Our log fires are stacked and ready for use from early May until the October long weekend. These times may vary depending on the weather.

Each Pavilion has a Nespresso Crestia automatic coffee machine with a supply of capsules. A selection of Twinings teas are also included.

Privacy is paramount. Our Pavilions are spaced apart for seclusion, with screened pools/decks and no passing traffic, you can hear yourself think!

A weekend to remember We have just stayed in Nature's Mist for our Anniversary. It was everything we had hoped for and took full advantage of the peace, tranquility and magic view over the Wollombi valley below. As we have visited and stayed in the Wollombi area a few times before, we wanted to just chill out and make the most of the surroundings. We bought enough with us to be self sufficient for the weekend without a need to travel back down the hill. It was having our own private pool which attracted us to Wild Edge this time as we had been in the area in March previously and know how hot it can be. The joy to wake up on both mornings to the song of the bell birds and mist in the valley below made it very memorable. This along with the other abundant bird life welcoming the day was beautiful. I just wish I had remembered my Bird book (maybe something that can be added to each pavilion) Andrew and Alan must be commended for the passion they have for their retreat and the presentation of our pavilion. The place was immaculate and had everything we needed. We took a quiet stroll around the grounds to find out which of the pavilions had the best perspective for the different times of year as we would like to go back in the colder months to make the most of the fire place. After discussing with Alan, he pointed us to Earths Song which sits higher and has a north west aspect so would be drenched in winter sun.. Stayed in the Wind Spirit villa at Wild Edge Retreat for my girlfriend’s 30th, and it was exceptional from start to finish. Emma greeted us on arrival and was genuinely helpful throughout our stay. She surprised us with a complimentary birthday cake, which was a great touch.||The villa is even better than the photos. The pool is completely private and has an unreal outlook, the bed is one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in, and the spa overlooking the mountains is something you could sit in for hours. Birdsong and frog croaks abound! Lazing on the day bed and swimming in our private infinity edge pool with magnificent, expansive valley views in front of us was extraordinary. Our room was beautifully appointed with a full kitchen and a spa bath with windows that fold back to let you take in the 180 degree view. Heaven. We cooked up a gourmet breaky and also ordered a bbq pack (which lasted two nights - excellent value). Perfectly located a few minutes drive from Wollombi - we cannot wait to go back. - Beyond expectations We stayed in the Wind Spirit pavilion for our 10th wedding anniversary. We have stayed in some nice places before however this was by far the best. We were welcomed and shown to our pavilion and everything was explained to us. Breakfast provisions are provided and the sausages were awesome!!! The New Zealand stone bathroom was amazing, the hydrotherapy spa with bifold windows was pure luxury, and the infinity pool with king size daybed was heaven. My husband was stoked with the Bose system....I was more excited about the rain shower. We felt very welcome and nothing was a problem. Both Alan and Andrew were fantastic hosts who obviously take pride in their job and retreat. The surrounds are immaculate and everything is so well maintained. - Second to None Wind Song Pavillion, March 2013. Spotlessly clean, excellent service, romantic, and couldn't ask for more. If you want a romantic breakaway, this is the place to go. Plunge pool, candles, bose sound system, sunken bath with opening bi-folds and lovely views. The host Alan was great and couldn't be more accommodating. It is quite isolated and a dirt road into the property on the last 2.5km, only 4 pavillions, but if you plan it, there is nothing else you need. We even organised a helicopter through Slattery Charters to take us on a wine tasting hop - so didnt use the car the two/three days we were there. Preordered food, and took a few bits and pieces of our own. Went out by day, and stayed in by late afternoon/night to soak up the atmosphere. We even organised a tandem massage which was done in our pavillion. Highly recommend My partner and I spent 2 nights in the Natures Mist pavilion. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a warm reception from. With a buggy ride from the car park to the pavilion, once we stepped inside we were taken aback by the beautiful scent circulating the room. The music playing in the room was beautiful and relaxing. The views from the room were absolutely stunning! The spa bath has a perfect view of the treelike in the distance and makes for great viewing at sunset with some wine. We were blessed to some amazing warm weather and made good use of an ample size pool and wonderful day bed. The privacy was perfect and the whole weekend spent there was simply care free, and didn't need to leave the room once. - So relaxing and private. Stayed here about five years ago in Wind Spirit and was thoroughly impressed by the location and quality furnishings and amazing infinity pool. We stayed in the Nature's Mist pavilion with a private pool overlooking nothing but green bushland which just captivates you for hours. - Absolutely love this place, We have visited twice so far and each time has been great this place is quiet and relaxing. The cottage has almost everything you need for a great getaway only thing you need to bring is some food. When we first visited I read the website and didn’t really understand what was included so we did bring things that were already there like oil, coffee and bug spray. - Worthy Of 6 Stars We had the pleasure of staying at Wild Edge Retreat for 5 nights last week to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday. As return guests we knew what to expect from this fabulous property, but were very impressed with the little upgrades that Emma and Mick have made since taking over, which easily elevates this wonderful retreat from 5 stars to a very deserving 6! Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by Emma who helped us with our luggage and showed us to our pavilion, Earth Song. Wow, what a treat for the senses! Cosy fire, tea light and aromatherapy candles and soft music. The pavilion was immaculate and equipped with everything needed to self cater. We enjoyed the vast array of breakfast provisions that were so tasty..obviously fresh and locally sourced..oh, and thankyou for the bottle of bubbly and the birthday cake- a lovely touch. We loved Earth Song with its lovely big balcony- perfect to capture the winter sun and glorious sunsets. The property is so peaceful, it becomes very easy to connect with nature. I surprised my friend for his birthday with a 2-day stay in the Whispering Forest Pavilion. What a treat it was !! The drive up to the property offers expansive views of the area. We were lucky to drive just before sundown and enjoyed a very pleasant sunset on our way up. Alan welcomed us at the gate and took us through everything we needed to know about our stay and Wollombi. This and the fact that there are only 4 pavilions on the property made us feel very special. We were lucky to get gorgeous weather so spent all our time by the beautiful, private pool. The sunken hydrotherapy tub overlooking the beautiful view is just divine. The pavilion was beautifully clean and we had everything we needed to stay and relax for our whole stat. The day bed by the pool was a great place to relax between swims and just soak up the amazing surroundings. It really has become our favourite place to visit and are already planning our next trip here. The retreat is just impeccable, so special, and cannot be faulted in any way. What the owners have created is really a one in a million experience and is truly magical. They are wonderful hosts and lovely people and it is clear that they put tremendous amounts of effort into ensuring that their guests have an extremely memorable experience. 10 year wedding anniversary Firstly this place is beautiful, quiet and decorated really well. I dont really do reveiws often but always read them, however I've felt compelled to this time as I would have loved some warning myself. I can honestly say my husband and I have never felt more unwelcomed! When we arrived at reception our host immediatly started complaining about lack of water as they are on tank water, then moved onto difficult guests.When shown to our pavillion it got worse, each instruction on how to use or find things was followed by a story of what other guests had done leaving us with the impression that gests are the bain in there lives! Stories of people emptying and refilling the spa, turning the aircon on too low, lighting the fire in summer. On and on it went after just escaping three young children for the first time ever since having kids this was the last thing we needed! We managed to laugh it off however after he had left, unfortunately though the lack of tact continued the next afternoon. After going on a wine tour (Wollombi wine tours, recommend them) we return to find they had serviced the pavillion, something we were not expecting and perhaps a pleasant suprise untill we saw the letter on the table. Now I will admit we were smoking the night before somthing we do whilst trying to take ourselves back 9 years prior to kids, I had read on their website to put water in ash trays which we did do, we also lit citranella candels to ward off the mozzies. Our stay corresponded with a heat wave, so I do understand the bush fire concern as we live in amomgst the bush even more than the place is itself. The letter explaining this concern would have been fairly well recived by us except for the fact it contained the threat of penaties for arson, mentioning fines of up to $100,000 and years of imprisonment!! Really, happy 10 yrs to you both! When I looked back on the experience I realised that the first impression I recived with the phone call from our 'host' which was patronising to say the least, was just the begining of feeling like we had been wecomed to somone's place only to then be continuously reminded what an inconvinience we were being!read moreread lessSherene N29-11-2014 - Blissful weekend away! 2 nts won’t be enough. - "How's the serenity" We recently had the pleasure of celebrating our 30th wedding at Wild Edge Retreat. We're pretty sure that there is no other place on this earth where we could feel so pampered and at peace. As we walked into 'Nature's Mist', we were greeted by peaceful music, candle light and the most beautiful view over the valley and farmland below. Alan gave us time to recover from the 'WOW' factor and then walked us through the pavilion providing us with every detail needed to ensure that our stay was comfortable and uneventful. - Perfect place for a getaway weekend. My partner and I booked the earth song pavilion for 3 nights (14/2-17/2), as soon as we drove up the private road and arrived at the gate we knew it would be a peaceful weekend. After we walked in to reception and met Alan he helped us carry our bags to the pavilion and gave us a rundown on the kitchen, spa and DVD player. The pavilion was awesome well laid out, clean and you couldn't fault a thing. The view from the balcony and spa was amazing especially one morning when we noticed the fog over the mountains. - Does it get any better than this? My partner & I recently enjoyed a 3 night stay in the Wind Spirit pavilion. Wow, what a great experience. The pavilion had every creature comfort, was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and completely private. The infinity pool was the big winner, it was simply stunning. The view from the balcony was something else. The vista was mesmerising with views of rolling bushland in the foreground peppered with bountiful birdlife and the odd kangaroo hopping around, to distant mountain ridges at the horizon. Nothing was too difficult for our host Alan, he was helpful and very informative about the regions attractions. The Nespresso machine was also a nice touch. The pool was amazing, and each afternoon, some of the wildlife would come and say hi. We had decided to stay put for the entire weekend, even though the Hunter Valley wineries aren't too far away. We self catered our lunch and dinners, and the BBQ made this easy. We could not believe how tranquil this place was. The block out blinds made a sleep in easy. One morning of our stay, we had a dual in-house massage on the deck - being able to open the doors to the deck to allow fresh air and chill music to flow was great. Upon departure, Tamara came to collect us with the buggy and she was also very friendly. This is certainly one of the best places we have stayed and have already recommended it to friends. Wild Edge is a truly wonderful and peaceful retreat
It's difficult to escape the hectic world but this place is serenity itself. The only noise that you will hear are the many birds and the view is untouched bush to the horizon. Having your own pool on the deck and all the other luxuries make it simply wonderful.

It is truly is an escape from the trappings of quotidian life!
This is an amazing and very special place set in the remoteness of the Australian bush but with all the luxury and conveniences of a five star resort. It does not have room service nor 5 star dining but this is not needed.
