Fresh linens including sheets, towels and pool towels are provided for your stay. Our Guest linens & towels are professionally laundered after each stay.

Each Pavilion has a fully equipped kitchenette with a ceramic cooktop, microwave oven, full-size fridge, electric frypan, juicer, toaster and dishwasher.

Our log fires are stacked and ready for use from early May until the October long weekend. These times may vary depending on the weather.
Nespresso and Twinings
All Pavilions have a Nespresso Creatista automatic coffee machine with a supply of capsules. A selection of Twinings teas are also provided.

Privacy is paramount. Our Pavilions are spaced apart for seclusion, with screened pools/decks and no passing traffic, you can hear yourself think!

Impeccable luxury! The most romantic weekend away my husband and I have ever had! The hosts were so welcoming and friendly! The attention to detail in our wind spirit pavilion was phenomenal! We arrived to out candle lit pavilion, we soft music and the most amazing view! The bed was super comfy and it has a lounge area that overlooks the stunning view. A lovely kitchen too. The deck outside has lounge beds and a barbecue and the most amazing infinity edge pool. Not to mention the king size day bed oh my god! The first night we had the romance package so we went out to the local pub for an he and when we returned it's was ahhhhmazing! So many candles oh goodness it was beautiful. Rose petals on the bed! Soft music and we had arranged the seafood package for dinner, it was Devine all set up beautifully! The following morning we had the breakfast provided. all the breakfast goodies we cooked were supplied and it was yum. That day we lazed around by the pool and for lunch had the ploughman's package. Lovely local cheeses cold meats and breads and salads yum. Then for dinner yes more food we had the BBQ package so it included meats salads breads etc the meat was soooo tender it was amazing. Following morning we still had enough supplies for breakfast. With a massive bathroom and equally large spa and shower, fireplace, kitchen, dining and bedroom all in the privacy of your Pavillion, it makes Wild Edge not only 1, but 2 steps above anywhere else. - So peaceful, so beautiful I recently spent a peaceful weekend with my partner in this beautiful place. Alan's friendly welcome was appreciated and the service provided over the weekend was unassuming, unobtrusive and professional. What a location! Four pavilions are perched on the ridge with views down into the valleys on either side. Raised walkways lead from the carpark to the pavilions and pass newly planted native gardens. Birdsong and frog croaks abound! Lazing on the day bed and swimming in our private infinity edge pool with magnificent, expansive valley views in front of us was extraordinary. Our room was beautifully appointed with a full kitchen and a spa bath with windows that fold back to let you take in the 180 degree view. Heaven. We don't often spend big on ourselves but this luxurious weekend was well worth it. We felt like we had been away for much longer than a weekend! - Our Honeymoon We picked Wild Edge for our Honeymoon location after googling couple retreats in NSW. After a 5am flight from Perth, picking up a hire car and driving up to the retreat we were drained. We were greeted by Alan the owner with a friendly smile. Kindly they upgraded us to Earth Song for our honeymoon and chauffeured us to our villa. He showed us the amenities and left us to relax. A gift of sparking and a kind card to congratulate us on our wedding was very kind. The villa is beyond 5 star, it was spotless and not a speck of dust or dirt. Linen was extremely good quality. The thick towels were great. Breakfast provisions lasted us the 3 days and Alan always offered more if we needed it. Mushrooms with butter, delicious! Views of the valley and the quite location made our stay very romantic. It was everything we had hoped for and took full advantage of the peace, tranquility and magic view over the Wollombi valley below. As we have visited and stayed in the Wollombi area a few times before, we wanted to just chill out and make the most of the surroundings. We bought enough with us to be self sufficient for the weekend without a need to travel back down the hill. It was having our own private pool which attracted us to Wild Edge this time as we had been in the area in March previously and know how hot it can be. The joy to wake up on both mornings to the song of the bell birds and mist in the valley below made it very memorable. This along with the other abundant bird life welcoming the day was beautiful. I just wish I had remembered my Bird book (maybe something that can be added to each pavilion) Andrew and Alan must be commended for the passion they have for their retreat and the presentation of our pavilion. The place was immaculate and had everything we needed. We took a quiet stroll around the grounds to find out which of the pavilions had the best perspective for the different times of year as we would like to go back in the colder months to make the most of the fire place. After discussing with Alan, he pointed us to Earths Song which sits higher and has a north west aspect so would be drenched in winter sun.. - Wild Edge Retreat is such a beautiful place to escape with your loved one!They offer personalised check in times, breakfast provisions (Vegetarian, Gluten Free and Halal breakfast options) and WiFi. You also have the option to purchase gourmet platters when booking your stay but we brought our own food and cooked it on the bbq.We were welcomed warmly and assisted by Emma, one of the owners with our bags on her golf cart which was extremely convenient! She is such a lovely lady and was very helpful.We stayed at our very own private pavilion ‘Wind Spirit’ where we spent most of our time outside on the deck, unwinding and relaxing in complete serenity.We also met the local Goanna named Go Go and a few beautiful birds visited us by the pool to cool down.The kitchen was equipped with everything! The fridge had our halal breakfast provision as requested, some water, juice, milk, butter and condiments. We brought some of our own water bottles and soft drinks to keep us going as well which was very ideal. The pavilions are private, large, comfortable, elegant and beautifully appointed. They have a fully equipped kitchen and the fridge was filled with an incredibly varied selection of breakfast foods, enough to feed the most voracious of eaters. The bed is large and comfortable with great pillows. A large terrace with outdoor bed and bar-b-que runs the length of the pavilion and has panoramic views across the valley