Our cark is at the entrance to the Retreat and has two Tesla chargers and an outlet if you need to plug in your own!

Enjoy your bedtime with our custom made mattresses. Designed with AH Beard and made in Sydney, Australia, sleeping becomes an experience!

Our Foxtel System has 1,000 movies, including new releaes, and 4,000+ TV episodes OnDemand. Casting from your personal device is also available.
Fresh Linens Supplied
Fresh linens including sheets, towels, pool towels are provided for your stay. Our Guest linens & towels are professionally laundered after each stay.

Each Pavilion has a fully equipped kitchenette with a ceramic cooktop, microwave oven, full-size fridge, electric frypan, juicer, toaster and dishwasher.
Log Fires (seasonal)
Our log fires are stacked and ready for use from early May until the October long weekend. These times may vary depending on the weather.
Nespresso and Twinings
Each Pavilion has a Nespresso Crestia automatic coffee machine with a supply of capsules. A selection of Twinings teas are also included.
Noise, Peace & Privacy
Privacy is paramount. Our Pavilions are spaced apart for seclusion, with screened pools/decks and no passing traffic, you can hear yourself think!

Spend time on your private deck with a king size Outdoor Daybed, dual sun lounges, dining table and a Weber Baby Q barbecue.
Private Plunge Pools
Each of our Pavilions has their own private Plunge Pool. Complete with deck screens, so no swimming costume required! Perfect for a skinny dip!

Take advantage of the clear skies and our ridge top position to see the Stars from your Pavilion's deck. An amazing sight to behold!!

The Retreat has a great WiFi network, powered by Starlink, so that you can stay online, stream content and be connected while you are here.

