Fresh linens including sheets, towels and pool towels are provided for your stay. Our Guest linens & towels are professionally laundered after each stay.

Each Pavilion has a fully equipped kitchenette with a ceramic cooktop, microwave oven, full-size fridge, electric frypan, juicer, toaster and dishwasher.
Log Fires (seasonal)
Our log fires are stacked and ready for use from early May until the October long weekend. These times may vary depending on the weather.
Nespresso and Twinings
All Pavilions have a Nespresso Creatista automatic coffee machine with a supply of capsules. A selection of Twinings teas are also provided.

Privacy is paramount. Our Pavilions are spaced apart for seclusion, with screened pools/decks and no passing traffic, you can hear yourself think!

If you like luxurious with a breathtaking view of the valley this retreat will tick that box! - Immaculate, relaxing & private My husband & I stayed in Natures Mist Pavilion in March 2016 for two nights. This is probably the most impeccably appointed accommodation we have ever stayed in. The decor is beautiful and it's spotlessly clean, not even a trace of past careless guests which is often seen in most luxury accommodation. The hosts have thought of every detail you will require for a self contained, romantic & secluded mini break. We had an indoor spa that had bifolds on to the deck, which would be fabulous in winter too with the wood fire, but since we had lovely hot weather we made the most of the heated plunge pool and amazing balinese style day bed. Breakfast provisions are supplied like eggs, bacon, sausages, mushrooms, tomatoes to cook yourselves as well as cereals, bread & yoghurt etc. The hosts respect your privacy and only attend to you if you request them to. The mobile signal is patchy so they provide free wifi and there is a landline for calls. The bed & pillows were comfortable and beach towels provided. Life sometimes doesn't take you were you think and it certainly didn't for my wife and I, but I would not have changed building this place for the world. Wild Edge Retreat was and remains a very special place in our hearts. Although the previous owners to Mick and Emma were entirely forgettable, all I can say is that I am very proud to know that both of them (Mick and Emma) have not only kept up the very high standards we ourselves did, but improved on them. Until recently my wife and I had not returned to the property. We were actually married in the Earth Song Pavilion in 2008. It's been a great trip down memory lane. If you are after something very special and different, somewhat secluded and want to escape the crazy world we currently find ourselves living in, you won't find better hosts or facilities in this part of the Hunter. - Perfect Honeymoon I am not sure where to start with my review!! This place is simply amazing!! We booked online and when Emma contacted us by phone I asked a few questions and told her we were staying here for a little honeymoon! We arrived 2 days after our wedding and were greeted by Emma in the golf cart to collect our belongings to take us to our pavilion, The Wind Spirit!! First little personal detail I noticed was the "Just Married" sign on the back of the cart!! When we arrived at the pavilion, when we opened the door the aircon was on the room smelt amazing! We were greeted with a bottle of champagne and a personal note from Emma and Mick which I have kept for my wedding box and again some "Just married" signs in our room!! Our pavilion was incredibly clean! It had the feeling that we had been the first to stay there (which were obviously not) which in my opinion is the level of cleanliness you want! I had read the emails when we booked and all the info on the website and when I jumped online and read some reviews it is very clearly noted 1. The driveway can be rough! It was actually not as bad as I was expecting and noticed that it was better in some parts then the tar on the main roads! 2. Get your groceries on the way out because it is not a resort! We did drop into Cessnock on the way and grabbed some supplies, although we did go out almost everyday and have a look around but if you don't want to have to leave, it is very obvious to grab it on the way! We were on our way out one morning to go for a little drive and grab some breakfast when we ran into Mick he suggested a little cafe in Laguna!! It was perfect, thanks Mick!! The pavilion has everything you need and more! It has all top of the range appliances! We got the seafood platter and I cannot recommend it more! It was some of the best seafood I have ever had! It was so fresh! It was the perfect honeymoon waking up to the birds every