Fresh linens including sheets, towels and pool towels are provided for your stay. Our Guest linens & towels are professionally laundered after each stay.

Each Pavilion has a fully equipped kitchenette with a ceramic cooktop, microwave oven, full-size fridge, electric frypan, juicer, toaster and dishwasher.
Log Fires (seasonal)
Our log fires are stacked and ready for use from early May until the October long weekend. These times may vary depending on the weather.
Nespresso and Twinings
All Pavilions have a Nespresso Creatista automatic coffee machine with a supply of capsules. A selection of Twinings teas are also provided.

Privacy is paramount. Our Pavilions are spaced apart for seclusion, with screened pools/decks and no passing traffic, you can hear yourself think!

Each of our Pavilions has their own private Plunge Pool. Complete with deck screens, so no swimming costume required! Perfect for a skinny dip!

This was a great place for a getaway. Emma and Mick were lovely, and the cabin was perfect.One thing I would mention is that it is up about 20 minutes of dirt track, so a thing to keep in mind when your coming to visit! Tranquility! Relaxing! Perfect! Clean! Amazing! We were booked for three nights at another tourist retreat in the Hunter, but after two nights we couldn't face a third. We were driving through Wollombi when we saw the Wild Edge Retreat sign and decided to drive up the road to see if they had availability. Fortunately there was one Pavilion available. We were immediately impressed by the tranquility on arrival and the outstanding service. Considering ours was a last minute booking, everything was well above our expectation. - Wild Edge Retreat is such beautiful accommodation, we could not of asked for more and the views were just spectacular from sunrise to sunset. We stayed in Natures Mist and it was gorgeous, having the spa bath looking down in to the valley was just gorgeous and very secluded. The pavilion had everything you would need including very generous breakfast provisions and even Easter egg treats. Alan and Andrew were very helpful and accommodating. - Secluded Retreat My wife and I stayed at Wild Edge Retreat for two nights in May 2015. What an incredible experience. It's a selcuded retreat hidden away on the top of a mountain with only 4 Pavilions. Your only 40 minutes away from the Pokolbin/Hunter Wineries but it feels like you are miles from nowhere. The Hosts are fantastic, Alan was most welcoming and very helpful. They had the candles lit and the fire ready to go on our arrival and the place smelt wonderful. We stayed in the Whispering Forest Pavilion which was well presented, so clean and included a wood fire, heating, a comfy King size bed and a huge deck overlooking the valley below. Very modern but cosy as well. Foxtel & Wifi are also welcome inclusions.The place is so pieceful. They have Wombats and many birds roaming the retreat. It was everything we had hoped for and took full advantage of the peace, tranquility and magic view over the Wollombi valley below. As we have visited and stayed in the Wollombi area a few times before, we wanted to just chill out and make the most of the surroundings. We bought enough with us to be self sufficient for the weekend without a need to travel back down the hill. It was having our own private pool which attracted us to Wild Edge this time as we had been in the area in March previously and know how hot it can be. The joy to wake up on both mornings to the song of the bell birds and mist in the valley below made it very memorable. This along with the other abundant bird life welcoming the day was beautiful. I just wish I had remembered my Bird book (maybe something that can be added to each pavilion) Andrew and Alan must be commended for the passion they have for their retreat and the presentation of our pavilion. The place was immaculate and had everything we needed. We took a quiet stroll around the grounds to find out which of the pavilions had the best perspective for the different times of year as we would like to go back in the colder months to make the most of the fire place. - Our Honeymoon We picked Wild Edge for our Honeymoon location after googling couple retreats in NSW. After a 5am flight from Perth, picking up a hire car and driving up to the retreat we were drained. We were greeted by Alan the owner with a friendly smile. Kindly they upgraded us to Earth Song for our honeymoon and chauffeured us to our villa. He showed us the amenities and left us to relax. A gift of sparking and a kind card to congratulate us on our wedding was very kind. The villa is beyond 5 star, it was spotless and not a speck of dust or dirt. Linen was extremely good quality. The thick towels were great. Breakfast provisions lasted us the 3 days and Alan always offered more if we needed it. Mushrooms with butter, delicious! - Tranquil private getaway My husband and I went here for a weekend getaway for our wedding anniversary and we weren't disappointed. We felt welcome from the moment we entered the gates to the time we left. Emma our host was awesome, meeting us at the car with a golf cart to transport our luggage, and was only a call away if we needed anything or extra supplies. - For our first weekend away without the kids in many many years, we couldn't have experienced a more pleasant and relaxing place to unwind. The stress started to disappear after arriving at the gate and being met by our amazing host Emma, who went out of her way to make us feel welcome. After being escorted to our pavilion, we were greeted with the most beautiful room with tealight candles, soft music and a Valentine's Day chocolate gift. After we unpacked, we discovered the kitchen full of generous breakfast supplies, various fruits, yoghurts, a variety of teas, a coffee machine, fresh local oranges and and electric juicer. "How's the serenity" We recently had the pleasure of celebrating our 30th wedding at Wild Edge Retreat. We're pretty sure that there is no other place on this earth where we could feel so pampered and at peace. - Perfect Honeymoon