Wild edge were so helpful, they made him a birthday cake, allowed me to get balloons delivered, then they personally delivered them to our room and even sang him happy birthday! Both hosts went above and beyond with everything that they did. The pavilion was so luxurious inside and out, everything was absolutely spotless. The pool and spa were totally private, it really is the perfect place to relax. The candle package was the most amazing thing, 60 candles lit up the room in the most romantic way. Its mentioned as a dirt road but its more of a 4WD track... Not made for a sportscar with low profile tyres as the 30 minute trip back to the town ended up with a tyre blow out due to the dirt road condistions now costing me another $600 and a long wait on the side of the road while i learnt how to replace a tyre again 🙁 ... of course not their fault.... - Amazing secluded getaway We had such a relaxing time at Wild Edge Retreat and we wouldn't hesitate to book again. It is tucked away just past Wollombi if coming from Sydney. We were warmly greeted on arrival and driven to our accommodation by golf cart, we stayed in Wind Spirit. We were immediately excited by the setup, in particular a large bed in an open plan room, the spa bath with large fully opening windows, opening out on to your private balcony, and the private infinity pool and day bed. The kitchen was well stocked along with delicious breakfast supplies. Weather wise, were treated to drizzle, warm sunny weather, and a storm rolling in over the hills during our stay. We met the local wombat and went for a short walk around the complex. But mostly we relaxed! And it was so easy to do so. The lack of phone reception is a blessing, and the wifi was very reliable for when we really needed to connect to the real world again. - Anniversary weekend away Well what can we say, just an amazing weekend away. This was a belated anniversary weekend away, I did my research and found Wild Edge Retreat. It was just what we wanted and needed. The cabin we stayed in was just amazing, private, our own pool and day bed. Beautiful balcony with an amazing view, there was nothing not to like. When we arrived about a 100 candles were burning, the attention to detail from the kitchen to the bathroom is just amazing. Wow, what a great experience. The pavilion had every creature comfort, was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and completely private. The infinity pool was the big winner, it was simply stunning. The view from the balcony was something else. The vista was mesmerising with views of rolling bushland in the foreground peppered with bountiful birdlife and the odd kangaroo hopping around, to distant mountain ridges at the horizon. Nothing was too difficult for our host Alan, he was helpful and very informative about the regions attractions. - Great place to unwind Spent three relaxing nights and enjoyed every minute. The location is perfect and the accommodation was very well appointed and comfortable. Well worth the trip. I agree with another reviewer on tripadvisor who said make sure you take all your provisions because once you are up there you won't want to leave the place until you have to. Alan's friendly welcome was appreciated and the service provided over the weekend was unassuming, unobtrusive and professional. What a location! Four pavilions are perched on the ridge with views down into the valleys on either side. Raised walkways lead from the carpark to the pavilions and pass newly planted native gardens. Birdsong and frog croaks abound! Lazing on the day bed and swimming in our private infinity edge pool with magnificent, expansive valley views in front of us was extraordinary. Our room was beautifully appointed with a full kitchen and a spa bath with windows that fold back to let you take in the 180 degree view. Heaven. - Escape to luxury Celebrating our wedding anniversary at Wild Edge was superb. The addition of the seafood platter on our first night and the massage and romance package on our second night was also a wonderful surprise. - Just treat yourself- you deserve it! This is our third visit to Wildedge Retreat and I would have to say our favourite so far! We have stayed in Wind Spirit and Natures Mist and they are both divine. Our hosts Emma and Mick friendly and very approachable - nothing is a problem. I think the main reason this visit stands out is the attention to detail. The Pavilion was sparkling clean with little tea lights lit everywhere. The linen is new and of very good quality. The Weber BBQ is fantastic - we have one at home so my partner was ecstatic to see it was a Weber. A proper Nespresso machine with all the pods you need. They have sensor lights which come on in the middle of the night when you get out of bed - genious! Very generous breakfast provisions - absolutely everything you would want or need. Even better a welcome back card and a lovely bottle of champagne greeted us.The view is amazing and the pool great for just diving in after a few refreshments. We were very well stocked with alcohol and food and did not leave our Pavilion! Alan meet us at reception & drove us down to our villa, walking into the villa was breathtaking, candles lit, soft music & a beautiful smell wafting throughout the room. - Worthy Of 6 Stars We had the pleasure of staying at Wild Edge Retreat for 5 nights last week to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday. As return guests we knew what to expect from this fabulous property, but were very impressed with the little upgrades that Emma and Mick have made since taking over, which easily elevates this wonderful retreat from 5 stars to a very deserving 6! Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by Emma who helped us with our luggage and showed us to our pavilion, Earth Song. Wow, what a treat for the senses! Cosy fire, tea light and aromatherapy candles and soft music. The pavilion was immaculate and equipped with everything needed to self cater. We enjoyed the vast array of breakfast provisions that were so tasty..obviously fresh and locally sourced..oh, and thankyou for the bottle of bubbly and the birthday cake- a lovely touch. We loved Earth Song with its lovely big balcony- perfect to capture the winter sun and glorious sunsets. The property is so peaceful, it becomes very easy to connect with nature. - Wild Edge Retreat is such a beautiful place to escape with your loved one!They offer personalised check in times, breakfast provisions (Vegetarian, Gluten Free and Halal breakfast options) and WiFi. You also have the option to purchase gourmet platters when booking your stay but we brought our own food and cooked it on the bbq.We were welcomed warmly and assisted by Emma, one of the owners with our bags on her golf cart which was extremely convenient! She is such a lovely lady and was very helpful.We stayed at our very own private pavilion ‘Wind Spirit’ where we spent most of our time outside on the deck, unwinding and relaxing in complete serenity.We also met the local Goanna named Go Go and a few beautiful birds visited us by the pool to cool down.The kitchen was equipped with everything! - Perfect 10th wedding anniversary weekend We spent last weekend at Wild Edge for our 10th wedding anniversary and our stay was absolutely perfect! We were warmly welcomed by the lovely Emma who took our luggage to our pavilion for us and explained everything. We got to our amazing room and the fire was going, soft music was playing and a bottle of bubbles was on ice. We then had tandem massages in our room and were well and truly relaxed. - Absolutely Beautiful Oasis!! We have not a single compliant about this beautiful tranquil oasis in the hunter! If you like luxurious with a breathtaking view of the valley this retreat will tick that box! Things we loved.....the cosy wood fireplace, the soft music, the 2 person spa (sheer bliss), the spectacular floor to ceiling windows, the dreamy bed, the modern furnishings, the well equipped kitchen. We spent much of our time on the private deck, just taking in the glorious views and were in awe of the ever-changing landscape from sunrise to sunset. We were fascinated with the abundance of bird life and watched as they happily pruned the native shrubs by day and were treated to a spectacular display of stars in the sky at night. We wish we could keep this our little secret but that would be unfair to our hosts who work so hard creating such a unique experience for their guests. - Just Amazing. We turned up a whole day early (oops) and met Andrew and Allen who were so helpful in offering to organise with us other accommodation, but we (luckily enough) we're able to stay in a different pavilion, before transferring to our original booking the next day. So our two night stay turned into three nights. First we were in the Earth Song pavilion. It was just stunning. Comfortable, cosy, spacious. Beautiful view of the mountains from the deck. We enjoyed a lovely spa bath (after running it, draining it and then running it again - heads up people, your romantic rose petals may be romantic for you, but NOT for the next people to use the spa. Don't put petals in a spa!!). Had a delicious dinner in, thanks to the well equipped kitchen and the groceries we picked up on the way, and a lovely nights sleep. We headed to the hunter valley zoo the next day, and had lunch at Potters. Both were awesome. The zoo is small, but perfect if you like to explore close up. We enjoyed it more than Taronga. Potter's had the most delicious food. We also visited a chocolate factory and the smelly cheese shop. Our next pavilion and original room booking was Wind Spirit. This is the best pavilion. It's the most private, and the solar heated pool is just the perfect treat. Lovely to daze on the daybed outside, after having a bit of a swim. The room layouts are similar in the pavilions, but Andrew and Allen have great attention to detail and the whole place has the most amazing luxury in the bush feel. My husband loved the rain shower head in the shower too, while I really loved the spa bath. The breakfast provisions they give you are fresh and tasty, bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomato's and bread. The juice was the best juice I've ever tasted too. We can't wait to go back another time to stay. A great holiday!!
We were blown away by the quality of every little thing. From the tea selection, to all the utensils and products in the kitchen. The cutting knives were sharp! That never happens in rented accommodation. The bathroom fit-out is spectacular. Every was amazing and clearly thoughtfully considered.

I found Wild Edge Retreat for our Easter Stay and it was the most relaxing experience we could have hoped for. Hampers ordered (BBQ, Ploughmans & Cheese) gave us ample food as well as the included Breakfast Hamper. We loved every minute of being surrounded by nature in this lovely Pavilion.
