Our fire trail is clearly defined and covers just some of the Retreat’s 96 acres and is a gentle 30 to 60 minute walk.

Our car park is at the entrance to the Retreat and has two Tesla chargers and an outlet if you need to plug in your own!

Enjoy your bedtime with our custom made mattresses. Designed with AH Beard and made in Sydney, Australia, sleeping becomes an experience!

Our Foxtel System has 1,000 movies, including new releases, and 4,000+ TV episodes OnDemand. Casting from your personal device is also available.
Fresh Linens Supplied
Fresh linens including sheets, towels and pool towels are provided for your stay. Our Guest linens & towels are professionally laundered after each stay.
Kitchenette
Each Pavilion has a fully equipped kitchenette with a ceramic cooktop, microwave oven, full-size fridge, electric frypan, juicer, toaster and dishwasher.
Log Fires (seasonal)
Our log fires are stacked and ready for use from early May until the October long weekend. These times may vary depending on the weather.
Nespresso and Twinings
All Pavilions have a Nespresso Creatista automatic coffee machine with a supply of capsules. A selection of Twinings teas are also provided.

Privacy is paramount. Our Pavilions are spaced apart for seclusion, with screened pools/decks and no passing traffic, you can hear yourself think!

Spend time on your private deck with a king size Outdoor Daybed, dual sun lounges, dining table and a Weber Baby Q barbecue.

Each of our Pavilions has their own private Plunge Pool. Complete with deck screens, so no swimming costume required! Perfect for a skinny dip!

