Each Pavilion has a fully equipped kitchenette with a ceramic cooktop, microwave oven, full-size fridge, electric frypan, juicer, toaster and dishwasher.

Our log fires are stacked and ready for use from early May until the October long weekend. These times may vary depending on the weather.
Nespresso and Twinings
All Pavilions have a Nespresso Creatista automatic coffee machine with a supply of capsules. A selection of Twinings teas are also provided.

Privacy is paramount. Our Pavilions are spaced apart for seclusion, with screened pools/decks and no passing traffic, you can hear yourself think!

Just amazing! My husband and I were lucky enough to stay at the Wild Edge Retreat last weekend! It was simply amazing, the pavilion we stayed in "whispering forest" was fabulous, the bed was comfy, the spa incredible and the view breathtaking! We took advantage of the food platters on offer, the seafood was great value and so delicious! There is very limited phone service so the perfect place to jut get away from the world, there is wifi if you need to keep in touch! - Absolutely fantastic - everything better than I expected.Cant wait to go back! I heard about Wildedge Retreat from my ex boss who went there on his honeymoon. Have looked at it for months and finally decided to book and was not disappointed.. We stayed in Wind Spirit with its own infinity pool and I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Two nights was not enough I would have loved to have stayed at least another night. All the fittings and linen and kitchen appliances are top notch and the breakfast provisions were yummy. I agree with another reviewer on tripadvisor who said make sure you take all your provisions because once you are up there you won't want to leave the place until you have to. - My husband and I went here for a weekend getaway for our wedding anniversary and we weren't disappointed.We felt welcome from the time we entered the gates to the time we left. Emma our host was awesome, meeting us at our car with a golf cart to transport our luggage, and was only a phone call away if we needed anything or extra supplies.The breakfast supplies were amazing with a huge selection to choose from including cereals, yoghurt, fruit, bread, eggs, bacon, mushrooms, and fresh tomatoes plus a big selection of tea and coffees.Our log fire was lit, our cabin warm and tealight candles lit throughout our cabin and outdoor areas in time for our arrival for a romantic welcome. - Surprise 50th Weekend Away After deciding that I would surprise my husband on his 50th birthday with a weekend away, I started researching all luxury accommodation options available in the Hunter region. This is when I found the website for the Wild Edge retreat. The owners were wonderful in allowing me to plan the weekend so that my husband's birthday weekend was wonderful. I communicated with them several times prior and nothing was too much trouble for them to make the weekend perfect . We ordered the BBQ Platter which included meats & chicken skewers which were very tender and salads of the freshest quality and there was enough for both a dinner and lunch the following day. Breakfast provisions were provided and again ample and of the highest quality. They even supplied a beautiful local sparkling wine in celebration of my husband's 50th. The accommodation was elegant & clean , but above all the views were just breath taking allowing you to totally escape & relax. But once you drive up to the retreat that's where you were see the most beautiful nature view that god created. I call "Heaven on Earth". I love everything about this place the beautiful room, pool, tub, scenery, smell of nature breeze, essential oil, relaxing music, ruby the dog , deck, day-bed, fireplace, kitchen and the staff. 2nights was short i wish i could stay there forever 💜. Me and my partner have the most quality time together no wifi, no phone or disturb n also no social media time for us. 10 year wedding anniversary Firstly this place is beautiful, quiet and decorated really well. I dont really do reveiws often but always read them, however I've felt compelled to this time as I would have loved some warning myself. I can honestly say my husband and I have never felt more unwelcomed! When we arrived at reception our host immediatly started complaining about lack of water as they are on tank water, then moved onto difficult guests.When shown to our pavillion it got worse, each instruction on how to use or find things was followed by a story of what other guests had done leaving us with the impression that gests are the bain in there lives! Stories of people emptying and refilling the spa, turning the aircon on too low, lighting the fire in summer. On and on it went after just escaping three young children for the first time ever since having kids this was the last thing we needed! We managed to laugh it off however after he had left, unfortunately though the lack of tact continued the next afternoon. After going on a wine tour (Wollombi wine tours, recommend them) we return to find they had serviced the pavillion, something we were not expecting and perhaps a pleasant suprise untill we saw the letter on the table. Now I will admit we were smoking the night before somthing we do whilst trying to take ourselves back 9 years prior to kids, I had read on their website to put water in ash trays which we did do, we also lit citranella candels to ward off the mozzies. Our stay corresponded with a heat wave, so I do understand the bush fire concern as we live in amomgst the bush even more than the place is itself. The letter explaining this concern would have been fairly well recived by us except for the fact it contained the threat of penaties for arson, mentioning fines of up to $100,000 and years of imprisonment!! Really, happy 10 yrs to you both! When I looked back on the experience I realised that the first impression I recived with the phone call from our 'host' which was patronising to say the least, was just the begining of feeling like we had been wecomed to somone's place only to then be continuously reminded what an inconvinience we were being!read moreread lessSherene N29-11-2014Blissfully Relaxing! - Luxury in the wollombi bush My hubby surprised me with a 3 night stay at wild edge retreat, The Natures Mist pavillion. I had mentioned this place a few times and bless my hubby, he actually remembered. After 3 years of no holiday, we were definitely due for a little break. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed. I am bad with names so do apologize, the daughters father peter(?), was very nice to us (daughter and son in law (owners) were on holdidays and mother and father were house sitting). After having our luggage and ourselves taken to the pavillion in a buggy which was pretty cool. We were greeted by sandy (again sorry if name is wrong) who was so lovely and friendly. Sandy showed us how it all works and left us to relax. The views were gorgeous. We loved it. We actually saw a lyar bird which we thought was pretty amazing as we had never seen one in the wild before. The pavillion was very clean. I could not fault it. The pool was refreshing and the day bed is such a nice spot to relax after a dip. The sunlounges were comfortable. We liked the rustic look of the outdoor tables and chairs and seats were comfy, wide enough. We loved the coffee machine, so much we will be buying one. We did use the big coffee mugs and realised we should have used the little ones. Was not a bother for them at all to bring us more milk though. They also bought us more bacon, and dvds. The bath inside is very big and accomodating for a larger person which is nice. We had 2 baths in our 3 nights stay. We loved it. We loved the shower it had great pressure. Plenty of provisions like a variety of jams, fresh oranges for making juice ( there is a juicer), juice in the fridge, milk, variety of teas and coffee, breakfast provisions. Very well packed. We grumbled (not to them just to each other)a little over having no bbq (realised through reviews though after we got home that they can not for the fire safety, so felt bad for grumbling ) but we found it fine cooking in what is provided. We enjoyed our $180 bottle of veuve cliquot rosè very nice drink. The only thing (after finding out why they cant have a bbq) we thought would be nice is natural australian toiletries, some sensational ones out there. Some have bush scents as well. We have had aussie made natural products in a couple of motels we have stayed in. Molton brown was nice but i dont think it compliments where you are, the aussie bush. Its a small trivial thing and definitely will not stop us from going back. We loved it and recommend to anyone that can afford or want somewhere luxurious peaceful and welcoming to stay. - A Serene Relaxing Escape I love this place. From the moment you drive up to the gates you know this is going to be a special experience. Walking up to reception across the boardwalk and hearing the variety of birds singing in the trees, instantly made us both smile. Alan welcomed us in reception and was a great host and escorted us to the Wind Spirit pavilion on the golf buggy. Upon entry my jaw dropped as it was just beautiful, the decor and layout was stunning and so clean. The little touches, such as lit candles and the aromatherapy burner made me feel relaxed as soon as I walked through the door. Walking outside onto the balcony, I turned right and there was the infinity pool, which I could not wait to jump into. The day bed and loungers were singing out to be used. Alan and Andrew have thought of everything and throughout the whole stay it felt as though we were surrounded with luxury. - Just treat yourself- you deserve it! This is our third visit to Wildedge Retreat and I would have to say our favourite so far! We have stayed in Wind Spirit and Natures Mist and they are both divine. Our hosts Emma and Mick friendly and very approachable - nothing is a problem. I think the main reason this visit stands out is the attention to detail. The Pavilion was sparkling clean with little tea lights lit everywhere. The linen is new and of very good quality. The Weber BBQ is fantastic - we have one at home so my partner was ecstatic to see it was a Weber. A proper Nespresso machine with all the pods you need. They have sensor lights which come on in the middle of the night when you get out of bed - genious! Very generous breakfast provisions - absolutely everything you would want or need. - Utter bliss and best sleep ever What a treat - If you're looking for a premium stay in the hunter that will leave you wanting more, then this is the place for you. We stayed for one night only in Wispering Forest over the Easter break. Firstly it was great to find a place that tool bookings for 1 night only during Easter - that's actually how we found it, by filtering on Wot If. Not the cheapest place available in the hunter, but what a difference from all the other options. This place is no hotel. There are no communal areas, and you don't even have to share your view with anyone else! Uninterrupted bliss. When we arrived in the afternoon we were warmly welcomed by the owner, who have us a very nice introduction to Wild Edge and our Spa Pavillion. The balance was just right - enough information to enable us to enjoy our stay, without it being overpowering or intrusive in any way. Very friendly and personable. From then we were left to our own devices to enjoy the tranquility. The Pavillion was extremely well appointed - it looked like it had been recently renovated. The bed was so comfortable - best night's sleep we've had in ages! The breakfast provisions were excellent - everything we needed to set ourselves up for the day. The road leading up to Wild Edge is a dirt road, quite steep in places, although we were in a VW Golf with 2 bikes on the roof and had no problems whatsoever. There's too much to say and all good - we were greeted with warm smiles, given a brief yet informative tour and made to feel right at home, right away. The room was spacious and spotless, and although it opened right up to the mountains beyond, it still had an overwhelming sense of being both private and cosy. The log fire burned for almost our entire stay and kept us warm well into the night. Between the kitchen and the BBQ on our private deck we were able to enjoy most of our time at the retreat, only driving out for a short day trip to some of the local vineyards. My only complaint was that our time at Wild Edge was nowhere near long enough. The only downside about the whole trip was my poor little sportscar got hammered heading up and down the dirt road trek leading to the retreat. Its mentioned as a dirt road but its more of a 4WD track... Not made for a sportscar with low profile tyres as the 30 minute trip back to the town ended up with a tyre blow out due to the dirt road condistions now costing me another $600 and a long wait on the side of the road while i learnt how to replace a tyre again 🙁 ... of course not their fault.... - For our first weekend away without the kids in many many years, we couldn't have experienced a more pleasant and relaxing place to unwind. The stress started to disappear after arriving at the gate and being met by our amazing host Emma, who went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The service was genuinely 10/10 - warm, attentive and thoughtful from beginning to end. The breakfast provisions were more than generous, with plenty of high quality options to start each day perfectly. The setting is truly something special. Waking up to breathtaking views and the sound of birds calling mad the whole experience feel peaceful and restorative. The infinity pool was an amazing addition. It’s the kind of place that you can fully switch off and soak in nature. We highly recommend Wild Edge Retreat to anyone looking for relaxation, comfort and beautiful surroundings. From the moment we arrived it was magical!
The pavilion, Nature's Mist, was warm with the fire already started and candles lit was truly beautiful. We ran out of kindling and found more (after a day out) appear at the the door (yipee!) on the second night. Emma & Mick were wonderful hosts, but most important left Guests alone. Thank you for a much needed break. We will be back.