I am not sure where to start with my review!! This place is simply amazing!! We booked online and when Emma contacted us by phone I asked a few questions and told her we were staying here for a little honeymoon! We arrived 2 days after our wedding and were greeted by Emma in the golf cart to collect our belongings to take us to our pavilion, The Wind Spirit!! First little personal detail I noticed was the "Just Married" sign on the back of the cart!! When we arrived at the pavilion, when we opened the door the aircon was on the room smelt amazing! We were greeted with a bottle of champagne and a personal note from Emma and Mick which I have kept for my wedding box and again some "Just married" signs in our room!! Our pavilion was incredibly clean! It had the feeling that we had been the first to stay there (which were obviously not) which in my opinion is the level of cleanliness you want! I had read the emails when we booked and all the info on the website and when I jumped online and read some reviews it is very clearly noted 1. The driveway can be rough! It was actually not as bad as I was expecting and noticed that it was better in some parts then the tar on the main roads! 2. Get your groceries on the way out because it is not a resort! We did drop into Cessnock on the way and grabbed some supplies, although we did go out almost everyday and have a look around but if you don't want to have to leave, it is very obvious to grab it on the way! We were on our way out one morning to go for a little drive and grab some breakfast when we ran into Mick he suggested a little cafe in Laguna!! It was perfect, thanks Mick!! The pavilion has everything you need and more! It has all top of the range appliances! We got the seafood platter and I cannot recommend it more! It was some of the best seafood I have ever had! It was so fresh! It was the perfect honeymoon waking up to the birds every morning! We stayed 4 nights, 5 days! The pool, the spa, the robes and the movies in bed! It couldn't have been better! - Romamce and Luxury Wild Edge was a secluded retreat for our couples weekend. We stayed in the Earth Song pavilion and the view was breathtaking. The décor, ambience, facilities and service was of a 5 star quality Waking to the mist drifting thru the mountains and the bird song was uplifting and very special.. Our hosts could not have been more accomadating and discreet. Walking in to candles, aromatherapy and music set the tone for our weekend. If you like luxurious with a breathtaking view of the valley this retreat will tick that box! - Amazing!!! A perfect weekend for a special occasion! My husband surprised me with a 2 night stay for our first wedding anniversary weekend and it could not have been more perfect!!! Wild Edge retreat is in Wollombi. After driving for approx 2 kms on unsealed road we made it. Wild Edge retreat is a hidden gem where you feel relaxed as soon as you arrive. With only 4 private villas it is perfect for a couples getaway. Make sure you pack some food as you will not want to leave. We bought an esky with us with all the makings of a cheese platter and it was the perfect setting to sit on the deck and watch the sun set while sipping on wine and having a cheese platter. Breakfast was included and we cooked this is the fully equiped kitchen! Andrew was the perfect host so helpful. On the Saturday night we went to the hunter for dinner and on return my husband has organised candles, roses and champagne. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen!!! - Absolute luxury! I'm actually not really sure how to start this review! Well to start with, getting there was a bit of an adventure. Luckily we were driving a Hilux! Entering the resort took me back to Bali! Emma then welcomed us with her buggy and helped us with our stuff to our room, Natures Mist pavilion. Its huge! Its amazing! The bed is so comfy, the bathroom is massive. And the spa was a hit! The views outside were to die for. The pool was really nice to swim in in the morning or late night. - Romantic Getaway Two night at Natures Mist was the perfect getaway for romance and relaxation. A very warm and helpful greeting followed by a spotlessly clean villa with scented oils and soothing music. A lovely day bed to lay on and watch the day pass as well as a plunge pool. If you are looking for a relaxing weekend, taking a dip in the infinity pool or just admire a beautiful sunset /Wollombi Valley views, and not to see another human or car during your getaway, then THIS is the perfect place to relax /recharge! First getaway in 3 years due to travel restrictions, Wild Edge is a perfect seclude /private couples stay, approx. 2 hours away from Sydney to this beautiful quiet, secluded destination. As the road leading up to Wild Edge retreat is a fairly narrow dirt road. Recommend bringing what you need for your stay as we didn’t leave until our check out and so glad we did 🙂 Tip: once you check out, takes about 10-15mins - visit wollombi village for a coffee/bevy or Devonshire tea at Myrtle & Stone, local jam (from Gailles stall set up) or visit artwork gallery (run by volunteer staff). Accommodation - Everything was perfect! Outdoor - big balcony with 2 day lounges, little gas Weber Q, king size cabana with infinity pool - all we needed for a relaxing stay ! Indoors - oozes charm and modern decor at same time, comfy king bed, pillows (menu even available, if required), spa bath and shower pressure great, fluffy towels, Foxtel channels, fireplace (perfect for winter) and open plan room - spotless and cleaner than a 5 star hotel. As soon as we arrived, all breakfast supplies, sooo plentiful and fresh produce - loved it and better than a brekky buffet lol - everything you need, latest kitchen high-end appliances for coffee, fresh OJ and cooking. The pavilion, Nature's Mist, was warm with the fire already started and candles lit was truly beautiful. We ran out of kindling and found more (after a day out) appear at the the door (yipee!) on the second night. Emma & Mick were wonderful hosts, but most important left Guests alone.
