Each Pavilion has a fully equipped kitchenette with a ceramic cooktop, microwave oven, full-size fridge, electric frypan, juicer, toaster and dishwasher.

Our log fires are stacked and ready for use from early May until the October long weekend. These times may vary depending on the weather.
Nespresso and Twinings
All Pavilions have a Nespresso Creatista automatic coffee machine with a supply of capsules. A selection of Twinings teas are also provided.

Privacy is paramount. Our Pavilions are spaced apart for seclusion, with screened pools/decks and no passing traffic, you can hear yourself think!

Our Honeymoon We picked Wild Edge for our Honeymoon location after googling couple retreats in NSW. After a 5am flight from Perth, picking up a hire car and driving up to the retreat we were drained. We were greeted by Alan the owner with a friendly smile. Kindly they upgraded us to Earth Song for our honeymoon and chauffeured us to our villa. He showed us the amenities and left us to relax. A gift of sparking and a kind card to congratulate us on our wedding was very kind. The villa is beyond 5 star, it was spotless and not a speck of dust or dirt. Linen was extremely good quality. The thick towels were great. Breakfast provisions lasted us the 3 days and Alan always offered more if we needed it. Mushrooms with butter, delicious! Views of the valley and the quite location made our stay very romantic. - Secluded Retreat My wife and I stayed at Wild Edge Retreat for two nights in May 2015. What an incredible experience. It's a selcuded retreat hidden away on the top of a mountain with only 4 Pavilions. Your only 40 minutes away from the Pokolbin/Hunter Wineries but it feels like you are miles from nowhere. The Hosts are fantastic, Alan was most welcoming and very helpful. They had the candles lit and the fire ready to go on our arrival and the place smelt wonderful. We stayed in the Whispering Forest Pavilion which was well presented, so clean and included a wood fire, heating, a comfy King size bed and a huge deck overlooking the valley below. Very modern but cosy as well. Foxtel & Wifi are also welcome inclusions.The place is so pieceful. They have Wombats and many birds roaming the retreat. You guys have nailed it, you are both great at what you do! We were welcomed at the top of the ridge by Emma, she was so friendly upon arrival. she helped us with our luggage in her buggy and she made us feel so welcome! We stayed here for 3 nights over the Easter long weekend! What a top location! - secluded Our luggage was loaded aboard a golf buggy and we were then driven a short distance to our luxurious pavilion. Upon entering the pavilion, we were warmly welcomed to the prearranged candles which spread throughout the entire clean, romantic and warmly designed pavilion. We had a warm and inviting welcome from our host. Alan showed us the complimentary breakfast which had been pre-placed in the fridge. The service was warm and welcoming on arrival and once we checked in it felt like we were the only two people there, it’s a place where you really do nothing if you want but watch the world go by. We stayed in the WIND SPIRIT PAVILION with the infinity pool. The pavilions are private, large, comfortable, elegant and beautifully appointed. They have a fully equipped kitchen and fridge. A large terrace with outdoor bed and bbq runs the length of the pavilion and has panoramic views across the valley. If you want a luxurious, romantic, peaceful, secluded getaway then this is the place for you! With only 4 Pavilions on site what more can you ask for. From our arrival to our departure - it was nothing but perfection. We had our own infinity pool which was fantastic great size, overlooking the valley. The views were magic I could not stop taking pictures. I could go on & on but I suggest you see it for yourself... I highly recommend Wild Edge Retreat to all couples looking for a luxurious escape, where you don’t see anyone for the time that you are there, full privacy How good is that... I had a little query re laundry, sent a message via their website and promptly got a response via email. Apart from the confirmation email received upon booking, there is another email that was sent a week prior to our stay containing all pertinent information including driving instructions.A portion of the road leading up to the retreat location was unsealed. Thus, the drive up there was quite rough and uncomfortable. Nothing unexpected as this was clearly noted on the email. But upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Emma, we heard the chirping of the birds and saw how beautiful the place is, so we thought it was all worth it.Our pavilion (Earth Song) was well-stocked and is extremely clean. We were greeted with some lovely tealight candles, a sweet little birthday cake for my husband, a personalized welcome letter with a beautiful relaxing music on the background. The breakfast provisions were extremely generous (see photos) and we loved the little snacks provided as well that went perfectly with our coffee/tea. My personal favorite was the Citrus Press! I love my OJ freshly squeezed for me for breakfast!The picturesque view from the deck accompanied with the soft chirping of the birds was just the lovely break that we needed from our usual daily routine. We loved soaking ourselves in the warm pool and how we ended our day with a nice warm spa bath.Overall, I think it’s the little personal touches all throughout our stay that made this one particularly stood out from all the rest we’ve had before. From Emma personally greeting us when we arrived helping us with our stuff, the personalized letter, the little cake, setting the mood in the room (candles, music) for when we arrive, the little notes reminding us to just call when we need anything or extra provision, up to the recommendations on where to stop on the way back home!I cannot thank you enough Emma & Mick for helping me make this staycation a truly special and memorable one for my husband! We just cannot wait to be back!TIPS:- Albeit breakfast provisions were extremely generous, bring enough food & bev items that’ll last for the duration of your stay as there are no shops within walking distance to the retreat. Nearest grocery as per the pre-stay email is 35mins drive from there.