Each Pavilion has a fully equipped kitchenette with a ceramic cooktop, microwave oven, full-size fridge, electric frypan, juicer, toaster and dishwasher.

Our log fires are stacked and ready for use from early May until the October long weekend. These times may vary depending on the weather.
Nespresso and Twinings
All Pavilions have a Nespresso Creatista automatic coffee machine with a supply of capsules. A selection of Twinings teas are also provided.

Privacy is paramount. Our Pavilions are spaced apart for seclusion, with screened pools/decks and no passing traffic, you can hear yourself think!

I had always dreamt of visiting Wild Edge and finally found the perfect reason to visit. Alan and Andrew are the perfect hosts, so warm, welcoming and friendly, and we loved meeting Ruby. We arrived off the main road up a dirt road wondering where we were going in the bush land to be greeted by a secluded paradise. Upon check in we were informed of the DVDs available to borrow and we were whisked away via golf cart to our home Earth Song. The doors were opened and my jaw dropped, the pavilion we stayed in was breathtaking, it was so cosy and warm feeling with lovely touches of candles lit and relaxing music. We were provided with a tour of the facilities and advised the BBQ dinner package would be brought over at 6pm. We also ordered a cheese platter, it was presented perfectly and lasted our entire stay. Every attention to detail was to first class presentation, with the towels having a branch from the garden, a complimentary bottle of local champagne, to warm crusty bread, balsamic and olive, and chocolates served with our BBQ platter. The breakfast provisions were more than substantial for our stay. The boys have thought of everything! The pavilion was immaculate with not one ounce of dust or dirt. We had a super relaxing time and enjoyed the peace, tranquility and luxury just soaking up the stunning views and sunsets. The bathroom was AMAZING with the sunken spa bath and large rainhead shower, we sat watching the sunset for hours. You have a fabulous business, and we can't wait to come back and try another pavilion, perhaps in the winter time to enjoy the fireplace! You won't want to leave when you get here!! Thanks for an unforgettable stay, we will cherish this time until hopefully our next anniversary!! - Can't wait to go back! This place is by far the best retreat I've ever been to. Quite, private and the room we stayed in was just beautiful. The guys have just taken over a few months back so they deserve all credit for turning it around - I've read some bad reviews from before. The new management knows how to run this place. My wife and I stayed here in the last week of Dec 2010 and it was amazing. We didn't take a lot of food with us so we had to go out to get it but next time we'll be prepared. You just don't feel like leaving the place. I've already recommended this place to so many of my friends.. One of friends is planning to take his girlfriend here in March - and proposing!!! - Beyond expectations We stayed in the Wind Spirit pavilion for our 10th wedding anniversary. We have stayed in some nice places before however this was by far the best. We were welcomed and shown to our pavilion and everything was explained to us. Breakfast provisions are provided and the sausages were awesome!!! The New Zealand stone bathroom was amazing, the hydrotherapy spa with bifold windows was pure luxury, and the infinity pool with king size daybed was heaven. My husband was stoked with the Bose system....I was more excited about the rain shower. We felt very welcome and nothing was a problem. Both Alan and Andrew were fantastic hosts who obviously take pride in their job and retreat. The surrounds are immaculate and everything is so well maintained. We ordered the Love bites and Ploughmans lunch platters which were very generous serves and included local produce. We spent two nights for our wedding anniversary. Spacious, immaculately clean and tastefully decorated with nice touches of attention to detail. Enormous deck. Fantastic views, beautiful setting and tranquil. Even the drive up to the lodge adds to the enjoyment as you wind up the unsealed road to the top, making it feel even more remote, yet you are just a few minutes drive to everything you need in the cute town of Wollombi. If you drive from Sydney, taking the exit at Peats Ridge is a joy to drive, though lovely winding roads and beautiful countryside. We took our mountain bikes and enjoyed the ride which there are many places to go. Host Alan and Andrew were warm and friendly and very helpful. - Romantic hideaway I chose this beautiful place to spend my 50th with my very romantic husband. We only had two nights at Wild Edge Retreat but it was superb. We had perfect weather. We were able to sit out on the deck of the Nature's Mist pavilion till late and lazily work our way through our cheese platter, sipping delicious Hunter Valley wine. The breakfast provisions were ample, including the hot cross buns we received for Easter. The pavilions are spotlessly clean and the bed was so comfortable. Andrew and Alan helped us out when my husband forgot to bring crackers and brought us a bowlful! This retreat is immaculate and we really did feel like we retreated from the world for two days. We enjoyed the vast array of breakfast provisions that were so tasty..obviously fresh and locally sourced..oh, and thankyou for the bottle of bubbly and the birthday cake- a lovely touch. We loved Earth Song with its lovely big balcony- perfect to capture the winter sun and glorious sunsets. The property