morning! We stayed 4 nights, 5 days! The pool, the spa, the robes and the movies in bed! It couldn't have been better! Emma contacted me to make to go over all the arrangements and nothing was a problem. We arrived at the front gates and we were greeted by Tamara who helped us with our luggage and drove us to our pavilion on their golf cart. We booked Natures Mist , all I can say is the pictures do not do it justice it was amazing. Every small and thoughtful detail had been provided the views were breathtaking. We had a massages booked for Saturday morning absolutely perfect and the location just made it .. The day bed and plunge pool just created this sense of your own piece of paradise. Everyday breakfast provisions were available and a simple phone call to reception for more was never an issue. - First Class, absolute luxury in paradise My husband and I came to Wild Edge for 2 nights after our wedding to relax and reflect on the busy week we had. I had always dreamt of visiting Wild Edge and finally found the perfect reason to visit. Alan and Andrew are the perfect hosts, so warm, welcoming and friendly, and we loved meeting Ruby. We arrived off the main road up a dirt road wondering where we were going in the bush land to be greeted by a secluded paradise. Upon check in we were informed of the DVDs available to borrow and we were whisked away via golf cart to our home Earth Song. The doors were opened and my jaw dropped, the pavilion we stayed in was breathtaking, it was so cosy and warm feeling with lovely touches of candles lit and relaxing music. We were provided with a tour of the facilities and advised the BBQ dinner package would be brought over at 6pm. We also ordered a cheese platter, it was presented perfectly and lasted our entire stay. Every attention to detail was to first class presentation, with the towels having a branch from the garden, a complimentary bottle of local champagne, to warm crusty bread, balsamic and olive, and chocolates served with our BBQ platter. The breakfast provisions were more than substantial for our stay. The boys have thought of everything! The pavilion was immaculate with not one ounce of dust or dirt. We had a super relaxing time and enjoyed the peace, tranquility and luxury just soaking up the stunning views and sunsets. The bathroom was AMAZING with the sunken spa bath and large rainhead shower, we sat watching the sunset for hours. You have a fabulous business, and we can't wait to come back and try another pavilion, perhaps in the winter time to enjoy the fireplace! You won't want to leave when you get here!! - Romantic hideaway I chose this beautiful place to spend my 50th with my very romantic husband. We only had two nights at Wild Edge Retreat but it was superb. We had perfect weather. We were able to sit out on the deck of the Nature's Mist pavilion till late and lazily work our way through our cheese platter, sipping delicious Hunter Valley wine. The breakfast provisions were ample, including the hot cross buns we received for Easter. The pavilions are spotlessly clean and the bed was so comfortable. - Absolutely outstanding! The other reviews tell it all- best place we've ever stayed (and we're well-travelled). Candle-lit welcome was beautiful (after being met in a lower carpark for luggage transfer), in the architect-designed villa (nooks and diagonals- not a square room!). Hostess was friendly and gracious. Food provided for breakfast was an excellent (and large) selection, with individual requirements catered for (eg lite milk). Unusually outstanding tea selection! Al fresco dining overlooking the valley and an amazing array of birds was a delight. Could even watch a movie (convenient as was previously recorded by other guests!). - Absolutely amazing place, highly reccomend it to everyone. My partner and I were looking for somewhere to spend a romantic weekend away for his birthday. Wild edge were so helpful, they made him a birthday cake, allowed me to get balloons delivered, then they personally delivered them to our room and even sang him happy birthday! Both hosts went above and beyond with everything that they did. The pavilion was so luxurious inside and out, everything was absolutely spotless. The pool and spa were totally private, it really is the perfect place to relax. The candle package was the most amazing thing, 60 candles lit up the room in the most romantic way. - Sueannie After a long flight from the UK, and sight seeing in Brisbane and Sydney we were ready for some peace and tranquillity! Wild Edge did not disappoint. After a warm welcome from Alan we were shown to our pavilion set in a fantastic location overlooking a valley, the