions are provided and the sausages were awesome!!! The New Zealand stone bathroom was amazing, the hydrotherapy spa with bifold windows was pure luxury, and the infinity pool with king size daybed was heaven. My husband was stoked with the Bose system....I was more excited about the rain shower. We felt very welcome and nothing was a problem. Both Alan and Andrew were fantastic hosts who obviously take pride in their job and retreat. The surrounds are immaculate and everything is so well maintained.