is so peaceful, it becomes very easy to connect with nature. Tranqility is important to us and we really appreciate the fact that Emma and Mick make a point of not carrying out any noisy maintenance whilst guests are on the property. For us,this is pure gold. - Impeccable luxury! The most romantic weekend away my husband and I have ever had! The hosts were so welcoming and friendly! The attention to detail in our wind spirit pavilion was phenomenal! We arrived to out candle lit pavilion, we soft music and the most amazing view! The bed was super comfy and it has a lounge area that overlooks the stunning view. A lovely kitchen too. The deck outside has lounge beds and a barbecue and the most amazing infinity edge pool. Not to mention the king size day bed oh my god! The first night we had the romance package so we went out to the local pub for an he and when we returned it's was ahhhhmazing! So many candles oh goodness it was beautiful. Rose petals on the bed! Soft music and we had arranged the seafood package for dinner, it was Devine all set up beautifully! The following morning we had the breakfast provided. all the breakfast goodies we cooked were supplied and it was yum. That day we lazed around by the pool and for lunch had the ploughman's package. Lovely local cheeses cold meats and breads and salads yum. Then for dinner yes more food we had the BBQ package so it included meats salads breads etc the meat was soooo tender it was amazing. Following morning we still had enough supplies for breakfast. - WOW Factor x Infinity A challenge to get here in a regular saloon car. The approach road is well rough in places. Once you are here IT IS WORTH IT! The Pavillion has all you need and more. The fact the sound system is Bose says it all. Whatever there is in and around the Pavillion is QUALITY - a Dyson hairdryer, Molton Brown bath amenities. The view is to die for. The privacy is total. Emma received us and showed us to our pavillion with the skills of Sabine Schmitz around the Nurburgring as she gracefully drove the three foot wide golf buggy along the elevated three foot two inch wide wooden walkway. This is not a place with a WOW factor. It is a place with a WOW factor around every corner. You must bring your own food as there is no local convenience. However, there is ample breakfast stock in the fridge to see you right when you arrive. The provision of more supplies can be arranged. The Breakfast provisions are just perfect, a great coffee machine, even oranges and a juicer if you so desire. A Dyson hairdryer which was pretty cool to test out! Immediately we felt like we could rest and relax and unwind. The view amazing the silence wonderful, perfect!!! honestly cannot fault it in anyway and recommend to anyone needing some serious quiet time - we didn't use the pool (this time) as cooler weather but we will come again. - Luxury in the wollombi bush My hubby surprised me with a 3 night stay at wild edge retreat, The Natures Mist pavillion. I had mentioned this place a few times and bless my hubby, he actually remembered. After 3 years of no holiday, we were definitely due for a little break. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed. I am bad with names so do apologize, the daughters father peter(?), was very nice to us (daughter and son in law (owners) were on holdidays and mother and father were house sitting). After having our luggage and ourselves taken to the pavillion in a buggy which was pretty cool. We were greeted by sandy (again sorry if name is wrong) who was so lovely and friendly. Sandy showed us how it all works and left us to relax. The views were gorgeous. We loved it. We actually saw a lyar bird which we thought was pretty amazing as we had never seen one in the wild before. The pavillion was very clean. I could not fault it. The pool was refreshing and the day bed is such a nice spot to relax after a dip. The sunlounges were comfortable. We liked the rustic look of the outdoor tables and chairs and seats were comfy, wide enough. We loved the coffee machine, so much we will be buying one. We did use the big coffee mugs and realised we should have used the little ones. Was not a bother for them at all to bring us more milk though. They also bought us more bacon, and dvds. The bath inside is very big and accomodating for a larger person which is nice. We had 2 baths in our 3 nights stay. We loved it. We loved the shower it had great pressure. Plenty of provisions like a variety of jams, fresh oranges for making juice ( there is a juicer), juice in the fridge, milk, variety of teas and coffee, breakfast provisions. Very well packed. We grumbled (not to them just to each other)a little over having no bbq (realised through reviews though after we got home that they can not for the fire safety, so felt bad for grumbling ) but we found it fine cooking in what is provided. We enjoyed our $180 bottle of veuve cliquot rosè very nice drink. The only thing (after finding out why they cant have a bbq) we thought would be nice is natural australian toiletries, some sensational ones out there. Some have bush scents as well. We have had aussie made natural products in a couple of motels we have stayed in. Molton brown was nice but i dont think it compliments where you are, the aussie bush. Its a small trivial thing and definitely will not stop us from going back. We loved it and recommend to anyone that can afford or want somewhere luxurious peaceful and welcoming to stay. My husband and I have looked high and low for the best long weekend destinations and tested out many in various countries, and we’ve stopped