I never wanted to leave! Opening the door to Whispering Pines Pavilion - queue beautiful, relaxing music and candle light. My breath was taken away. We spent four nights in this luxurious retreat. The view is spectacular, the accommodation is luxurious and spotless, everything has been taken care of with such care and heart. Thoughtful hot cross buns and Easter eggs had been left for us, when we thought the delicious fresh ready to cook breakfast in the fridge was enough! - Perfect Honeymoon I am not sure where to start with my review!! This place is simply amazing!! We booked online and when Emma contacted us by phone I asked a few questions and told her we were staying here for a little honeymoon! We arrived 2 days after our wedding and were greeted by Emma in the golf cart to collect our belongings to take us to our pavilion, The Wind Spirit!! First little personal detail I noticed was the "Just Married" sign on the back of the cart!! When we arrived at the pavilion, when we opened the door the aircon was on the room smelt amazing! We were greeted with a bottle of champagne and a personal note from Emma and Mick which I have kept for my wedding box and again some "Just married" signs in our room!! Our pavilion was incredibly clean! It had the feeling that we had been the first to stay there (which were obviously not) which in my opinion is the level of cleanliness you want! I had read the emails when we booked and all the info on the website and when I jumped online and read some reviews it is very clearly noted 1. The driveway can be rough! It was actually not as bad as I was expecting and noticed that it was better in some parts then the tar on the main roads! 2. Get your groceries on the way out because it is not a resort! We did drop into Cessnock on the way and grabbed some supplies, although we did go out almost everyday and have a look around but if you don't want to have to leave, it is very obvious to grab it on the way! We were on our way out one morning to go for a little drive and grab some breakfast when we ran into Mick he suggested a little cafe in Laguna!! It was perfect, thanks Mick!! The pavilion has everything you need and more! It has all top of the range appliances! We got the seafood platter and I cannot recommend it more! It was some of the best seafood I have ever had! It was so fresh! It was the perfect honeymoon waking up to the birds every morning! We stayed 4 nights, 5 days! The pool, the spa, the robes and the movies in bed! It couldn't have been better! The stress started to disappear after arriving at the gate and being met by our amazing host Emma, who went out of her way to make us feel welcome. After we unpacked, we discovered the kitchen full of generous breakfast supplies, various fruits, yoghurts, a variety of teas, a coffee machine, fresh local oranges and and electric juicer. - Breathtaking, private and romantic. We stayed in the Wind Spirit pavilion for our wedding anniversary and we absolutely loved it. We were lucky to get gorgeous weather so spent all our time by the beautiful, private pool. The sunken hydrotherapy tub overlooking the beautiful view is just divine. The pavilion was beautifully clean and we had everything we needed to stay and relax for our whole stat. The day bed by the pool was a great place to relax between swims and just soak up the amazing surroundings. Sunsets are gorgeous and we enjoyed them with some champagne while sitting on the recliners on the deck. Alan was lovely and very helpful and provided beautiful breakfast. Candle-lit welcome was beautiful (after being met in a lower carpark for luggage transfer), in the architect-designed villa (nooks and diagonals- not a square room!). Hostess was friendly and gracious. Food provided for breakfast was an excellent (and large) selection, with individual requirements catered for (eg lite milk). Unusually outstanding tea selection! With a buggy ride from the car park to the pavilion, once we stepped inside we were taken aback by the beautiful scent circulating the room. The music playing in the room was beautiful and relaxing. The views from the room were absolutely stunning! The spa bath has a perfect view of the treelike in the distance and makes for great viewing at sunset with some wine. We were blessed to some amazing warm weather and made good use of an ample size pool and wonderful day bed. The privacy was perfect and the whole weekend spent there was simply care free, and didn't need to leave the room once. - A Slice of Heaven After a crazy 2021, my husband and I were desperate for a place to relax and unwind. And boy, did Wild Edge Retreat deliver just what we were after! After a warm welcome from Alan we were shown to our pavilion set in a fantastic location overlooking a valley, the view was all we could wish for and more. The bed is large and comfortable with great pillows. A large terrace with outdoor bed and bar-b-que runs the length of the pavilion and has panoramic views across the valley beow. Its mentioned as a dirt road but its more of a 4WD track... Not made for a sportscar with low profile tyres as the 30 minute trip back to the town ended up with a tyre blow out due to the dirt road condistions now costing me another $600 and a long wait on the side of the road while i learnt how to replace a tyre again 🙁 ... of course not their fault.... - Second stay- wonderful long weekend This was our second stay at Wild Edge, this time a 3 night ‘Babymoon’ to relax and enjoy the long weekend. I only have good things to say about this place. The warm greeting, the cleanliness and presentation of the pavilion and the wonderful view from the balcony all add up to a great stay. Everything is thought of here. The breakfast provisions were excellent and we had packed food for lunches and dinners and prepared quite a few great meals and found that everything we needed for cooking was provided in the kitchen. I loved relaxing in the spa with the windows open and candles lit and the pool was warm, but not too hot- great way to spend a couple of warm afternoons floating around in privacy (especially because I am very pregnant!). We stayed in ‘Nature’s Mist’ on this occasion and have previously stayed in the other pool villa. Both are lovely, and had everything we needed for a great long weekend. I really do hope to return again in the future for another relaxing break! - Wild Edge Retreat was so lovely! I advise driving during the day as it is hard to look for the retreat during night time (no GPS/cell signal in that area). However, if you follow the signs it is quite easy. The area is quite nice and very secluded. We stayed in the Wind Spirit and it was very lovely. We give top marks for cleanliness and privacy. The decor, infinity pool, and bathroom was very nice, along with the service (complementary breakfast in the refrigerator). Overall an Amazing experience! So we went there over New Years 2014 break.... What can I say - Amazing. The trip started off with a pleasant intercom greeting at the security gate. When the gate opened up it was a moment of 'This is heaven'. Walking to the reception through the lush surroundings is nothing short of 'top notch'. We were explained and shown everything from the free DVDs to the house-keeping requirements. We were escorted back to our car where we were taken on the golf-cart to our Vila. Well let me say that the short ride on the cart through the bush was so relaxing and tranquil. On arriving at our Vila we opened it to the pre-air conditioned temperature with lit candles and soothing music throughout. Alan showed us the complimentary breakfast which had been pre-placed in the fridge. The Vila was absolutely stunning. We stayed in the Wind Spirit, which had our own private infinity edge pool over looking the Hinter Valley. The view was nothing but 'post-card' worthy (but even then the pictures would not do it justice). We spent the following few days relaxing without any interruptions from the huddle-bustle of the city life. We felt like we were on a secluded island. I could go on and on praising this place and even this would be enough. I have recommended this place to everyone that I have spoken to since our stay. Walking up to reception across the boardwalk and hearing the variety of birds singing in the trees, instantly made us both smile. Upon entry my jaw dropped as it was just beautiful, the decor and layout was stunning and so clean. The little touches, such as lit candles and the aromatherapy burner made me feel relaxed as soon as I walked through the door. Walking outside onto the balcony, I turned right and there was the infinity pool, which I could not wait to jump into. The day bed and loungers were singing out to be used. Alan and Andrew have thought of everything and throughout the whole stay it felt as though we were surrounded with luxury. The food platter and breakfast provisions were very generous and contained quality items. We both returned home feeling rejuvenated and much more relaxed and happier. Wind Spirit pavilion is in a beautiful location and allows for a totally relaxing break. Really generous breakfast provisions & a couple of gourmet platters covered all our meals for 2 days! Add a bottle or two and we had no reason to leave. Thanks Emma and Mick for a great visit.

3 days wasn't enough
Thank you for making our 30th Wedding Anniversary so special. The cake was wonderful. 3 days wasn't enough. We could have stayed for another few days. So relaxing and so quiet, only the birds to listen to. Beautiful. We will be back and a bit longer next time.