view was all we could wish for and more. The pavilion its self was superb, the attention to detail was fantastic,and the kitchen area had all we needed for a great breakfast.If you are a tea fan you wont be disappointed as they have every tea you can think of and the outside space was perfect for cooking the steak platter we had pre-ordered. We both agreed the bed was the most comfortable we had slept in on the whole trip, and the bathroom was to die for, a superb spa bath overlooking the valley, double wash basins and fantastic walk in shower complete with dressing gowns for lazing on the outside double bed. - Amazing! We stayed in the wind spirit pavilion and could not find anything to fault. It was the perfect combination of luxury and relaxation. - Does it get any better than this? My partner & I recently enjoyed a 3 night stay in the Wind Spirit pavilion. Wow, what a great experience. The pavilion had every creature comfort, was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and completely private. The infinity pool was the big winner, it was simply stunning. The view from the balcony was something else. The vista was mesmerising with views of rolling bushland in the foreground peppered with bountiful birdlife and the odd kangaroo hopping around, to distant mountain ridges at the horizon. Nothing was too difficult for our host Alan, he was helpful and very informative about the regions attractions. I would highly recommend Wild Edge Retreat and will be looking forward to a return visit in the not too distant future. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by Emma who helped us with our luggage and showed us to our pavilion, Earth Song. Wow, what a treat for the senses! Cosy fire, tea light and aromatherapy candles and soft music. The pavilion was immaculate and equipped with everything needed to self cater. We enjoyed the vast array of breakfast provisions that were so tasty..obviously fresh and locally sourced..oh, and thankyou for the bottle of bubbly and the birthday cake- a lovely touch. We loved Earth Song with its lovely big balcony- perfect to capture the winter sun and glorious sunsets. The property is so peaceful, it becomes very easy to connect with nature. - Luxury in the wollombi bush My hubby surprised me with a 3 night stay at wild edge retreat, The Natures Mist pavillion. I had mentioned this place a few times and bless my hubby, he actually remembered. After 3 years of no holiday, we were definitely due for a little break. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed. I am bad with names so do apologize, the daughters father peter(?), was very nice to us (daughter and son in law (owners) were on holdidays and mother and father were house sitting). After having our luggage and ourselves taken to the pavillion in a buggy which was pretty cool. We were greeted by sandy (again sorry if name is wrong) who was so lovely and friendly. Sandy showed us how it all works and left us to relax. The views were gorgeous. We loved it. We actually saw a lyar bird which we thought was pretty amazing as we had never seen one in the wild before. The pavillion was very clean. I could not fault it. The pool was refreshing and the day bed is such a nice spot to relax after a dip. The sunlounges were comfortable. We liked the rustic look of the outdoor tables and chairs and seats were comfy, wide enough. We loved the coffee machine, so much we will be buying one. We did use the big coffee mugs and realised we should have used the little ones. Was not a bother for them at all to bring us more milk though. They also bought us more bacon, and dvds. The bath inside is very big and accomodating for a larger person which is nice. We had 2 baths in our 3 nights stay. We loved it. We loved the shower it had great pressure. Plenty of provisions like a variety of jams, fresh oranges for making juice ( there is a juicer), juice in the fridge, milk, variety of teas and coffee, breakfast provisions. Very well packed. We grumbled (not to them just to each other)a little over having no bbq (realised through reviews though after we got home that they can not for the fire safety, so felt bad for grumbling ) but we found it fine cooking in what is provided. We enjoyed our $180 bottle of veuve cliquot rosè very nice drink. The only thing (after finding out why they cant have a bbq) we thought would be nice is natural australian toiletries, some sensational ones out there. Some have bush scents as well. We have had aussie made natural products in a couple of motels we have stayed in. Molton brown was nice but i dont think it compliments where you are, the aussie bush. Its a small trivial thing and definitely