looking. This is it! Total privacy, you don’t see a single other human being unless you want to. And if you do need anything that isn’t already in your pavilion, Emma and Mick are just a phone call away. - Wild Edge Retreat is such a beautiful place to escape with your loved one!They offer personalised check in times, breakfast provisions (Vegetarian, Gluten Free and Halal breakfast options) and WiFi. You also have the option to purchase gourmet platters when booking your stay but we brought our own food and cooked it on the bbq.We were welcomed warmly and assisted by Emma, one of the owners with our bags on her golf cart which was extremely convenient! She is such a lovely lady and was very helpful.We stayed at our very own private pavilion ‘Wind Spirit’ where we spent most of our time outside on the deck, unwinding and relaxing in complete serenity.We also met the local Goanna named Go Go and a few beautiful birds visited us by the pool to cool down.The kitchen was equipped with everything! The fridge had our halal breakfast provision as requested, some water, juice, milk, butter and condiments. We brought some of our own water bottles and soft drinks to keep us going as well which was very ideal. - Incredible Wow. What an incredible experience of a retreat. My partner and I just spent the last three nights in hunter valley paradise. To Emma and mick the owners are friendly, welcoming and so accommodating. The retreat itself is secluded, beautiful and the views are unrivalled. 10 year wedding anniversary Firstly this place is beautiful, quiet and decorated really well. I dont really do reveiws often but always read them, however I've felt compelled to this time as I would have loved some warning myself. I can honestly say my husband and I have never felt more unwelcomed! When we arrived at reception our host immediatly started complaining about lack of water as they are on tank water, then moved onto difficult guests.When shown to our pavillion it got worse, each instruction on how to use or find things was followed by a story of what other guests had done leaving us with the impression that gests are the bain in there lives! Stories of people emptying and refilling the spa, turning the aircon on too low, lighting the fire in summer. On and on it went after just escaping three young children for the first time ever since having kids this was the last thing we needed! We managed to laugh it off however after he had left, unfortunately though the lack of tact continued the next afternoon. After going on a wine tour (Wollombi wine tours, recommend them) we return to find they had serviced the pavillion, something we were not expecting and perhaps a pleasant suprise untill we saw the letter on the table. Now I will admit we were smoking the night before somthing we do whilst trying to take ourselves back 9 years prior to kids, I had read on their website to put water in ash trays which we did do, we also lit citranella candels to ward off the mozzies. Our stay corresponded with a heat wave, so I do understand the bush fire concern as we live in amomgst the bush even more than the place is itself. The letter explaining this concern would have been fairly well recived by us except for the fact it contained the threat of penaties for arson, mentioning fines of up to $100,000 and years of imprisonment!! Really, happy 10 yrs to you both! When I looked back on the experience I realised that the first impression I recived with the phone call from our 'host' which was patronising to say the least, was just the begining of feeling like we had been wecomed to somone's place only to then be continuously reminded what an inconvinience we were being!read moreread lessSherene N29-11-2014Just amazing! - Peaceful retreat,with great service We stayed for a weekend just prior to Christmas in the Wind Spirit pavilion. We were greeted with warmth and friendliness, and the stress of city life began to almost immediately melt away. No sooner had we parked when we were whisked away on a golf buggy to our pavilion by Emma. She assisted us with our luggage and proceeded to give us a tour of the pavilion. Candles were already aglow, and chill music was playing on the Bose stereo. The pavilion is well laid out and beautifully appointed, and the little details made this a very special place to stay. The breakfast provisions were great and even to the point where oranges were supplied so we could make fresh orange juice each morning using the electric juicer provided. The Nespresso machine was also a nice touch. The pool was amazing, and each afternoon, some of the wildlife would come and say hi. The deck is a beautiful spot to have breakfast, and afternoon wine and cheese with a beautiful view. We had decided to stay put for the entire weekend, even though the Hunter Valley wineries aren't too far away. We self catered our lunch and dinners, and the BBQ made this easy. We could not believe how tranquil this place was. The block out blinds made a sleep in easy. One morning of our stay, we had a dual in-house massage on the deck - being able to open the doors to the deck to allow fresh air and chill music to flow was great. Upon departure, Tamara came to collect us with the buggy and she was also very friendly. This is certainly one of the best places we have stayed and have already recommended it to friends. If you come expecting a typical style coastal resort, you will be disappointed. This is a private and secluded slice of heaven set in the Australian bush with all the amenities of a resort. Loved the privacy, swimming pool and time together in a wonderful place.
