Each of our four architecturally stunning pavilions—Whispering Forest, Nature’s Mist, Earth Song, and Wind Spirit—provides complete seclusion with no shared walls. Enjoy private plunge pools (or infinity-edge pools), hydrotherapy spa baths for two, king-size daybeds on screened decks, and cozy log fires (May-October). It’s perfect for anniversaries, honeymoons, or spontaneous romantic escapes in the Hunter Valley.
Where is Wild Edge Retreat located, and how do I get there?
We’re located in the picturesque Narone Creek Valley near the historic village of Wollombi, Hunter Valley, NSW—about a 2-hour drive from Sydney or 1 hour from Newcastle. The final 5.2 km is an unsealed road suitable for most vehicles (including sedans), but we recommend caution for low-clearance sports cars. GPS coordinates: -32.938, 151.138. Upon arrival, park at our secure lot with two Tesla Destination Charging Points, and we’ll transport you to your pavilion via electric motorised cart to maintain the peaceful environment.

Our self-contained pavilions blend luxury with nature:
Bedroom & Bathroom: King-size bed, plush linens, Dyson hairdryer, Australian Wallawa toiletries, bathrobes, slippers, and a two-person hydrotherapy spa bath.
Kitchenette: Nespresso machine, microwave, dishwasher, ceramic cooktop, full-size fridge, Noritake cutlery (no conventional oven). Daily breakfast provisions include local free-range eggs, bacon, sausages, breads, cereals, fresh fruits, yogurt, juices, teas, and condiments like Vegemite.
Outdoor Features: Private screened deck with infinity or plunge pool, king-size daybed, recliners, dining area, and Weber Baby Q BBQ.

There’s no on-site restaurant or room service to preserve privacy, but Wollombi has dining options nearby. Bring your favourite wines or snacks—our Pavilions are equipped for easy cooking.
What is your privacy and cleaning policy?
Privacy is paramount: Pavilions are spaced for seclusion, with screened pools/decks and no passing traffic. No daily housekeeping to avoid interruptions—fresh towels, linens, and amenities are provided upon request. We respect your space while ensuring everything is spotless on arrival.
Is Wild Edge Retreat suitable for corporate retreats or events?
Absolutely! Refurbished in 2018 and expanded in 2022, we’re ideal for small corporate retreats, team-building, or executive escapes. Book all Four pavilions for groups up to 8, with the same luxurious amenities and serene setting fostering creativity and relaxation. Plus we have multiple Starlink units to get you connected while you are here!