beow. The only thing to watch out for is that mobile phone reception is poor at Wild Edge (Telstra was ok; no signal for Vodafone) although pavilions have a landline phone. - Breathtaking, private and romantic. We stayed in the Wind Spirit pavilion for our wedding anniversary and we absolutely loved it. We were lucky to get gorgeous weather so spent all our time by the beautiful, private pool. The sunken hydrotherapy tub overlooking the beautiful view is just divine. The pavilion was beautifully clean and we had everything we needed to stay and relax for our whole stat. The day bed by the pool was a great place to relax between swims and just soak up the amazing surroundings. I communicated with them several times prior and nothing was too much trouble for them to make the weekend perfect . We ordered the BBQ Platter which included meats & chicken skewers which were very tender and salads of the freshest quality and there was enough for both a dinner and lunch the following day. Breakfast provisions were provided and again ample and of the highest quality. They even supplied a beautiful local sparkling wine in celebration of my husband's 50th. - TRANQUIL COUPLES ESCAPE RETREAT Wow needed to book a really peaceful getaway for my husband and I as he needed to decompress, I wanted something a bit different, quite peaceful, somewhere quiet, but with all the luxury amenities to. Wild Edge is just that. Emma and Mick are the perfect hosts and make it clear that they are here to help but not intrude on your getaway. Greeted with such warmth Emma took us to our pavilion and showed us what we needed to know. The ambiance was perfect the fire was lit, as was candles throughout, you instantly feel relaxed. The Breakfast provisions are just perfect, a great coffee machine, even oranges and a juicer if you so desire. A Dyson hairdryer which was pretty cool to test out! Immediately we felt like we could rest and relax and unwind. The view amazing the silence wonderful, perfect!!! honestly cannot fault it in anyway and recommend to anyone needing some serious quiet time - we didn't use the pool (this time) as cooler weather but we will come again. I thought the photos looked fantastic, but once we got there the photos don't do it justice. The place is absolutely beautiful and peaceful, and Alan and Andrew's attention to detail and personal service was just out of this world! We had the seafood platter ordered for two on the Friday night, and as soon as we arrived the place had tealight candles lit and the table set up for dinner. - Sensational in every way! Stayed at Wild Edge Retreat over Easter and it was the most amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, every single element of our stay was 5 star. From the welcome and buggy transfer, the quick overview of all the facilities in our Pavlion, the outdoor sun deck and pool, the bose sound system, the cleanliness, etc. etc. I could not speak highly enough of the owners or the resort itself. We opted for some additional extras with the candle packes (for a special occasion), couples massage and helicopter tour to Hunter, which were all fantastic in their own way. However, just staying and relaxing at the resort is pure bliss in itself. It's quiet, peaceful and very romatic with the two person spa, outdoor pool and breathtaking views. The pictures of WIld Edge look amazing but none of them can capture how wonderful it is in reality. A truly magical weekend. - Absolutely love this place, We have visited twice so far and each time has been great this place is quiet and relaxing. The cottage has almost everything you need for a great getaway only thing you need to bring is some food. When we first visited I read the website and didn’t really understand what was included so we did bring things that were already there like oil, coffee and bug spray. - Perfect Honeymoon I am not sure where to start with my review!! This place is simply amazing!! We booked online and when Emma contacted us by phone I asked a few questions and told her we were staying here for a little honeymoon! We arrived 2 days after our wedding and were greeted by Emma in the golf cart to collect our belongings to take us to our pavilion, The Wind Spirit!! First little personal detail I noticed was the "Just Married" sign on the back of the cart!! When we arrived at the pavilion, when we opened the door the aircon was on the room smelt amazing! We were greeted with a bottle of champagne and a personal note from Emma and Mick which I have kept for my wedding box and again some "Just married" signs in our room!! Our pavilion was incredibly clean! It had the feeling that we had been the first to stay there (which were obviously not) which in my opinion is the level of cleanliness you want! I had read the emails when we booked and all the info on the website and when I jumped online and read some reviews it is very clearly noted 1. The driveway can be rough! It was actually not as bad as I was expecting and noticed that it was better in some parts then the tar on the main roads! 2. Get your groceries on the way out because it is not a resort! We did drop into Cessnock on the way and grabbed some supplies, although we did go out almost everyday and have a look around but if you don't want to have to leave, it is very obvious to grab it on the way! We were on our way out one morning to go for a little drive and grab some breakfast when we ran into Mick he suggested a little cafe in Laguna!! It was perfect, thanks Mick!! The pavilion has everything you need and more! It has all top of the range appliances! We got the seafood platter and I cannot recommend it more! It was some of the best seafood I have ever had! It was so fresh! It was the perfect honeymoon waking up to the birds every morning! We stayed 4 nights, 5 days! The pool, the spa, the robes and the movies in bed! It couldn't have been better! This is an amazing and very special place set in the remoteness of the Australian bush but with all the luxury and conveniences of a five star resort. It does not have room service nor 5 star dining but this is not needed.

From the moment we arrived it was magical!
The pavilion, Nature's Mist, was warm with the fire already started and candles lit was truly beautiful. We ran out of kindling and found more (after a day out) appear at the the door (yipee!) on the second night. Emma & Mick were wonderful hosts, but most important left Guests alone. If you come expecting a typical style coastal resort, you will be disappointed. This is a private and secluded slice of heaven set in the Australian bush with all the amenities of a resort. Loved the privacy, swimming pool and time together in a wonderful place.