- There is no laundry facility onsite so it’s helpful to bring a laundry bag for used clothes- No need to bring anything to fully enjoy the spa bath. I actually bought a lush bubble bar but apparently, I can’t use it there. That wasn’t a problem though because a beautiful bath bag infusion, as well as some bath foam is already provided. - Amazing getaway for couples We stayed two nights in the Earth Song pavilion for a birthday celebration. Accomodation is perfect. The pool heated perfectly and the view is amazing. - Amazing place to unwind. My partner and I spent a week at Wild Edge Retreat in the 'natures mist pavilion'. It was magical walking into the pavillion seeing it in immaculate condition, a beautiful insense was burning and to beautifully calm music welcomed our arrival. We had arrived in paradise. The room has a beautiful view and a comfy bed. The pool was great for the hot weather and taking a break from swimming whilst reading a book on the day bed was very relaxing. - Absolutely amazing I booked the Wild Edge Retreat for two nights for my boyfriends surprise birthday weekend away. I thought the photos looked fantastic, but once we got there the photos don't do it justice. The place is absolutely beautiful and peaceful, and Alan and Andrew's attention to detail and personal service was just out of this world! We had the seafood platter ordered for two on the Friday night, and as soon as we arrived the place had tealight candles lit and the table set up for dinner. I had called an hour out from arrival just to ensure that all was in order for my beautiful wife and the serious romancing which was about to get underway. It was 8pm in the evening and after a slow, seriously dark and dirty trek up the mountain (albeit that this should be expected in the country), we arrived through the gates only to be happily greeted by Alan. Our luggage was loaded aboard a golf buggy and we were then driven a short distance to our luxurious pavilion . Upon entering said pavilion, we were warmly welcomed to the prearranged candles which spread throughout the entire clean, romantic and warmly designed apartment. The apartment itself ( we stayed in Natures Mist) sits high above a valley, looking down over some distant farm land and cattle. There wasn't a person, car, sound or anything else that could have possibly distracted us from our relaxing and harmonious stay. It was total bliss. The bed was a total delight. The pillows were perfect with sheets and a quilt to match... I did however forget to take note and/or ask for the brand and type of pillows! Rookie error for a newlywed I suppose. The attention to detail throughout the place was amazing. We didn't need anything else as the kitchen was fully contained with all utensils and cooking equipment that we required. There was a bbq on the deck which was perfect for us to cook our meats that we bought locally. My wife and I also managed (thanks to great weather) to cook the scrumptious breakfast provisions (that were provided to us daily) on the bbq. The sausages are a must! With respect to the grounds, the staff have done a wonderful job. The gardens are filled with native flowers and plants and are on show via the boardwalks throughout. We managed to catch several cute little wombats getting about along with some possums and amazing birds. The retreat is about 20 mins from the Wollombi Wines vineyard and about 25 from Stonehurst. We had the pleasure of visiting both and there were some cracking wines on offer. In terms of "to do", it is a retreat after all so definitely don't be expecting anything outrageous or on the wilder side of things otherwise be prepared to be disappointed. My advice would be to ensure that you go with great company! Overall, we would say that this place is definitely special. It's exactly what we could have wanted and more, and for the reasonable price tag, it far surpasses most if not all of the high end hotels you would find in a major city. We will be back for sure! - An amazing retreat, we will definitely be back My husband and I stayed at Wild Edge Retreat to mark our wedding anniversary, and what a romantic setting! The pavilions were immaculately presented and we were lucky enough to be upgraded to one of the pavilions with an infinity pool. As we woke up on Saturday morning we were overwhelmed by the beautiful view of the valley, we didn’t want to leave….ever! Alan went out of his way to make our stay wonderful, he booked us dinner on the Saturday night (and even dropped us there and back so we could drink a few celebratory wines). What a host! - Heaven on Earth Travelling a long distance and driving through the dirt and narrow road is pretty hard. But once you drive up to the retreat that's where you were see the most beautiful nature view that god created. I call "Heaven on Earth". I love everything about this place the beautiful room, pool, tub, scenery, smell of nature breeze, essential oil, relaxing music, ruby the dog , deck, day-bed, fireplace, kitchen and the staff. 