will not stop us from going back. We loved it and recommend to anyone that can afford or want somewhere luxurious peaceful and welcoming to stay. We wanted a private luxurious cabin with tranquil surroundings and that is exactly what we got! As soon as we had parked our car, we were greeted by our lovely host Emma, who transported our luggage via electric cart to our accommodation. We entered our cabin to find a warm fireplace and pure ambience created by tea lights and soft music. Our cabin was immaculate and very well equipped with everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable and our cabin even included amazing breakfast provisions for the weekend. - TRANQUIL COUPLES ESCAPE RETREAT Wow needed to book a really peaceful getaway for my husband and I as he needed to decompress, I wanted something a bit different, quite peaceful, somewhere quiet, but with all the luxury amenities to. Wild Edge is just that. Emma and Mick are the perfect hosts and make it clear that they are here to help but not intrude on your getaway. Greeted with such warmth Emma took us to our pavilion and showed us what we needed to know. The ambiance was perfect the fire was lit, as was candles throughout, you instantly feel relaxed. The Breakfast provisions are just perfect, a great coffee machine, even oranges and a juicer if you so desire. A Dyson hairdryer which was pretty cool to test out! Immediately we felt like we could rest and relax and unwind. The view amazing the silence wonderful, perfect!!! honestly cannot fault it in anyway and recommend to anyone needing some serious quiet time - we didn't use the pool (this time) as cooler weather but we will come again. - Spectacular Retreat We first discovered Wild Edge Retreat in 2017 and stayed in Whispering Forest. We loved our stay so much that we returned in 2018 to find new hosts and some new additions which elevated our stay even more! When we arrived for check-in, the gates opened before we pressed the intercom button and, before we had even parked, we could see the golf cart coming out from Reception to greet us. Emma hopped off and introduced herself, making us feel so welcome, as she helped us unload the car. As it was nearing 40 degrees, she wanted to get us to our pavilion as quickly as possible and we could not believe the thought and care that went into our arrival; air-con was already cooling the property, candles had been lit + fragrance oil was diffusing, a bottle of bubbles was on ice with a lovely 'welcome back' card, the fridge and cupboards were stocked - everything was immaculate. Emma walked us through the need-to knows before reminding us they were only a phone call away, then left us to unpack and settle in. We opted to stay in Wind Spirit this time around and it surpassed our already high expectations. The views from the pavilion, spa bath, balcony, and infinity pool are spectacular. Seeing the valley change throughout the day, especially at sunrise and sunset, is beautiful. The infinity pool was our main reason for booking a mid-summer getaway and we swam at least five times a day. From first thing in the morning to after the stars came out at night, the solar-heated pool ensured that we were never too chilly in the water. My favourite time was just before sunset - the valley looks like a postcard and we even saw a family of kangaroos hop by on our last night! The unsealed road to the property is a little bit of an adventure for our 2WD but the work done since we last stayed has definitely improved the drive up from Wollombi town centre. The coffee machine + selection of pods is excellent and the juicer + oranges meant I enjoyed fresh OJ every morning for breakfast. The Wi-Fi, cable television, barbecue, and new bathroom products were all excellent touches and we made use of it all. We stayed for three nights but I could have honestly stayed a week, it was SO relaxing, tranquil, peaceful, and quiet. The hosts have done wonderfully in their transition, they put such care and consideration into the property and their attention to detail meant that we wanted for nothing for our entire stay. Our wedding anniversary weekend is the one weekend in the year when my wife and I get away from everything and everyone. Just to recharge ourselves. The Retreat welcomed us beautifully, gently and quietly put us at rest.

Most relaxing experience we could have hoped for
I found Wild Edge Retreat for our Easter Stay and it was the most relaxing experience we could have hoped for. Hampers ordered (BBQ, Ploughmans & Cheese) gave us ample food as well as the included Breakfast Hamper. We loved every minute of being surrounded by nature in this lovely Pavilion.