2nights was short i wish i could stay there forever 💜. Me and my partner have the most quality time together no wifi, no phone or disturb n also no social media time for us. We get to bond our love together and communicate more we get to cook together,do spa and watch movie, see night sky n stars. Every morning i wake up with a peaceful and relaxing mind. - Great couples getaway! We stayed for 2 wonderful nights in the Natures Mist Pavillion. It was absolutely wonderful. Every tiny detail was clearly thought out. The bed felt like you were sleeping on a cloud and the log fire heated the room nicely and it was so romantic. The place was fully booked but we never saw anybody until we were leaving!! We turned up a whole day early (oops) and met Andrew and Allen who were so helpful in offering to organise with us other accommodation, but we (luckily enough) we're able to stay in a different pavilion, before transferring to our original booking the next day. So our two night stay turned into three nights. First we were in the Earth Song pavilion. It was just stunning. Comfortable, cosy, spacious. Beautiful view of the mountains from the deck. We enjoyed a lovely spa bath (after running it, draining it and then running it again - heads up people, your romantic rose petals may be romantic for you, but NOT for the next people to use the spa. Don't put petals in a spa!!). Had a delicious dinner in, thanks to the well equipped kitchen and the groceries we picked up on the way, and a lovely nights sleep. We headed to the hunter valley zoo the next day, and had lunch at Potters. Both were awesome. The zoo is small, but perfect if you like to explore close up. We enjoyed it more than Taronga. Potter's had the most delicious food. We also visited a chocolate factory and the smelly cheese shop. Our next pavilion and original room booking was Wind Spirit. This is the best pavilion. It's the most private, and the solar heated pool is just the perfect treat. Lovely to daze on the daybed outside, after having a bit of a swim. The room layouts are similar in the pavilions, but Andrew and Allen have great attention to detail and the whole place has the most amazing luxury in the bush feel. My husband loved the rain shower head in the shower too, while I really loved the spa bath. The breakfast provisions they give you are fresh and tasty, bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomato's and bread. The juice was the best juice I've ever tasted too. We can't wait to go back another time to stay. Just treat yourself- you deserve it! This is our third visit to Wildedge Retreat and I would have to say our favourite so far! We have stayed in Wind Spirit and Natures Mist and they are both divine. Our hosts Emma and Mick friendly and very approachable - nothing is a problem. I think the main reason this visit stands out is the attention to detail. The Pavilion was sparkling clean with little tea lights lit everywhere. The linen is new and of very good quality. The Weber BBQ is fantastic - we have one at home so my partner was ecstatic to see it was a Weber. A proper Nespresso machine with all the pods you need. They have sensor lights which come on in the middle of the night when you get out of bed - genious! Very generous breakfast provisions - absolutely everything you would want or need. Even better a welcome back card and a lovely bottle of champagne greeted us.The view is amazing and the pool great for just diving in after a few refreshments. We were very well stocked with alcohol and food and did not leave our Pavilion! - The BEST time of my life!!! Me and my fiancé visited Wild Edge Couple Retreat last weekend and it was a surprise for me from the beginning! I must admit that I have never ever stayed in a more beautiful and more special place. It was literally a heaven on earth. So piece full,so private. We stayed in the Earth Song villa that is located on the very top of the hill with a stunning views. When we entered, I truly believed there is in no better place on earth. The setting is fantastic if you want to really get away from it all with little/ no mobile reception and a drive up a steep unsealed dirt track to reach the property. We loved the welcoming music and scented oil burning on arrival, the huge spa bath overlooking the deck and one of the most comfortable beds that we've ever slept in. If we had to come up with one criticism, it would be the sofa not being the most comfortable for lounging around, reading papers/ watching movies. But that's a very minor criticism. Wild edge were so helpful, they made him a birthday cake, allowed me to get balloons delivered, then they personally delivered them to our room and even sang him happy birthday! We had a wonderful stay at Wild Edge Retreat especially at the Earth Song villa. It was very clean, beautifully maintained and the views were stunning! The private pool was a real highlight. Emma was an incredible host - she called & check in made sure verything was perfect, which we really appreciated.

This is an amazing and very special place set in the remoteness of the Australian bush but with all the luxury and conveniences of a five star resort. It does not have room service nor 5 star dining but this is not needed.
